I did three shaves with this razor. The positives are that (1) it does shave well, and (2) Although not "aggressive", also definitely not mild. This razor does have some negatives, and I will avoid saying those here.

This interesting because how the razor heads appear and the comments on agression level for your first pass. I give a ranking of aggression level about like the comments you gave there. I do not have the Heritage razor; but instead I have EJ-DE razor with the DE-8 head which appears similar to the head of the Heritage razor.

@rickshaves6913 Did you know that I went to my Local Supermarket 🛒 @ Lowes And it Cost me $2 and 58 Cents For 5 Disposable Razors with the Gillette Atra Like Razor Heads And I Took off The Refill Heads and used it on My Red Gillette Vector Plus Handle 😊

I use those it the dorco brand I get a great shave with them no problem I use them more than twice I get 3 or 4 shaves out of them

Do-It-Yourself arrangement for taking a brush is, choose a synthetic bristle brush, put into the cardboard toilet paper support roll, and surround brush with paper towels to help pull off residing moisture; maybe rubber bands to halt movement of the brush from either the holes of the roll. Other option is modify a pill bottle (the cylindrical kind) and also include either t.p. support roll and paper towels.

Just had my first shave today with my new Facon and really enjoyed it. I used a Shark blade and will try a perma-sharp next.

I Have a Gillette Trac 2 They Still Sell The Refills At Wal-Mart But it Cost $25 And Some Cents i Also Have a Gillette Vector But Mine is A Red Handle plus i Buy The 2 Bladed Disposable Razors They Have the Gillette Atra Refill Heads But it's not a Gillette Disposable it's a Cheaper Disposable Razors For $1 For a 12 Pack So i Take Off the Refill Heads Off Of Those And Reuse Them for My Gillette Vector Red Handle 😊😊

Hi, in Ecuador (especially in the coastal area) many people buy these cheap Bic razors the days before Valentine's Day to shave their intimate areas. I once tried to shave that areas with this but for me a DE works better, specially with a Dorco ST-300 blade on its 3rd or 4th use. For facial shaving, I prefer the Bic Comfort Twin as it glides better over the skin due to the aloe vera lubricating strip. At a local supermarket, a pack of Bic Sensitive costs $1.05. Some packs come with 7 razors with the text "Buy 5, get 7"; while others contain 5 razors but come with a free BIC Acqua 3 (triple blade) or a Bic Flex 2 (twin blade), which I really like and does its job very good.

Thank you for this video! I spent hours last night trying to get the cover back on after putting the razor in . I was trying to slide it on but you clipped it on ! I was ready to trash it!

This stuff works great and it won't gunk up your blades like the other brands. Blade easily rinses clean by running under water.

We get these in the UK. A 5 pack for 59p (~$0.90). I've not tried them yet, but I keep hearing good things, so I'll give them a try next time I see them.

I just bought this and tried this thing with Dorco primes which are really freaking sharp . I ended up switching over back to my gilitte DE shavette because I didn't want to wreck my face lol I cut my chin just like you did... But I will say... The irritation was minimal compared to the DE razor I have

Good beginner job. Nothing terrible at all. Takes a while to learn. Give it about 15 weeks. PAA or stirling soap is a good start with the soap.

These are actually solid I dry them and run them reversed direction on the towel it sharpens them and you can easily get 3 to 5 shaves each can't complain for the price and performance.

Not too bad, Rick ! Im learning, too. Here's what I learned - short strokes / stretch skin whenever you can, either with your fingers or with face "gymnastics" / go slow / be mindful of angle, pressure, and razor orientation to skin (at all times !) Always be vigilant ! Going across the chin not practical . Don't go over the same spot too many times without relathering (twice is nice).

Twin blade razors are an improvement over double edgs. Can shave faster and less risk of nicks

I shaved all my life with these. They are absolutely terrible. Switched to safety razors almost 2 years ago, and loving it.

safety razors are garbage!!! DE razors simply don't work for me! In my experience they are much much inferior than any cartridge razor. I only have a very close, smooth and comfortable shave with a cartridge or disposable razor, DEs don't even come close of that! And i have much more joy too when shaving with cartridges or disposables

Thanks for the heads up on the Vector cartridge, I just bought one of those handles and will skip the one that came with it and just use the actual Atra cartridges I have. I also have great memories of shaving with Sensor during my teens and 20's, maybe one day I'll pick up one of those again.

Gillette Trac II razors little difficult to find. I buy bulk of 7 O çlock PII cartridges and gillette presto when i go to india. Its very difficult to find PII in USA. cannot change to any other product, as you said it is quick and easy for daily clean shave.

I lived with those or anything on sale and in a bag for 20years and I never found a bad one I also still love barbasol. Wish I could find the AS splash.

This is the best we have, here in Brazil I buy 5 take 7. I shave my head and beard every day, each one lasts 1 week with me. Total of 7 weeks using this wonderful bic.

I use a double edge safety razor and a shavette. I can't remember the last time I cut myself. This type of shaving is true masculinity.

These razors are outstanding for the price. They're manufactured by dorco but sold under barbasol name. You take way too many pases shaving. I'd guess thats the reason for your irritation. Plus it looks like you're digging not shaving. Your technique is wrong

Rick, I find my Rapira to shave significantly closer than my Merkur 23C, even when I use a Feather blade in the Merkur. The Rapira is an outstanding value !

Never liked bic , it left my skin really spotty

These are actually made by Dorco - a Korean company that makes Dollar Shave Club razors. I can get a couple of shaves out of these "Assured" razors but I've found that hard tapping them on the short edge against the side of the sink clears them out well. I've always liked Trac II style fixed-head razors and these are surprisingly good. Cheers to Texas from Markham, Ontario.

I have shaved with every 4,5,and 6 blade razor out there but I always go back to this single blade bic ❤

I prefer to use the vintage Atra handles. The aluminum handles have such a nice weight and grip to them. The current Vector handle works just fine as well, it what I use when I travel. The Sensor and Sensor Excel work great but i just like the way the Atra shaves. It has such good feedback and its just aggressive enough to get a two pass shave done easily. The Sensor definitely shaves smoother but the feedback isnt as good and for me its not as aggressive as the Atra.

This was my least favorite I don’t think I’m a menthol person . I found it to drying. But loved barbershop

I bought a package of Bic razors from Walmart in Las Cruces NM on Valley Blvd. today. First one out of package dull as a butter knife. I bough way cheaper and sharper razors (Not Bic) from Dollar Tree.

do you think they would perform the same with the same cartridges in both? or does the pivoting help
