I love you Billy. You are gorgeous
The average is 45 $ (tickets)... Now the average is 250 😬
MY LETTER TO U2-1987 I saw you guys on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at MTSU-Middle Tennessee State University Saturday November 28th 1987. The Bodeans opened up for you. I remember at the time Larry had a crush on Wynonna Judd and she came out and sang a duo with Bono! I didn't have tickets to the show. A friend of mine drove us 3 hours from East Tennessee to see the show. We bought tickets at the box office for $18.50. We ended up 8th row center stage! I remember back then the band held back tickets for fans who were willing to make the drive and couldn't get tickets via phone or record store locations. Thanks again to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr for making a special album and tour! I was 18 and had just graduated High School that year! All the Best! Gary Lagstrom
I remember they said the Pumpkins might not be coming out to play in the parking lot and everyone was yelling "MTV,MTV,MTV,MTV!
I was infront of Darcy front row when the band finally came out to the parking lot
If I had been that close to D'Arcy, I might have needed a towel to clean up.
Popmart was an extraordinary step forward in live concert experiance. I had tickets for rds in dublin but broke my back two days beforehand and couldnt walk so obiously i couldnt go .i was devastated at the time and seeing footage from popmart just rubs it in as it looks amazing .i say zoo tv in dublin and that was impressive but popmart dwarfed that but the music at the heart of all this spectacle was fantastic too .theres no smoke without fire..uv seen footage of the sphere and wow it seems tech finally caught up to zoo tv or actung baby 20 something years later .defo one of the top live acts ever from rattle and hum to songs of innocents experience no other band has had the constant quality and relevance for such a long career. Although winding down with age when they were in their prime they left their mark musically politically visually and not their own cover band ..legends
3:38 Carl Wilson?
Fucking AWKWARD. All those bored, silent journalists watching the screen.
Eureka Millie - My boy lollipop 0:03 Bob Marley - One Love 0:11 Jimmy Cliff - Many Rivers to Cross 0:20 U2 - With or Without You 0:28 Grace Jones - Pull Up To The Bumper 0:35 Sly & Robbie - Bass and Trouble 0:41 Free - All Right Now 0:50 I’m not sure about the tiny jazz segment between 0:24 and 0:27. It seems a bit too difficult for me to figure out.
Discotheque was a serious song it was a pre to Vertigo. Bono saw the future Rap and Dance are POP musik in 2024 In a way U2 we’re discovering what music and entertainment as a whole was gonna be like in 2024! Now everyone tours a Popmart show and people see it as the norm u2 really played futuristic music to everyone back in 1997!!!
this version of shame is killing me
best version of bullet ever
We Sure Miss MUCH MUSIC ( Learned About Canada + its Wealth of Artists and Bands + Love The Smashing Pumpkins 🤣❤🌻
pUG ... SUCH A GREAT SONG
lol he's so strange
To be fair, Bono doesn’t diss Nirvana specifically here. The editors of this video did. Pearl Jam played support for U2 in Italy just a few months before this interview was conducted, ffs!
min 48:42 aint seen nothing yet...9-11 , was just four months away 😲😲😲😲
Bono looks like Elvis Costello on the thumbnail
Inspiring! If I remade this song, I'd choose American Idols or former contestants Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, Syesha Mercado, Taylor Swift, Jenny Hudson, then other musicians Destiny's Child, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Ariana Grande, Patti LaBelle, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Drake, Nelly, Alicia Keys, Babyface, etc.
Popmart the time u2 started to cash in an went crap will u2 be remembered in 30yrs time there not a led zeppelin acdc pink floyd to name just a few greats u2 very overated
Went to the Sphere in Las Vegas, and they started the awesome show with this as they stepped on stage. It was so amazing. Never heard this song before, but I figured it must have been an older song of theirs. It's cool to see this video to hear where it came from
The Adore tour was magnificent. The musicians playing with the band were amazing.
Bono’s hair looks weird. Like the front is his real hair, but a few inches from the front it looks like a weave/toupee.
He began his hair loss during Popmart where he shaved his hair while on tour for hair transplantation. 2000's Bono is the résult with whzt you call "weird" hair
Holy Joe...
8:01 Nirvana diss LOL
Had this 📼 VHS. Rock n roll doggy....can't forget that one
Me too. I still have this documentary on VHS 😅❤. And last week, in a U2 concert, the man who was next to me on front row screamed "Rock and roll doggy" at Bono while he was talking, and he couldn't help but laugh 😅
Undefeated. ❤

Adore's by far my favourite Pumpkins album!
Hey!!! Anyone else notice he looks RIGHT AT D'arcy just before he sings the lines "we can't help but feel / that something has been lost" It's just after the camera guy almost tries to get in his face And he playfully pushes the cameraman down... and almost as if he had a foot on the stage or something he kinda spins around to do a 360 and ends up facing down d'arcy... anyway, I just say this because I've seen SP so many times he def glances at people and things from time to time... but to me at least, this looked Ike more than just a glance. Anyone else catch it? Or lol that famous video of by starlight where she hits a wrong note and he FUCKING GLARES at her like "how VERY dare you!?" I think it's a show where Billy may have worn a tie .. In case anyone should care to find it. Anyway curious if anyone else notice these things and might even possibly agree
Is that the best version of Pug ever... or?
8:47 ❤❤❤ Billy and D’arcy sound great!!
what the heck that was strange
Two words. Holy Joe!
This KMart announcement was and still is LEGENDARY. Brilliant move.
Edge has a pretty great tone coming out of that Casino for the slide solo. Also, Adam casually smokin’ a fag in the Kmart, lol.
He put down white music like Nirvana because Nirvana was leading the music charts at the time , on MTV , VH1 and sales . I remember . Bottom line jealousy
Finally, I've found this. To me it has the best live version of "Shame" and "Bullet with Butterfly Wings".
Zoo TV was fantastic, colourful, amazing, magic. The sound and look of it was just its own fascinating thing. Magic is the only word fitting of what it was. Like a circus or something, leaving its mark, never to return. If I get to time travel, I think I'll just spend the rest of my days as a Zoo TV roadie in 1992-93.
WTF why does it say slurs?
WHAT
great paul hewson aka bono & larry 1997 interview !!!!
0:51 where the logo pops up
A melhor e a melhor banda de todos os tempos!!!!!!!!!
Fucking amazing!!!!!
Damn I miss D'arcy
