Are you talking about in the secret spot in the Library. My theory, that's probably in one of my videos, is that the remaining technology reverted to a prior state. It's complicated and when I get back into TotK theorizing, I'll touch on it.

@@novustalks7525 have you tried climbing on the rock there in TotK? Despite its texture being changed to look like rock, it still has the "no climb" tag attached to it.

That's not the case, WW Link is just a boy. The purpose of the story is to show that a normal person can full the role of a hero, and doesn't need to be bound by destiny. Granted, they jump through the hoops to make him fill that role, but he is not the reincarnation of the Hero if Time. The Hero of Time and his reincarnation cycle was broken by Zelda at the end of a Ocarina. The prologue for the game makes this very clear. The Hero of Time (or a new hero) failed to appear leading to calamity.

A lot of people seem to praise it as the source of the series, but... it really isn't. It's based on the political affairs of that time, and how one family managed to hang onto power for 9 generations claiming divine provenance. Anyhow, I'm doing a upcoming video speaking about this legend and discoveries in TotK. Stay tuned.

The base story isn't very long either, it's only a few pages long. This is the part that relates to the use of the symbol by the Hojo Clan, which would ultimately be adopted into the Triforce symbol.

@@PixelFusionProductions An elegant solution! Not to be contrary, but I think they are typically harvested in roughly the same season here on Earth though... Personally, my theory is the tomatoes exist in BotW, but because the Hyruleans aren't cooking them they simply don't get represented mechanically in the game. In TotK they are described as "kind of trendy lately", which I take to mean they only recently started cooking with them. Admittedly I can't account for the missing durians this way :<

I did too, but she was perfectly willing to going along with dooming another realm. That crosses a line.

@@PixelFusionProductions I say she's walking on the thinnest line because what other choice did she really have? She couldn't just go and ask for a new one. But she did still agree to doom another Realm.

My tactic when fighting him is to shoot a hoverstone in the air. Then ascend through it, pull my bow to get bullet time, and lob gibdo bones in his forehead. Rinse and Repeat. He won't do his flurry rush off ranged attacks.

It's a really good question for him to ask. His follow-up though, is concerning. He basically asks them to have the non-waivering commitment to him. I feel I painted Rufus in the best light in this episode, and yet he seems still irredeemable. Maybe the next game will surprise me.

Sorry Lorule, check the journal at Lookout Landing on the main table. It explicitly states the islands became visible on the day the castle rose into the sky. Whatever was hiding the islands from view broken when Ganondorf shoved the pillar up. I believe he inadvertently (or maybe deliberately) disrupted the entire power network to the Zonai grid, and the sky cloak dropped. That being said, even during the tutorial of the game before Zelda comes up through the clouds, you can see the surface.

Couple this with the fact that we do not see any sign of sky islands while we see the relics falling down, and the Light Dragon's actions appear to ripple and billow the sky to reveal the surface in its entirety, I believe Purah's journal is talking about this moment.

@@theloruleanhistorian I did not get a notification of your response, this is why Discord is better for conversation. The entries indicate that the events happened at the same time, that the sky islands appeared when the castle rose into the sky. As such, it wasn't the Light Dragon who revealed the islands to the surface at the end of the tutorial. She did not "disperse the cloud barrier", at least not one shown in Skyward Sword.

@PixelFusionProductions see, I still must disagree. I see this notebook as a collection of thoughts on the phenomena that Purah has observed. Every page isn't a separate entry; merely details on the observations made after the events that occurred, and up to the moment before Link arrived back at Lookout Landing.

If according to you, Rufus is vital to his defeat, wouldn't it make more sense to kill the guy who has the means of taking down his barrier? I think that if Rufus had not moved the canon, our heroes would have found another way into the northern crater. They are a resourceful bunch.

Yeah, I think there is enough here for it. Unfortunately, in Japanese media, there is much that cannot be overt, and so subtle implications have to be used.

It is the design of the sword from Skyward Sword. If you are claiming it's design is different, I will need some evidence.

I might have agreed with you before totk came out. I thought BotW was a splinter from SS that led to an alternate set of events that could... sort of... account for the changes in the settings. However, considering TotK did very little to try and connect with past games, and worst, walked back BotW references by flushing them out with new Lore, I have to conclude it's a reboot. A "reimagining" of the series through a new lens. I know it isn't a popular opinion, but it clearly doesn't follow any single timeline... and the idea of convergence is nonsense.

I think central part was meant to be an elevator. So from the throneroom, they could lower themselves into it. Also, don't forget they had teleportation.

She does have the blood of a goddesses, but that doesn't mean it is the blood Hylia. It could be exactly what they tell us in the opening of the game, she carries the blood of gods... as a result of the union from them and her ancestors.. the Zonai.

It's a shame that some of the sky islands we see in the trailers seem to have been cut for the final game, most notably the islands above the Thundra Plateau, aswell as the developers outright stating they must've had way more skyislands but cut a good chunk of them cause it allegedly felt too messy at some point.

@@avon_c6199 There is a lot that seems to have been cut. I also feel a lot of the base developmental ideas of it were rooted in the past games, but they pulled away from that. In an interview, they talked about considering putting Skyloft in the sky. What a total shame they pulled back on us.

I was totally expecting some remnants of Skyloft, or some ruins that vaguely looked like it, to be found somewhere in the sky, especially with all the familiar landmark names already present around the land, or places like LonLonRanch ruins, or the huuuuge goddess statue in the Forgotten Temple. They either cut a good chunk of the sky islands cause it was impacting performance at some point, or they really didn't see the value in it, unlike us players who are now obviously drooling over the fact that we may never see all these lush islands that they previously advertised in trailers. What a missed opportunity by Nintendo....and even more sad considering we won't be getting DLC, which imo could've been the perfect opportunity for them to expand on story-related content and adress some of the post-release criticism I now see across so many hourlong essays from not just the prominent Zelda RUclipsrs, but across various forums aswell. Some might readily shove general criticism about TotK into the vocal minority drawer, but with the amount of it coming from various platforms across the net, no no no, that ain't a vocal minority. xD

Oh believe me, I share your concerns. I like seeing bad people grown and become less bad people. It's why I like Cid! I'm afraid that ratings will make it difficult to portray him nearly as bad as he used to be... similar to how I knew they would be allowed to show a certain flower girl skewered on a sword.

@@PixelFusionProductions right I at least hope they make a tea joke or reference even if it’s subtle. Also totally agree I thought I missed something when I got to that scene in rebirth. Even replayed that chapter because was playing it with my 6 year old nephew and thought he distracted me. 😂😂

They can do better than a joke or reference. I want a full tea serving mini-game complete with Cid flipping the table if you do bad enough.

I think, in a best case scenario, this is a remaining. I'm not happy with it, but it is what it is.

I actually didn't. President Shinra is a major villain though, not one of our heroes. I'm surprised nobody else has brought this up though...

Smoking is not a sign of good or bad person it's just a cigar... Every RDR2 character was smoking, which doesn't make them bad.

@@alirelax8761 Dude, Red Dead Redemption 2 was rated M. www.esrb.org/ratings/35888/red-dead-redemption-2/ In Japan, it got a Cero Z rating. i.ebayimg.com/images/g/RagAAOSwrLNgMWij/s-l1200.jpg FF7 Rebirth is Cero C and closer to a T rating. Furthermore, the settings are drastically different. I stated in my video that ultimately I think Cid isn't allowed to smoke because of the Cero C rating. In more adult games, drug use is generally more accepted by the protagonist. It's not explicitly a judgment call on part of the person, but in general, bad guys are allowed to smoke because they are bad guys.

They can't tease us with a sunken city then not follow through, right? It will be cool.
