We go down to Florida to see what's so special about The Blue Heron Bridge.
Nice, video! I thinking that might be next video for my channel.
I just got my open water dive card and am ready to take a trip to Bonaire. How deep are the dives?
I'm actually heading to Bonaire tomorrow coincidentally. They definitely have something for everyone dives are anywhere from 25ft - 100+ft. Plenty of everything.
I was there Aug 3rd and 4th 2024 for my PADI AOW Certification Class 🤿🤿
Thanks this was the exact video that I was looking for as I live in Bethlehem and are planning to do scuba lessons and hopefully get my open water certification there as I’ve only been on recreational dives in Dominican Republic I fell in love with the sport and I can’t wait to be part of the diving community. I had no idea all of that was underneath and I went there when it was still Dutch Springs the waterpark fantastic place.
good video .
Magnificent dive. Sooner or later you’ll see the top dog snoopy. Stay safe and dive briefings are a good thing. Enjoy. Safe travels. The shark was there last summer dragging about 150 feet of heavy line. It has shortened. A lot.
The SG is one big ass wreck. I’ve dove it twice, and haven’t come close to seeing half of it.
What, no white sands? That is one of the most beautiful sites on the island.
Great video and clarity of SG. One of the best dives in the Keys, we have been there a few times with Rainbow Reef guides. The shallow water dives in the Keys don’t compare to this dive anymore
This is my favorite place on our planet. I want to live here so bad so every day I can clean every bit of trash 🕊️
Very nice footage of the shark! Going in August to hit this dive!
I gotta go back, this video is from august 2023. It's such a cool dive, definitely not even close to seeing it all yet.
I was there when it sank...dove it that day...Great recreational dive...you can see so much on the outside!
That sounds epic!
Very very well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Phenomenal visuals of one of my favorite dive sites. 😍💦
What month did you dive in this area this is one of my bucket list and I need to know when to go
Thanks for your fun video. I was wondering - you mentioned you got there "early." So, can parking be a problem if you don't do that? And how far are you carrying all your dive gear from your parked car to where you enter the water? Lastly, did you plan your dive to reach the surface near where you parked/entered? My son and I were looking at going around 4pm this May 18th (a Saturday) with a guide from Jacksonville. But I'm concerned about a long carry of equipment. I'm an older guy. Any thoughts appreciated.
We usually show up at least an hour before slack tide(whatever time that is)...then we can take our time getting ready. Sometimes the parking area gets pretty full, but theres always parking, it just may be further from the beach area, but it's only like a 50 yard walk if you have to park in the back. When I did this particular video there was construction so we had to walk up and over the bridge, instead of underneath straight to the beach. You'll be fine...the parking lot is right up against the beach and you just walk under the bridge. The beach is pretty small, so as long as you make your way back to the beach area, you'll have a short walk back to your car after the dive! Enjoy!
@@InDepthAdventures Thanks very much.
Fun place to snorkel. One thing that cought my attention is the amount of people with diving flags. Even people snorkeling 😅. I fully support having good practices but there is literally no reason to use them within the marked area.
I did this one! Yay.
❤
Awesome. That ione will definitely be on my list of dives to do. Thanks for sharing.
Man that is great viz....lol. The lakes here in South Carolina are like chocolate milk.
Awesome video. Great viz in the Caribean.
One of my bucket list dives. Can't wait to do it.
I never go to Florida without swimming with sharks with SaltyDivers in Jupiter Fla.
Probably the best diving in the world. I was really impressed . Preferred the dive sites around Salt Pier. I was pleasantly surprised at Salt Pier. I'd give Roatan and the Red Sea close seconds.
I really liked your video, well edited and commented
Got robbed of this stop in two weeks
Beautiful!! I want to go!!!
@JenniferAnnWilson thanks for watching!
I agree with Morgan about the hat. Great to see Elkhorn coral. Not much of it around.
Bonaire is an awesome destination for diving. Awesome footage
awesome video! fantastic narration! I hope this channel takes off! After getting my scuba certification in freezing Lake Tahoe, needing 7mm wetsuits and gear (some had drysuits), I look forward to an amazing tropical dive. Thanks for sharing!!
29 dives! Awesome footage!
Yes there's always a little bit of current. East Bridge is nice. West Bridge and red wall also have alot of life and coral formations. Lots of eels on the west side as well.
awesome! We will have to check out the west bridge next time we are down there.
@@InDepthAdventures let me know. I'm always there doing guided tours for people.
I got hooked on Bonaire. Went for the first time in July of '22 and have now gone 5 times in 16 months basically every 4 months, July, November, March, July, and November again and made 172 dives there-so far! I can't wait to go back. Made my 200th, 300th, and 400th dive there. I am going to try to time it to make my 500th and 600th dive there this year. I have lots of raw video clips on my channel from the trips.
I have an incredible video of a sharp tail eel back into a hole. It is hysterical.
Again, apologies as I tend to comment as I watch. The past couple of years I started to renting a house in Key West for the months of May and October ( I like to joke that I live there...2 months out of the year) and last year it was startling to see the coral bleaching that took place between May and October. There is a dive site called Haystacks as they have big coral heads that, you guessed it, are in the shape of haystacks and they are at least 12-15 tall and they were basically good in May but by October, the entire coral head was just white. I saw a similar thing in Bonaire. I went in July and just under 4 months later in November, it was unrecognizable. One dive buddy put it best when he described it as 'looking like snow'. I have a short video of it on my channel.
Yeah when we went down the water was TOO warm. The coral was bleaching...we went to Bonaire about a month ago and they were dealing with bleaching AND the coral tissue loss disease. It's sad to see, they did say the coral would recover from the bleaching, but even so, it's still unfortunate to see.
Sorry, one more comment. I read about a diver who said he has dove the Grove more than 1200 times and every time, he sees something new.
I have to dive the Grove sometime for reasons beyond why most people dive it. A buddy of mine, who I have known since kindergarten, spent 3 years of his life on the Grove when he went into the Navy in '81. He traveled the world on that ship. And, because I still have a big stack of letters he sent me during those years and they are on Spiegel Grove stationery with sort of watermark images of the ship on the envelopes and paper. I've always joked that I should triple laminate an envelope, punch a hole in it, dive the ship and clip it somewhere to the superstructure. One buddy then quipped that I will end up get fined for littering. Who knows.
That is really awesome....you absolutely need to dive the spiegel! I thought it was cool, but I think since you know a lot more of the history you would find it even more awesome. I should have done a little more research before going down.
Manatees come inland to the rivers and springs in the winter with January being the most likely month to see them (I think). I'm a FL native not living there anymore.
Like if you want the Bonaire video to drop 😉
One of my fave dive sites! Have seen a manatee, lemon sharks, rays, seahorses and an octopus! HIGHLY recommend the night dives there, amazing!!
This was my first time diving at the bridge and I loved it! Night diving here sounds amazing! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
I only got to make one dive there last January and hope to do many more. I didn't get to see as much cool stuff as you did. You pretty much named many things that are on my 'target' list of species that I hope to see diving. Can't wait to get back down there. Cheers
@@InDepthAdventures is there a chance a sharks 🦈 will show up at this site
@@antoinepowell649 Yeah they get sharks sometimes, check the Blue Heron Bridge Dive Club Facebook page they update it I think every day. They posted a shark about a week ago!
