I know Kageyama's intention is good, but he's actually rude to Oikawa here. We Japanese are very strict about respecting and maintaining hierarchical relationships. When Oikawa says no, Kageyama never listens. He didn't leave Oikawa alone until he get what he wanted. That's kinda crazy. If I had a junior like Kageyama, I'm sure i'm gonna insane too.

The way the first few seconds of this video is done as the scene in the anime seems so cool to me, mainly the body language part. Oikawa has his chin down, guarded as he has that inferiority complex, and then actively puts his chin up in a condescending pose as he needs to keep up the pretence.

I only watch Haikyuu because of Oikawa. And anyone who thinks that these two boys hate each other is very mistaken. They understand each other more than anyone else. My favorite characters ❤️

i like oikaaw so much hes one of my favorite in haikyuu at first i hate him but dang the way the character was made and develop was something that i cant help but relate too, other than tendo of course. i dont see how they hate oikawa, yes at firt hes a piece of shit but as the anime goes, hes really decent guy. ive been bullied before but i dont see how this man become a bully? he never hurt kageyama physcially nor verbally attack somebody else. he only teases that "seems like" a bully would do but no. tsukishima is more of a bully (attacking not only hinata and kageyama with nishinoya and tanaka and few others) than him.

Haikyuu is just one player thinking another player of their position is the better one, and competing to overcome them. We have Oikawa-Kageyama, Akaashi got distracted thinking he would've been better if he was like Kageyama or Atsumu (manga), Atsumu being (respectfully) disgusted at Kageyama's abilities (manga). Tsukishima-Kuroo will battle it out in season 5, as will Yaku and Noya. It makes the matches all the more fun and I'm so here for it.
