I love my country ( Panama), and yes, we have major things to improve, but I had lived in other countries and believe me , there is nowhere else I rather be...now , trash is a big issue yes, but We do have recycling projects in several locations in the city ,( Clayton for example ), and also in Boquete and Volcan (the highlands district) located in Chiriqui, wonderful areas to retire and explore.

    First of all, this is your opinion based on your experience and I respect that. I feel you are missing a few important statements. Nohing you say strikes me as false, but misleading. You are comparing Panama City, the capital, with Tamarindo/Guanacaste…. A mostly rural place that cant cope with the demand for services because of intense recent influx of foreigners.

    I have a villa in region 15 in Tulum. It's easy to ride a bike or scooter to the hotel zone. Despite what people say, all beaches are public and you can access them and walk on the beach as you wish. If you want to stop and use the lounge chairs you need to pay either 1. the beach club price, or 2. pay the min in food and drinks. Is it Vegas? Interesting, I never thought about it like that. I hate Vegas, but love Tulum. I love the vibe here. Yes, things are overpriced in areas and it's a "be seen" type of place, but that also gives it a fun energy that you can also totally avoid if you want to. Cool video.

    it’s becoming really overpriced over the years visited Mexico, and costs of Tulum is definitely rising much faster, how expensive? Can be more expensive than Las Vegas 😢 for 300k or 400k USD you get only apartment? I can still find good single family house in Las Vegas at this price range🎉 And it seems the Quitana Roo is adding a new mandatory tourism tax since 2025, impacting every international flights into Cancún or Tulum, I still visit Mexico but my next trip will look more into west Coast side of Mexico 🎉

    Lived in Mexico almost for three years and Tulum for six months. Tulum is not Vegas nor will it ever be. Tulum is a town not a city. They took away public beaches and left the shitty free one for locals and those who don’t want to pay for parking. The architecture there is pretty but rushed and doesn’t last long and repairs are in constant motion which means more construction on top of what’s already there. Tulum will crash if it doesn’t change. Scams, prices, crooked tow companies and uniformed personnel. Tulum is very cringe with the Tuluminati fashion I full effect. You forgot to mention power outages too. Better off investing in Playa de Carmen.

    • @2ndlife-ql1hc
      @2ndlife-ql1hc 7 дней назад

      Agree & Disagree. Agree with Tulum’s inferior infrastructure for little town population can’t really compare with any major US city, Tulum is ruined much faster by the capital investments, only expensive cost is same to Vegas, but nothing else, good road, water quality is a norm to US cities but a premium in Tulum, all kinds of global top level shows, exhibitions? like CES 2025, that will never appear in Tulum. 😇 but Disagree that Carmen is better. probably is the same similar way in the whole Quintana Roo. since 2025, the Quintana Roo has implemented a new mandatory tourism tax, affecting all international flights every person into Cancun or Tulum, how short sighed. I will still visit Mexico but Probably my next trip would be looking into the west Coast side.

    • @RealNuruMusic
      @RealNuruMusic 7 дней назад

      @ Carmen is better for cost of living and family life. But also social life. People in Tulum come and go mostly. Carmen is more settled and stable in that regard. I understand your point of views tho. Tulum barely gets by for the three months of high season it gets. The rest of year it’s pretty dead. I lived there in both seasons to know. There’s things you have to experience to really understand and not just numbers. People (not all of course) thinks that every foreigner that goes there has money and is cool with the prices, you are seen as a paycheck. People visit Tulum and are in their best clothes and outfits and splurging so it’s really no one else’s fault. You’ll always notice the only people who are pushing for people to come to Tulum are people in real estate or anything to do with economics type shit. Lastly, your money won’t go far with rent there. If you want space remotely close to homes in the US or in Europe you will have to pay. Most of the construction in Tulum are small studios and that’s their biggest mistake in my opinion. If they would stop building studios and build real spacious places for families then more foreigners would stay long term. Anyways, yes go to the pacific side! It’s untouched paradise. I also lived there as well and there are no major hotels and major tourism brands. You can fly into Oaxaca and bus it to the coast or you can fly into Purerto Escondido and bus down the coast. Either or but don’t get caught up in Puerto, it’s touristy and more expensive as well. The real paradise is Mazunte and Zipolite area. Let me know how it goes.

      1. Power outages happen everywhere, the "Town" is new and every new town has it's challenges. 2. I live in Playa Del Carmen and Playa is 10-15 years ahead of Tulum. 3. Not all architecture is rushed. Depends on the developers track record. Some take a long time to build. ( I featured some of these developments on this channel)

      - inferior architecture? If we're comparing to New York yes. But each city has it's own style. KAN for instance was built a certain way to work with the Hurricanes and the surroundings help in storms. So not all is "inferior" - Azulik won many architectural awards. - Tulum 101 has also won a lot - it's coming Exhibitions and things will come. Don't think small minded. - I can tell you as an insider that there is some massive commercial developments coming that are world class. I can't say which ones, but things are coming. Just give it time. - PDC and Tulum are unique in their own ways. Just as Cancun is different. Then the towns in between all have a unique appearance. Unique in their own ways. West is good. Try out Puerto Escondido.

      @@living_in_latam in which most of these beautifully built hotels, resorts, and condos stay mostly empty year round. Only time will tell my friend, but people will never stay where you have to pay to go to a beach and deal with scams from left and right. Tulum is overpriced in every aspect and prices will continue to rise. People come to Mexico to leave their over-inflated countries. Tulum has become the definition of that. In Chiapas, you can build a three story house for $5000-10,000 dollars. How do I know? Because I been in one. I know this country very well. This fancy infrastructure you rave about is cinder blocks, rebar, and some plaster followed by paint, rarely any insulation ever used. It peels, molds, and suffers from humidy in time. None of that is worth the price realtors are selling homes for and you know it. You’re paying for the name and lifestyle? What lifestyle? Partying with foreigners in the hotel zone and still single in your 30s? There not a single home in Tulum worth what it’s going for compared what it cost to build it. Materials are cheaper in Mexico, and the workers get nothing. In the States Mexicans are doing great working construction, while here they sleep on site because they are dirt poor. Man, get out of here. Tulum blew up cuz during Covid it was one of the few countries open. That ship has sailed. Why would someone come back to Tulum, or especially to live here permanently when they can live in Asia, Indonesia, Greece. Where this BS don’t exist? Y’all really want people to come here that bad lol?

      There isn't sargassum right now. There was a couple months ago, but nothing right now. It comes and goes.

      The locals harvest the seaweed and use it as a fertilizer.

      @ oh I didn’t know that. Thank you for letting me know. I’ve seen the excavators and dump trucks. Love that they are re-using it.
