You don’t mention how you attach the two mushroom pieces together… or did I miss it?!?!
I made a couple leaf bowls like yours and learned that I couldn’t put it in the slab roller, I used my rolling pin to roll the leaf….I could control the pressure better over the veins of the leaf
What kind of antiquing do you use for going over white acrylic paint to make shadows and then chalk over
I didn't do any antiquing, but you can use a product like Fashenhues or make a wash with Duncan Thin & Shade and acrylic.
Do you have the large Kemper Extruder? Cannot find on your website.
Unfortunately, Kemper discontinued that extruder. The Nidec/Shimpo extruder we have on our site is wonderful and fits all the dies from Kemper as well.

hi michael! do you think this method would work as well with an sc-14 (java bean) wash instead of the tuxedo? i absolutely LOVE these leaves. they look almost iridescent!
Java bean will give you a lighter background and won't give as much definition, but it will work.

What about attaching the body upside down to the wings so when it dries, the wings would be on the top of the body and then you can put a vent hole on the body’s undercarriage that could also be used for the stake? 🤔

After your finished chalking can you antique the article then spray to seal everything??
It's best to antique before chalking. The color will show through the chalk.

You did not antique the pieces… I have generally antiqued then spray with porcelain spray… ?
Great explanation and demo! I never tried glazing with banding wheel but I might try it after watching this video
