I like how the composer of this song made it sound random even though the time signature is 6/8
This is actually impressive af. In Somari they just skipped the bassline or simplified it, but here it's actuallly fully intact. On a NES. Damn

@@geometricentric <The composer is named "Alex Mauer" who did a lot of bad stuff, I don't know all of it but I do know some details: They tried to use some copyright stuff (DMCA) to get money which lead to the abuse of the RUclips takedown system, Then did it everywhere else, raised the price of his music to thousands of dollars, then started sending death threats to some people. After all that he said he was a victim of rape, said he was a woman and then attacked people at a woman's rape center, and some other crazy stuff. That's what I've heard, some of this might not be true but it's all I could find, don't take my word for it>

this has a little bit of a spelunky vibe for me. It has more harmonic depth than most of the songs on earthbound, and the spac-y instrumentation is kinda spelunky-ish.
