Hy! I am Raphael, conductor in Brass band in Brazil, Do you have this score to use? Thanks !!!
The North Shore Concert Band in Auckland New Zealand is practicing this at the moment and I who play the drums have to say I have rarely enjoyed anything so much! One of our trumpeters who shall remain nameless says he can't stand it, for what reason, I have no idea!! But I love it, and this rendition is excellent!
the song that cannot pick a genre to play in
I have fond memories of playing this in my high school Marching Band at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, IL. However, I have to say that this performance sounds much more polished and professional than the high school kids doing it, and it's so cool hearing the piece done right since I only heard it done the amateur way as a kid.
2nd Trumpet. played this for my spring concert a few weeks ago
We are playing this for our branson, Missouri show😂
The part at 2:38 was and always will be my favorite part. :D
I love the my old Kentucky home part
we are playing this as a surprise for one our our music instructors that's retiring. It's perfect!
My middle school band sight read this today and we kept it

Chicken reel
Am I the only one that noticed that the train is backwards...
a lot of steam railroads run their trains like that, especially ones with tenders
going down grade.... gotta slow it down somehow.
Its a cog railway, the carriage is not attached to the engine and the line is always on a 4% or greater gradient
That's it though, its not.
whats the song at 2:24
Can can music
I played eb alto saxophone and absolutely loved playing this piece!! it's a shame I am unable to do band again this year and this song makes me emotional when I hear because of great memories and a great first year of band, never played or read music in my life until last year and I'm grateful for it all, play this piece, it's a work of art💘😭👌
What song is 0:25?
RHRicochet vesti la guibba
What's the orginal piece name for 30 threw 38

Erika G. CoffeeBeans eyyy I played this in senior band on trumpet
Erika G. CoffeeBeans 3rd clarinet, and learned it within a week and preformed it with minimal practice
This is one of my favorite pieces to play. 2nd Clarinet :p
Looks to me like the cog railroad on Mt. Washington, NH.
Those trumpets are so amazing, it makes me happy to be a first trumpeter!
1:15 Sounds a lot like a certain part on Florentiner March.
At 1:14 - is that a direct snippet of Victor Young's score for Around the World in 80 Days (1956), or did he borrow it from another piece?
I'm in band I'm playing this....it's so hard
+AmazING 321 You will end up loving it. Trust me.
Playing this in symphonic band on trumpet #one of the hardest parts
+BMXlags15 I played for trumpet 1 in my last concert, not too hard once you practice enough :D
Nicolas Ford I'm actually practicing it now for my next concert
Im a junior now in high school, but my freshman year we played this and our director had told the audience to count how many songs were in this piece and no one could figure it out and it was the funniest thing in the world #flute
Cristina Collaros omg I play flute #flutegang
What is the original music for the one played at 0:58 ?
It's called cielieto lindo or something, which means beautiful sky!

Same for me too!
Omg same! Except i play the clarinet. I was scared of the high notes lol
+Patrick Dorman Sup Paddy
+Patrick Dorman Looks like you did your homework :p
When my band played this, my director would always put a good sized pause before the last note. One practice close to the concert we were running through this piece and right at the end, before the band director cued the last note, one of the trumpet players accidentally played before everyone else. And it was not a pleasant noise either. He then stands up and leaves the band room. My director thought it was funny enough that he incorporated it into the concert. He played the note purposely bad and the band director pointed him off stage before the final note. We also pour a bunch of bouncy balls on our director as the last note played. Still the funniest concert I've been apart of.
wish I was there for the big scene...:P
