This was a great watch.

The lantern battery is to flash the field of the diesel generator if it has been shut down for a long time. I was on a boat that was in the yard for 2 years and it flashed it self on the first start of the EDG. But we are taught that on nuke boats. nothing to do with the reactor. The reactor requires at minimum the EDG to power controls and pumps to start.

Great video.. Ditch the annoying background music.. the people that care like us will probably be annoyed by an endless loop of “ohhhh ohhhh ohhhh” mindless vocals. Maybe I’m on “the spectrum” though. If the content wasn’t so cool, I’d’ve bypassed the video. Muted when eve you guys weren’t talking though. Great tour anyways.

The Blueback was in San Diego back in the late 80's and 90's - when filming the Hunt for Red October - the crew got to play some of the extra's in the movie. Also - the diving officer on one of the US boats in the movie - was a real LT who was stationed at the Trainers at the time. ET1(SS).

Thanks for taking us to this location. These are much bigger than Part 1 fighters. It's wild that this an outside museum. Is that mold on top of the C-141B? Can't tell if it's paint or mold. Looks like a project for freshly transferred airman. :)

I love the engine shots with the pole. It's a really unique shot coming over the back between engines. It kind of warps one's standard view of an airframe by thinking about the geometry in reverse.

Another great tour. Especially the "picture" of the good looking guy in the Laboratory. I honestly couldn't imagine the pressure of sitting in that conference room table and commanding from 35,000 feet. That feels more stressful then the war room at the White House. The camera shots from above the wing are wonderful.

I didn't know those were the same engines as the Vulcan. How fun. Isnt the Vulcan the plane that howls as it approaches? I wonder if the Concorde did that.

Great voice over and great details. That's kind of wild about the left hand throttle. What happens if the commander has an medical issue and the co-pilot needs to take over?

Compared to other videos you've posted, this plane has a lot more buttons. I'm not sure i've seen an engineering station. It is very curious at that station what all those levers would do. Also a toilet? You said it's a long range museum, so I guess that means toilet. Brings a whole new meaning to dropping a bomb in the bathroom.

Stainless Steel? I thought it looked like the CyberTruck. I'm honestly blown away how long this frame is for a one seater. On top, it seriously looks like an old anime plane from Macross. Neat video. The second plane with the uncapped engine bay is kind of amazing to see how much space that engine takes up.

That was good...space inside the craft looks very tight n narrow....n nice detail on explaining the craft as well....

I've never felt quite this old before. I remember when Victor Belenko landed his MiG-25P at Hakodate airport and it was a very big deal. Your video shows rather starkly how much things have changed. I do wonder if these museums still exist or if they look more like your pictures from Iraq. These are not the best of times, unfortunately, but the video is much appreciated!

Love the "you are here" photos. Is this a normal tour they provide? It's wild that they rolled up a ladder for you to use. Soooooo many wires just wrapped and stuck against the frame. You did very well with that obstacle course, but I could not imagine attempting the same while in flight. Finally, you didn't want to walk on the bomb hatch? Can't blame you.

Very cool! I had never heard of this plane before. I can't think of other planes that look like that, with the huge propellers and shorter fuselage. The double rear guns seem like they would own smaller planes. SOOO... interesting and unique how the propeller interior interior cylinder goes into the bigger engine casing.
