The purpose of this channel is to share and learn about productivity tools like WPS Office, Python and the latest numerical simulation techniques like Compuational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Methods (FEM), Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) and other multiphysics simulation techniques. I will be doing hands on tutorials on differentl levels of numerical simulations used in fluid dynamics and structural mechanics. Similarly i will be posting several WPS Office tips & tricks including Python RUclips videos too. So feel free to let me know about your thoughts on my content. STAR-CCM+ Hands on Tutorial | Poiseuille Flow
This video is about Star-CCM+ hands on tutorial to perform the Poiseuille Flow i.e two dimensional steady laminar flow. This tutorial will guide you how to setup the geometry and extract the fluid volume to perform 2D structured meshing within Star-CCM+. Afterwards, the solver setup and boundary conditions to impose the fully developed flow interface of periodic type. Finally the post-processing including velocity contours, 2d velocity profile and comparison with the analytical solution.

Fix for the errors occurring -> if you add this tool: { "name": "biber", "command": "biber", "args": [ "%DOCFILE%" ] } and this recipe: "latex-workshop.latex.recipes": [ { "name": "pdflatex -> biber -> pdflatex*2", "tools": [ "pdflatex", "biber", "pdflatex", "pdflatex" ] } ] in the settings.json the compiler runs biber at the Main file and recompiles with apropiate citations.

Hello thanks for the video I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out for some advice and guidance regarding a new project I'm tackling during my internship. In the past, I've primarily worked with ANSYS, focusing on external flows, particularly on airfoils. However, my current internship project involves simulating sloshing behavior in oil tanks under various conditions. The catch is that I've been asked to use Simcenter STAR-CCM+ for this task, which is new to me. I've done a bit of research and learned about the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method, but I was initially instructed to work with the Finite Volume Method (FVM). I have a few questions and concerns about transitioning to STAR-CCM+ and understanding how to simulate sloshing effectively. Are there any tutorials or resources available for learning sloshing simulations in STAR-CCM+? Also, since I don't have access to a license yet, are there any alternative ways to familiarize myself with the software?
I have encountered a problem (This may not be a problem, just a misinterpretation), when I fixed a value for AR, the lift and drag graphs plots the same curve even for diferent free stream speeds. This behavior is expected or not? Obs.: All airfoil profiles is SELIG 1223. Wings dimensions: 1 - S = 1,56 m², AR = 4, Span = 2,5 m, Chord = 0.625 m 2 - S = 0.511 m², AR = 4, Span = 1,43m, Chord = 0.357 m

I would like to pay you to run some analysis on adding some long range fuel tanks to my PA28-181- is this possible? If so I will give you my email address as long s you can delete it fairly quickly! The analysis would be to prove the wing can deal with the extra loading. I would add the fuel outboard of the main tanks like the Piper PA28-236 - this model has stronger brackets at the wind root. However I would have an overall lighter aircraft and I would always fly within weight and balance (ie when taking long range fuel I would not take passengers)

I've got to 28:20 in the video, but when trying to select a function to view in the scalar scene, the field functions don't show up, rather the options are "area" and ends at position; the typical field functions do not show up in this window so I am unable to select pressure coefficient. Well you can also take cylinder instead of Cone.
