I guess everybody here who comments on the INSTANT success with using the REAL DEAL APPLE charger and cord… we must all be twins! It solved my problems too. I learned a lot about this stuff today. I had no idea that a lightening connector has a chip in it… with what looks like 8 or 10 components on a little circuit board. Who knew?! ☺️👍

I swear I’ve been using the normal iPad charging cord and brick and was not turning on or charging but as soon as I watched the video and tried it again it turned on right away😅 thank you for the good luck lol

I was having the same problem tonight where an iPad Pro was not charging with the third party charger. Using the Apple charger fixed that.

Is this for an nv1500 or nv3500?

Same thing happened to me! Bought a couple of really nice third party chargers, but the original (slow) Apple charger is the only thing that keeps it running!?

EXACTLY WHATS HAPPENING WITH MY IPAD! I have a ipad 6th generation but same problem, alright so as you said that ur battery icon was flashing same was with me but now my battery icon isnt even coming up when I press any button, I'll order the factory one now!

It didnt work on me :( tried using the big charger both cable and wall plug are from apple but it is still blinking, they say charge for 2 days and it might work, is it true?

the shift knobs do come off. i figured it was a twist off but it is not. i took a vice grips to it and it came off but it’s really just a pull straight up motion. not really too necessary tho as you showed.

I think Apple must of screwed something up with these updates. Mine was definitely at a decent charge - woke up the next morning - DEAD.

Worked perfectly, thank you. No matter what charger I used the battery symbol constantly blinked. Once I found the original charger and cable. I got the battery symbol solid. And now it’s charging as normal. Thank you so much for this splendid advice.

Guys take this mans advice. I watched this video tonight after my Ipad Pro has been sitting for 6 months unable to power on or charge. Apple wanted $1000.00 to replace the ipad pro. I watched this video and tried an apple 18W factory charger and after 5 minutes my Ipad came back to life!!! Thank you Matt!!!!!!!

OMG you are a life saviour ..... same thing happened to my iPad Pro 2018.... since 2 days it’s just flashing red battery symbol but not charging. I even have the appointment for Apple store. But I tried with the original charger and cable it turned on after 15-20 minutes and it’s charging fine now. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Im glad I stumbled across. this video- I had this same problem... charged it for 2 days straight with "other" charges... but literally 5 mins on the factory charger and It worked! wow lol

Thank you 🙏🏼 so much!!! That happened to me today. So angry. I’ve been looking for answers in the online forums and we are not alone! It seems like there’s been a rash of this issue in the last few weeks. As you did, I replaced my factory-issued cord and adapter with “better” ones, eg expensive 30 W Anker power adapter and a 10’ braided Anker USB A to USB C cord. I don’t have the originals with me so I guess I get to enjoy a very expensive brick for a few days until I go home.

OMG, it WORKED!!!! You have no idea how many chargers and battery packs I tried. I even bought the new Magic Keyboard (spent $300) hoping it would charge through the new USB-C port. I tried everything except the original charger until saw this! Thanks a lot, You're a Lifesaver!!
