Broxton Bridge Dual Sport 2025
Просмотров 49114 дней назад
This was my first time at the Rooster Run Broxton Bridge dual sport event. It was definitely a lot of fun but a struggle with all the rain and mud. I just got the xt250 up and running so I decided to take that. Overall it was a great event and will definitely have to go back next year with the DRZ. #dirtbike #dualsportadv #dualsportadventure #dualsport #yamaha #xt250

Part two takes us around the lake to ride horse pasture road and some other places in that area. We found a nice offshoot down to a peninsula in the lake which was a great spot to mess around and take a break. Ended the day with a trip to the tap room before heading back to breakdown camp. Jocassee Gorges 2024 Part One

The annual Jocassee Gorges trip was another great one! Great group of guys, good mix of bikes, and as always great riding. It was a cold one but having the truck camper setup made it a bit easier to deal with the cold at night. The alpinestars suit, grip mitts, and heated grips made riding comfortable in the 46 degree weather we had on day one. #dualsportrider #dualsportadventure #dualsportmoto...
Carpuride Install and First Impressions

Installed the carpuride 502 screen and took the bike out for a quick test ride to check it out. Super easy install and I love that I have my navigation right out in front of me and my phone off my handlebars. So far I really like it. We'll see how it holds up over time. #dualsportadventure #dualsportbike #dualsportrider #suzuki #drz400s #carpuride
DRZ400s Coolant Exchange
Просмотров 2892 месяца назад
Well it's exactly what it sounds like. The DRZ hit 10k miles on it so I took a look at the service manual to see what needed to be done. Realized I had missed the coolant exchange at 7500 miles so I decided to knock it out. #dualsportadventure #dualsportadv #dualsportmotorcycle #suzuki #drz400s
Sena Install/ Motovlogging Setup
Просмотров 1342 месяца назад
I recently bought the new Scorpion Exo XT9000 helmet and needed to set it up. I installed a Sena 10s unit for bluetooth connectivity. I also added the face plate for my gopro mount and a purple panda microphone so you can hear me while I'm riding. Last but not least I installed the pinlock on the face shield to avoid any fogging in cold or wet weather. #dualsportadventure #dualsportadv #dualspo...

The 800 DE is absolutely on my radar!!
@@Motoramblings I’ve only ridden on the road so far but I love it. It’s a super user friendly bike. Taking it out on the dirt tomorrow so we’ll see how it does. So far I absolutely love it though.
@ I look forward to seeing how it performs off pavement!
nice....i live mine.....first thing i think you should do to it is suspension....since thats the only thing i hate about mine. lol
@@anadventureoutdoors so far I did crash bars, skid plate, tires, and waiting on my barkbusters. I’m going to ride it some off-road and see about the suspension. I’m only 160 pounds, so far it seems fine for my weight
@@roadslesstraveled23 oh yeah that may be ok then but dont forget they are fully adjustable. there an adjustment on the top of the shock and the bottom of the shock
@@anadventureoutdoors I’m taking it for it’s for real ride in the dirt today and I’ll see how she does!
Whens the next big ride? Come up to Jessies in NC and we'll rip!!!
@@tylerlabelle1749 you tell me and I’ll be there!
The 800DE is a very nice bike. I looked at one quite a bit a few weeks ago. I have a deposit on the DR-Z4S, but I'm not holding my breath that they will show up till summer.
The vstrom is awesome so far and I love my DRZ400s. Definitely curious how the new 4s is, you'll have to let me know!
Can I ask what sort of mic you are using? Nice bike man, congrats! I did 35 miles of desert trails yesterday on my T7.. my calf’s are so sore LOL
I can imagine. I saw some guys on t7's at the dual sport event I was at a few weeks back. It's all single track, they must have been quite sore. I use the purple panda microphone. You can get them on Amazon. I have it taped to the inside of my helmet and it plugs right into the go pro with the case I have on it.
@ ok cool that’s what I have in my cart, I ordered a real cheap one and it popped so bad. Thank you! 😊
@@The_MotoRebel no problem!
Bad to the bone!
cool video
Great bike. Where in SC are ya?
@@benadams1826 thanks. I’m in Charleston
@@roadslesstraveled23 Cool. I'm sure there is some fun riding down there.
@ decent riding in the upstate, Charleston is just a lot of flat sandy tracks. Still fun though!
@@roadslesstraveled23 Oh yea, flat and sandy I'm sure but a different look to nature than we have here. A lot of stuff got damaged or destroyed from the storm back in the fall, went out today towards the mountains and still got some roads closed!
was a good time ...looking forward to next year ...
@@JohnBracher-e4n Yes it was! Taking my Drz400 next year!
I was also at this event. It was a fun time but the rain and cold on the roads was brutal. We did speak while riding. I am the bigger guy on the Ktm 500 right before your battery died. You’re the man riding on those tires. lol. Great video.
Haha yea that was me! The dumbass on the XT with bald road tires!
Where did you ground the power circuit for the aux switch and USB?
@@479_adv I put the ground on the triple clamp on the bolt that holds the front brake guide.
@roadslesstraveled23 thanks man I appreciate the help
@ no problem!
Did you swap the stock speakers?
What wind screen is that and how is it mounted
@@jasongardner1910 it’s the Bajaworx rally screen. Mounts to the front cowling. You have to drill 4 holes and it just bolts on.
Great video! Moved to SC about six months ago and looking forward to taking my scrambler off-road.
@@johnny8410 Thanks! Definitely hit up the S.C.A.R.
Is there a gox for these routes?
@@BrettMcCoy what’s your email address? I can send you the gpx for both days
I probably should change the coolant on my 2002 DRZ. Last time it was changed was 2012 when I had the cam chain replaced. Always good to find another DRZ channel to subscribe to.
Great video but you should look into getting a faster microsd card, or see if your gopro is forced lowering bitrate/rendering at a low bitrate, your video is coming through super compressed and doesnt look as good as it could!
@@SecondSunofficial I’ll look into it. Appreciate the advice!
I watched part 1 and 2. Looks like y’all had some fun out there!!! I have been in some parts of what you rode, absolutely beautiful area!
@@Motoramblings it’s great area to ride! We go every year, the first weekend in December.
@ Very cool indeed!!
How are the hippo hands on the DRZ? Been thinking of getting a set for my DRZ and FJ09
@@busterfrith8898 mine are OBR gear version and they work pretty well at keeping wind and rain off your hands. I think I might upgrade to the hippo hands, they seem a bit better made and more insulated.
@@roadslesstraveled23 Hadn't heard of the OBR ones before, I see what you mean in the difference material wise.
@ they work well but I definitely think the hippo hands would be better. I’ve had the obr gear ones for years now and paired with heated grips, I have not complaints.
Those are some great roads. , I recognized most of them , I hope to get back out soon to ride , my bikes been down four months with a broken transmission but I got it back from the dealership last Saturday so I see a ride in that area in my near future , great video !
@@Dark_corner_Drz thanks! Glad you got your bike back. Definitely a great area to ride. Part two will be out next week!

Slick setup! Hows the glare and visibility during different lighting conditions?
@@brian11889 just got back from a two day trip. Great visibility and didn’t move at all in the rough terrain!
Great video , I like that setup, it’s sure nice having it mounted in the center , it took me a while to figure out how to get my Zumo in the center since I’m running the stock cluster but once I figured it out I was glad I did
@ Thanks! So much better than the phone mounted on the handle bars
I just picked up a 2002 DRZ400s for a light ADV bike. I will keep my T7 for longer distance riding but I'm planning to trailer my DRZ to the start of any BDR I do out west in 2025.
@@479_adv Nice, you’ll love it!
Hello there fellow arkie, safe travels out there
@@Sclopiopipio Hello!! NW Arkansas here!
Hey brother, thanks for the video. Just a quick question about your rad guards. What make/brand are they. 🍻
@@Jukithesuzuki they are the Devol radiator guards. You can get them off rockymtatvmc.com
2:20 I can see the brand name: Devol Racing. US based company out of Enumclaw, WA. They've been around forever. I have their skid plate on my 2002 DRZ.
Good video. Glad i'm not the only one who always misjudges that where to put the drain pan. I think i missed it on both my DRZ and Africa Twin. New subscriber.
Living in summerville with a 690 enduro, where can I find upcoming rides to potentially tag along with?
@@aaronthompson5444 the events are usually posted on some the social media pages. Check out the South Carolina Adventure Route page. There are some other local dual sport riding pages on Facebook.
I appreciate the response sir, however, I don't have any socials. Thanks for responding though
@ all good. I’m in Summerville as well. Email me and we can swap numbers to meet up and ride. Jkorn23@gmail.com
i have the same suit.. the thermals make a huge difference for me in cold weather. a bit snug, but it seems to stretch and you get used to how it feels. But I love the suit. I also wear thermal base layers and my commute to work is 40 mins of highway. my hands get the coldest, I do not have heated grips yet.
PRO TIP from a long time DRZ owner.... throw the K&N Filter in the garbage. They are no good for a motorcycle that sees a lot of riding in the dirt. Go back to a foam filter. I run Twin Air, Tusk or No Toil filters. A K&N will allow dirt to pass through it. What's the contraption on the left side of the bike, forward of the engine? It looks to have a vacuum line on it.
@@DualSportDoug I always thought K&N was the way to go but a lot of people are telling me otherwise. I’m going to switch it out for a good foam one. Apparently that thing is for emissions. From what I looked up it’s called the pair valve or pair system. It lets fresh air in to burn off any excess gas.
@ My DRZ doesn’t have that. I’ve never seen that in other DRZs. Take a K&N filter out of the box at a store and hold it up to the light. You can probably see through the filter media. Every time I’ve done this “light test”, I could see through the filter.
Typo in your description.. "wether" should be "weather".
@@deltabravo1257 thanks, was typing quickly and missed the a!It’s fixed now.
I've been debating between going to a larger tank or using the 1 gallon tail mounted tank. Have you ever used the larger aftermarket tanks?
@@smallish_mk3733 I haven’t. I keep going back and forth on it as well. I like the rotopax but I’m thinking it might be nice to not have to worry about it and just have the larger tank.
@roadslesstraveled23 I wish I could ride one with a larger tank before spending the money. Being 5"6 and 150lbs, it's already a "big" top heavy bike for me, so I don't want to. Add to that problem for every day riding.
@@smallish_mk3733 I get that. I’m 5’9” and 160 and it’s still tall for me
@@smallish_mk3733 I've been running an IMS 3.2 gallon tank since 2006. I wouldn't be without it, but it makes the bike heavier when the tank is full. I'm 5'9" and about 155.
Looks like an awesome time. I hope Dana puts this on repeat!
