Our FIRST Time on the ADULTS-ONLY Cruise Line! | Virgin Voyages | Vlog Day 1
Amazing review. I've been looking for a review from young people since we are a younger couple going on this same ship. I'm nervous now, it's 30 days out and I didn't do my research. Hopefully we still enjoy ourselves. Maybe we'll book some of the onboard excursions like getting a behind the scenes tour of the ship to make up for the boredom.
@@yohevianpolanco4539 Any cruise is a great vacation, but definitely look into those onboard excursions. Bring a book as well. We also bring card games like Uno and Monopoly Deal. Chilling by the pool is always a plus. If you go to the casino, that’s also a great place to hang. Sometimes they screen current movies. I think having an open mind and not going in thinking there will be TONS to do will help curb some of the boredom.
"This was one of the things it says to do in Bermuda when you're here, so we're doing it." She said what she said, periodt 😂! The drone footage was top-notch! We've always wanted to visit the caves. Thanks for the tip on visiting only one. Crystal is definitely on our list.
@@YourFavoriteCouple We listen to the experts over here 😂. Now, unfortunately that has us doing activities that we wouldn’t normally. Caves were definitely super cool! If you ever do a Bermuda cruise, that and Fun Golf would be our recommendations for excursions.
Did you report the sewage smell?
@@rjsmom168 We did not! It was an issue among other passengers, so we just assumed it was because it was an older ship. It wasn’t unbearable and not in common spaces, just the room. We opted to keep the bathroom door closed for the most part.
This sand not pink! 😂😂😂 those inflatable le chairs looked really comfortable. How much were they to rent?
If you look at it in the light from a certain angle it is 😂. $18 for the chairs, $15 for the umbrella. Looking back the price wasn’t horrible, but per usual we were being cheap.
@ATravelingBlackCouple hey, we understand prioritizing your coins. Nothing wrong with that lol
Bermuda is one of our favorite places to visit. We have also done alot of walking and used the bus system. We hope you guys found the Bus station that was right up Queen Street in Hamilton. We will watch more of your series, we are showing support as a Couple of New content creators as well. We have subscribed. Keep on Pushing through, you got this.
@@TravelCakeTrips Thank you guys! We really appreciate it. Bermuda was an amazing trip. We got used to the bus system after several fails 😂. Luckily we did easily find the station up Queen Street.
So you guys paid $575 per person for the flight?
Yes! Play Airlines is an affordable way to get to Europe. The same flights on different airlines were like $1200 per person.
Flying play airline in the summer, do they weigh your personal item bag?
They didn’t weigh our personal items. I think they care more about bag dimensions, but even then we were never stopped. I would try to get a bag close to the proper dimensions and not one that looks overly large. But, remember it’s supposed to fit under your seat, so keep that in mind too. The overhead bins were full, so we couldn’t even try to put our bags up there. Luckily I have short legs, so I wasn’t too uncomfortable.
@ Thank you
I need get out an explore with a good women this what happiness looks like proud of you guys live life🤩
@@CaitlinSchmidt-g1s Thank you so much! Traveling is our happy place ☺️
Heyy fam!!! We can relate to this video! YFC had our share of being lost. Absolutely love watching Chews To Explore. They are driving the buses like F1Grand Prix 😂😂😂. Music is 🔥🔥🔥 Glad y'all didn't have to go fishing for food. Whoa, bus never came! Nice workout! 12:56 We definitely want to do the caves next time we visit Bermuda! Great video!
@@YourFavoriteCouple Merry Christmas Fam! 😂 travel woes are always an adventure. The Chews have great videos that help us save money. Those bus drivers had us fighting for our lives the way they were driving. Eryck is a clown and always says we’ll have to go fishing because I don’t eat seafood. The caves were really cool! Just LOTS of steps to climb back up. We stopped at an ice cream parlor nearby, so that helped.
Great review by you guys

Good video!
Thank you for watching! Stay tuned to see how the rest of our trip turned out.
Looks like you had a nice time. I only have one suggestion, and that is to eliminate the background music when you are speaking. It's a little distracting.
Thanks for watching, and the feedback. We’ll keep it in mind for future videos!
We just came back from a 4 nights Enchantment OTS cruise today and we loved every bit of it. Looking forward to going back on it
@@taiyenwaibe4192 I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it! Where did you guys sail to?
Cruise hack: You can use the showers in the gym. Much larger and have solid doors, no shower curtains.
Great tip! Will definitely check those out in the future. Thank you!
Just found you guys channel and going to binge the videos. Love getting different perspectives on cruises. I’ve been on only one Royal cruise explorer of the seas and the kids was a huge thing for me because they were even at the 18+ shows which shouldn’t have even been allowed lol so I’m thinking of taking a virgin voyages cruise next year. Loving the content so far !
@@kaylawhitt16 Thank you so much! We are trying to expand our cruise travel as well! We loved virgin and would love to go back. We took other trips on Royal this summer and of course there were even more kids because of summer. On one of our sailings it didn’t bother us, but on the other one they were definitely running around.
You guys are too cute
@@OutsideCeeNRee Thank you so much 😊!
Happy belated birthday 🎉

First time watching your videos and really enjoyed it. Love your perspective. Leaving on an Enchantment cruise this week and chose the ship for all the things you mentioned; ie sit by the pool, do nothing, eat, few children, etc. 🙂 very much agree with your comment of researching the ship before you book a trip. Most excellent point you made. Also remember, ships don’t have floors. 🙂 great job, keep up the videos.

Great port guide! We haven’t been to either of these ports yet.

This looks so fun! Definitely makes me want to do an excursion if I end up on a cruise. The climb up the site was my fav part 💕
@@shy_sorai Thank you so much for watching! We love to do excursions at each port to explore the places we visit. Helps us decide to travel there directly in the future. Definitely give it a try if you go on a cruise!
We loved the Grandeur -and serenade-it had shower doors-we loved them-the food was great and the fact theyre smaller is fine with us -less kids -and the reason the same food is on the menu is because people like it and its the feedback coming from the passengers-windjammer is buffet -duh -you people are terrible snobs. Please dont be on my next cruise
Snobs is a new one lol. Thanks for watching! As we mentioned, we enjoyed serenade when we went last year. It all depends on who you go with and if the people around you are enjoyable. Everyone has a different opinion, and we’re just sharing ours in this video.

Royal has different class ships, always check and see what the ship offers before booking.
Yes! We plan to do more research moving forward. We were really just trying to work around several different budgets.
Excited about this vlog! I have been peeping Xcaret. Hoping to get there soon.
@@SeeItWithC We had a great time! Would love to do some of the other parks one day.
Lack of salt and/or pepper should not affect your food review negatively, these items can be added to suit your individual taste and is sometimes prepared that way .
@@AnonyMous-nl7ig You are 1000% correct! There was honestly way more to it, but that was the first thing I could think of. More flexibility and options would be great. The problem was that we had just come off Independence with the exact same menu, but slightly better quality.
I reinforced my water shoes by covering the soles with clear shoe goo and added a waterproof cushion insert... great for ship to beach or private island exploring. Travelling with a charging bank keeps the fan spinning. Enjoying your vids.
@@AnonyMous-nl7ig Great tip! We will try that next time because our feet were TORE UP!
Whew yall are brave for taking that trip across to the cancun side. I guess we could but we sleep in too late to do that. Lol we'd be scared we won't make it back in time. But we saw all the many excursions they offer there when we did an all inclusive stay in playa del carmen. We almost booked one. Maybe next time. It's so beautiful there. Thanks for taking us along and for the tips
@@philanddeetravels We were nervous, but that’s why we went with a Royal excursion in case we were late getting back! That early wake up time was definitely a stretch for us, would not recommend. Would love to do an all inclusive stay in Playa del Carmen. It was so nice.
All paid, all should see (if they want to)...totally agree. First-time viewer and loving it.

@@msfabuloso Thank you so much! He really is great 😂. I promise it wasn’t as hot as he made it seem though lol. I hope you enjoy your trip! Virgin is a blast.
My wife and I are middle-aged, and my wife and I want to take our first cruise. My wife is really conservative. Would Virgin or Celebrity be better for people like us.
Thanks for watching! We personally have not been on Celebrity, but have heard great things. We absolutely loved our time on Virgin, but at times it was a little risqué. I think you guys would be ok if you skipped shows like the Misbehave Show and relaxed in hot tubs away from the main pool deck. But, I probably would go with Celebrity to avoid anything that may make you all uncomfortable.
all in all everyone is different and the vibe I got from you and Morgan is that you love Royal. which is total opposite of me. nnorweigian is at the top for me royal ranks 3rd or 4th. I have a friend that cruises 8-1o times a year, he put Virgin at the top when it came to the experience and entertainment and he cruises Royal most of the time hes been on almost every royal cruise but he gave scarlet lady and valiant lady 5 plus stars which made me and my girl book it for her 30th.
@@marquistoliver8571 SO! We definitely are loyal to royal, but after this Virgin cruise we definitely changed our tunes. We went on two Royal cruises this summer and they just didn’t live up to our expectations. We’re going on Icon soon so we are excited. But, Virgin definitely is up there for us.
@@marquistoliver8571 I think Virgin is definitely the place to be for a 30th! The adults only vibe is so refreshing. Food was top tier and the entertainment funny.
@@ATravelingBlackCouple wishing you the best sailing on icon that ship looks amazing
the more videos I watch the golf carts are a great idea. spend a little time at the beach club then rent a golf cart and go see the island. real Caribbean cuisine cheaper drinks and food is better and way cheaper. I stumbled across a few videos where they rented a golf cart and found hookah bars and way more. which is a plus because my girl loves hookah. but golf carts are a must if you want to see the island and its beauty.
ayyy day 4 was litty 2 titty at the pool i know where me and my girl will be. and we were def talking about doin the karaoke
@@marquistoliver8571 Definitely the place to be. Karaoke was so much fun! Neither of us participate infront of big crowds so this was perfect for us.
feel like the buffet is nasty and unsanitary all of the people walking along the food and touching everything. but for this cruise we have reservations at razzle dazzle and the wake for breakfast day 2 and 3
@@marquistoliver8571 LOVED the wake for Breakfast. We never got to try razzle dazzle in the AM. We stuck to the made to order things in the buffet, so it wasn’t too bad!

@@marquistoliver8571 We would definitely love to go back! It was a nice change of pace to have somewhere to go other than the cruise terminal.
Sorry to keep commenting but the crowd on the ship are very key, you are totally right. Generally I like going on when many US passengers as they are more lively than UK and Europeans (I’m from the UK) but you are right the age as well. I went on a New England cruise on the Liberty and it was deserted by 10.00pm, also a 3 day weekend cruise on Freedom, out of Miami and the ship partied to the early hours. So key factors when booking, what you looking for destinations or the ship to be the destination, so choose appropriately but also what kind of crowd is likely to be in the ship, shorter weekend, young vibe, longer trips. out of season, older, slower pace, which some people prefer, me, in my 50’s, a mix of the two.
These are great tips, so thank you for all the comments lol. This sailing was definitely eye opening for us. A lot more goes into picking the perfect sailing than we thought (we meaning Eryck because Morgan warned me😂). We're going on Icon at the end of the year and then we'll probably stay between freedom & quantum class going forward. We aren't partiers or heavy drinkers. We don't necessarily need all the extra amenities of the big ship, but enjoy people watching, so bigger ships work better for us lol.
Good vlog as it warns people that you must do your research before you go on a ship, otherwise can end up with the experience you had. RC have really focused on the family and from Voyager class forward, there is a lot to do on those. However, the Vision class and you could argue the Radiance class (although you did enjoy Serenade, so as you say the crowd play a big part as well) ships are older and don’t fit that brand image, they reflect a time when cruising was, eat, drink, relax and destinations, the newer ships are the destinations in themselves. So it’s all about your expectations, I have done this ship at the end of 2.5 weeks on travelling southern US, so was happy just to chill. (I’m from the UK), Also done the Vision of the seas, same class as Enchantment, as had only done previously bigger ships, my expectations were very low, in fact it was better than I thought but it was a Med cruise, it was all about great destinations nearly every day, so did not need much from the ship, apart from rest and food. RC are bringing out a new “smaller ship” ( still bigger than this most probably) so be interesting how they design this ship of “making the ship the destination” when they have a smaller space. But just think, smaller old ship, go for the destination, want the ship to be the destination then the medium to bigger ships. As from the UK I like a bit of sun in winter, 7 day Caribbean cruise in mid Jan starts from $550, on this class ship, which is excellent price. So they can be useful in the right circumstances but your family circumstances were very different.
100% agree that research and setting expectations are important. I think we came in expecting to do as we had on the previous ships and were let down when we realized we couldn’t. I can definitely see this ship as a drink, chill in the pool, and splurge on excursions type of trip (that's exactly what we did😂). On our previous sailings (Independece 2x & serenade) we only did 1 excursion and the ship made up for the rest of the days. As far as how RC plans to make these smaller ships into "the destination", I think just adding the sports court and maybe the flowrider would be enough! Each wouldn't take up too much space. Late night basketball on serenade was our daily routine lol.
I am sure you will love Icon, you are sound the same kind of cruisers as us, have a few drinks, want it to be lively around us but not to be too involved yourself. I haven’t done Icon yet but done all the other class ships, now I enjoy what the ship provides rather than what it’s missing. As started with the smaller ships I wasn’t sure if the bigger ships were going to be too big, but the bigger the better. If budget allows and time (I know we get far more vacation leave in UK than you do in the US) but if you can I would recommend an Alaska cruise and then spend few days in Alaska, or come over to our side of the pond and have a Mediterranean cruise. As said before, so many good ports and history that what ship you go on is not so important, so can get a better deal on smaller ships.
We’re trying to catch up to you😂 We’ve been eyeing an Alaska sailing for next year on Anthem of the Seas! And I’ve been itching to get back on Virgin. They have a Mediterranean sailing that I think will be really good. Thank you for this advice!
Yo guys, I have to know where you get your music from! 😂 it's jamming
Gotta shout out @thekeyairacymone on this one. Try searching “R&B Non-Copyright”. The mixes actually be 🔥
That atrium looked beautiful. I like that they try to get to know you and remember your names. Probably why there's lots of people who like the small ships. It's more personable.
@@philanddeetravelsWe really like the idea of small ships! The familiarity and interactions with the staff is unmatched. We LOVED Serenade when we went on it with our friend group. It is also a smaller and older ship, but it had a few more upgrades. I think the new class of smaller ships will be perfect for us.
