As a kid, Future Perfect blew my mind. It was one of the first FPS games i was genuinely obsessed with. One of my first experiences with local splitscreen. One of the first games to ever make me laugh while also feeling aware of itself.

I believe you completely missed the point of Sten as a character. He acts as an insight into the Qunari culture which in itself is a bit flawed and to the point. His abrasiveness is a direct correlation to the Qunari philosophy, as in you have a purpose and you must fulfil that purpose. Stem being of the Beresaad, his purpose is to act as a militant informant. He has been sent to see what the Blight situation is. And in fulfilling his purpose his group is wiped out and he lost his sword (a huge dishonour and big deal of shame in the Qunari culture), he had in essence failed his purpose. So upon waking up in a native Ferelden’s home, with said Fereldens claiming they don’t know where his sword is, his outburst (which he after a while admits to feeling shame towards) makes sense in that context. I think even looking deeper Sten acts as a warning of fanatical dogmatic thinking. And personally I find his abrasive and stoic personality charming at times.

Dark and twisted, but delightfully fun, creative and attention grabbing! And it's not just the game either, Gregory Horror Show is one of those animated series that had it's own unique spark of charm and uniqueness! I've seen all four of the volumes in the series, the longplay of this game AND (Recently) the three volume Gregory Gallery Tour Specials that's up on RUclips! It's disappointing that this is such an obscure series that's only seen in Japan and Europe, because we fans in the US love this series! And it's even more obscure when it comes to games! As of typing this, only the GHS mobile games are released in Japan. There's a new Holiday special that's planned for release in Japan, and a KickStarter's set up for the Gregory Horror Show: Soul of Roses funding. I can only hope that more people will see the GHS animated series and game, so they can understand why it's a classic! I'm not much of a horror fan, but I'd put this game on my list of Not So Scary Horror Games to play, right there with Luigi's Mansion. And I'd put this on my list of tv series of Not So Scary Shows/Movies to watch, with Courage the Cowardly Dog and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Just a fun fact: Zevran is not the only character that will agree to a threesome. Under the right circumstances, Leliana will also agree to a threesome. If you are romancing Leliana and have Zevran in your party, Isabela will have a foursome with you.

Playing Digimon World 1 as an 8 yo with inadequate English skills was a.. journey But god dammit I wanted a cool Digimon and this was my only Digimon game

I gotta say this is a very good retrospective. I just wanted to add that I never had trouble with the first Timesplitters. In fact, hearing that you died a lot or that a majority of people have is very surprising to me. As far as FPS' go, it was the easiest one I ever played. I assumed this was the case for most players. Guess I was wrong. 🤷

I love Digimon and I am glad to see fans rejoice. This is my favorite game on the PS1, the music, the world building and raising Digimon just made me feel responsible. I totally agree that there should've been a guide to raising the Digimon you want. I've got so many memories of this game.

Im taking the question qlone yes why yes it is the best rpg. Atleast until another bioware classic was revived by larien. Its my favorite game again until bg3 came out. Origins is simply so good it needed to be beaten by a game learning all their tricks and mastering them.

Honestly, I don't think any of them have been close to the original Digimon world. The best parts of that series are in that game and because they developed both Digimon world 1+2 at the same time it feels like they'd already decided to go with more mechanics from 2 (shudders) leaving us with the franchise we have today instead of the city restoring, monster caring for one we could have had. Out of all the games it's mostly the 1st one I see people wanting to play and enjoy

I actually really hate the digimon world playstyle. The games are interesting, but I despise the fact you have to take care of the digimon even tho it’s still gonna die. Even as a kid, once i found out it was basically a pet simulator, i immediately returned the game.

0:17 That's the Ultima 1 or 2 series, created by Lord British (aka Richard Garriot). I used to play Ultima 3 in the 80's, & the dungeon graphics is just as I remembered. Currently, I think PoE 1 & 2 (Pillars of Eternity) are better than BG, Divinity, or DAO.

I love Pit Ball. Such a good competitive game with a ton of fun co-op/vs matches. I don’t like many sports games besides Techno’s World Cup for NES (ha!). I grew up with brothers, so we played a lot of vs/co-op games like this. Super Bomberman was ridiculous for the snes 🔥 Great job on the review! I need to play it again now!

I love the Sloth part of the game because there is a mod to remove it and gives you all the free stats you get from it.

56:08 I just played the game for the first time and what I found out is: There is a toilet IN THE GYM😅 just walk all the way to the left of the gym and there is a door, which leads into a bathroom!

fun fact: in Digimon World 2003 you can use DNA Evolutions mid battle to execute a finisher like attack. try switching from ExVeemon to Stingmon for example ;)

Loved playing DW3, for the card game stuff what i did is hang around the first city and grind till i could buy 4 of the black imperaildramon cards. This also helped me get my renamon leveled up as she has the fastest path to getting imperialdramon palidin mode. Using the cards it allowed me to easily beat most of the earlier card battlers and gain better general cards live devimon. It was a nice change of pace for something to do while trying to figure out where to go also, there is an etemon card tornament in the second server thats really tough. Even with online guides its hard to figure out where to go especially if you haven't played it in a while and were griding your other 2 Digimon to be a decent level

Digimon World 4 is pretty hard with Agumon because his Speed stat is the lowest of the 4 starter digimons. Low speed causes enemies to guard against your attacks more frequently. Guilmon has the highest speed, but personally I would recommend picking Dorumon if you plan to get your first digivolution via the Undead Yard quest, since Dorumon can get Weregarurumon X. Veemon can also get Clavis Angemon. Both digivolutions and starters have fairly high speed.
