Laws Spring
Sun, Oct 20, 2024, the last of the Railside Riders in Williams, rode to Laws Spring. Laws Springs was named after Major W.L. Laws by Lieutenant Edward Beale's in1857. This was a stop for the Beale Camel Train between Fort Defiance and the Colorado River. The spring has petroglyphs on the rocks around the spring. The ride through the Kaibab National Forest has great views! One can see the San Franscico Peaks and Government Mt. Great ride from Railside RV Ranch in Williams to Laws Spring. Only 20 miles from Railside to Laws Spring. Great ride with great friends! Happy Trails!

I was out that way this morning on a run: Coming in off 64, Spring Valley/FR 141 to FR 730. I was scouting it out for a future run, and wanted to see if our compact AWD SUV can get to the trail-head. I turned back at the junction of FR 714 and 708. Do you think a car like ours can get to the trail-head?

@@CarynStimac well let me tell you a story i was off-roading on blm land a little was away from his bar when it was closed and the owner comes ripping down the road yelling THE BAR IS CLOSED and i yelled back SO WHAT YOU DON'T OWN ALL THIS LAND he says yes i do i said nope and kept going where i was going he yells I'M CALLING THE COPS i laughed and kept going, happy now? you know why.
