Getting my cars ready for summer
In this video, spring has arrived at the farm.
I remove the light bars as they are not needed when 24/7 daylight arrives. This part can be used as guidance for mounting extra lights on the roof of a car.
In the second half, I change from winter to summer tires on the old Mercedes Vito and Renault Kangoo.

In this video I buy a cheap snowblower from Marketplace. But first, I needed to get the old Mercedes Vito running. Except for some small fixes the Stiga Snow Patrol ran like a boss. :) In the end, I brought out the Massey Ferguson 178 to finish the job.

Unusually cold winter weather in northern Sweden

We had a long cold spell in northern Sweden just at the start of 2024. Temp dropped to -41°C at the coldest day on our farm. These days you just want to go into hibernation... In this video we mainly try to keep warm, testing the Mpemba effect (making snow from hot water), and discuss how we heat our house without fire. Disclaimer: Many thermometers were shown. :D

Due to a longer cold spell, video recording came to a pause... However, two un-edited tractor videos from 2022 showed up on my disk. The first one is showing the very first soil cultivation attempt on the farm. The second one is about my anxiety towards snow chains, and how that can be handled. :) Both videos were recorded with my older compact camera.
Driving a rare Swedish snowmobile

The Ockelbo 3502 was one of the last snowmobiles made in Sweden. A rare find nowadays, especially in a good condition. The video covers me bringing it out from the summer rest and driving it around our property. Also cooking some coffee over open fire. Video is recorded with higher quality microphones. For the best sound experience, please use a good sound system or headphones.

The cold start of the MF 178 did not go as planned, but after some battery charging it ran like a boss. I also plowed some snow and tested out my new camera equipment. I recommend to use a good sound system or headphones as I now have a proper microphone setup. :)
Saving a Renault Kangoo from the junkyard (red light stays on)

It seems to be rather common that these Renault Kangoo goes to the junkyard due to electrical issues. I hope this video can help you save yours. Video mainly covers the 1.5 dCi version, but will probably also be a help for other engine alternatives.

Cold starting my Massey Ferguson 65 after sitting for two months, it was around 0 to -5 degree celsius this day. This tractor is a renovation in progress. Most of the mechanics is overhauled at this point. Future jobs include to renovate and paint the cabin, hood and other body parts. The pre-heater was not plugged in due to unknown function. I rewired the electric system while converting to AC...

I was aware of the connector problem, but i watched this video to see how to get to it and hear other possibilities if connector doesnt solve. fortunately seems reseating connector cleared the issue but it has only been one day of driving since applying the fix

I use as M.F 165 on my small stable with same engine as yours,in Winter it starts okay with the heater plug.
Well done with the fix! I have a 2005 version, that saw some abuse, these cars a horrible to work on and there was not much thought put into them when they go wrong, and they are unreliable, but you can fix them if you know what your doing, If you need to change a turbo charger (bearing gone) it an absolute pig of a job. I have a starting problem, but mines related to the high fuel pressure pump has eaten its bearings and metal filings have been distributed throughout the fuel system. Its a complete strip down of the fuel system, I 'am still working on it after 2 years!
You are the man! Is your Kangoo engine code is k9k? I bought one in the weekend but same problem like your one plus some cowboy made a mess in the fuse box,he wasn't a car electrician for sure. Crossed the relay and fuses with a wires so have to put it back to order to get it right and hopefully will start the van. Thanks for the upload you are a lifesaver man!

Hello my problem is to the citroen jumpy 20 hdi does not start. The tester shows fault code 1693, What can be that? All the best
From what I understand, this fault code usually comes with other codes. Do you only get the P1693?
Mycket bra video. För mej själv som kommer från fordonsbranchen så är det ett tydligt tecken när stiftet är misfärgat som det va på din. Brukar betyda att det varit dålig kontakt och gått varmt . Dessa små kontakter tappar lätt spänsten och orsakar lätt denna typ av fel.👍👍👍
Here in Alaska years ago I knew a man here that had a Ockebelo but it was a heavy duty work snow machine. He used to haul fuel, supplies ect to his cabin at Bunko Lake, in the foothills of Denali mountain.
Did Ockelbo ever develop their own IFS?
I don't think so. I'll look it up and discuss it in another snowmobile video. 😊

Citröen seemed very innovative and classy especially with suspension, amazing technology. Heard a story of a French president being driven in one and escaping an assassination attempt with 3 wheels thanks to it.
Interesting, didn't know electrical faults were a big problem with these, thanks! These cars have had a place in my heart from an early age, many were around my area until recently. Once warmed up that enegine sounded great. The Long Track performs well is deepish snow with only moderate throttle modulation. Really enjoyed the video and seeing some snow. Where I am we actually had rain and above zero C and now lots of gravel on the bare roads. Never saw a Winter like this in many decades.
Thank you. 😊 I had forgotten that choke is barely needed when priming properly... We have much more snow now, usually more than a meter in total before spring comes in April.

Ďakujem ☺️ I think you got a better engine. Here in Sweden, it's hard to find these cars nowadays. Many have become "a-traktor" (tractor registered cars) that the 16-17 year olds use instead of mopeds etc. When they are done with them, they look horrendous... 🙈

The ockelbo 250 is the rarest ockelno snowmobile and i dont have a 250 but i have a ockelbo 300-71 that are a really rare 300 model
Thanks for the info. 😊 I think i rode one early 300 when younger but cannot remember for sure. The 250 I have never seen. It's a pity Ockelbo was cancelled. They seemed to be really good at what they were doing.

Yea, I had an Elan too. One cylinder with the long track. Amazing machine to drive in tight forest. Though, it vibrated and sounded like h*ll. 😂😂

That right hand lever confuses me
It is a "parking brake". The left handle is the driving brake. A friend explained that to me just after the video was posted. 😅
