One doesn't have to do it, neither feel as if they can't do it, because it's frowned upon. Just make sure everything goes down the drain and gets washed. Perhaps even, open the window after, so it doesn't smell, if you are not the only one using the shower. As long as you don't do it at the end of the shower and don't clean your self with soap, then it's really fine by me.
