It's been a while! I'm happy to have some time this summer to do some recording and have wanted to do this song for a long time, so here it is. I initially tried to do this as a big band cover like my other King Gizzard songs, but I quickly found it didn't quite have the same effect. It quickly evolved into the fusion/funk song you're listening to now.
I have two kids now, so I'm cutting down a bit on the video editing and more or less putting my priorities on making a solid recording. I hope you're not too disappointed.
It took me a long time to figure out what to do with the middle section of the song, but it all fell into place when I decide...
