I have heard so many perform this piece but I always come back to this performance of Dame Kiri. Her voice is just immensely powerful w emotion that will grip your soul till the end.

I remember watching this on dvd so many times as a child, only to repeat this number over and over again. To a tiny musical loving girl with 0 English skills, this was everything to me. I had no clue what she was singing, who she was or where the song came from, to me she was a Disney princess, and I really wanted to be like her one day. I’m now 21, I am absolutely never gonna be as talented as she is, but every time I hear this song I get filled up with nostalgia and calmness❤
