Broads Fork Twin Peaks via Robinson Variation | Wasatch Peak Bagging | Best Hikes in Utah
When I started out this hike, I had intended to complete the Triple Traverse which includes summiting Broads Fork Twin Peaks, Sunrise Peak (O'Sullivan Peak), and Dromedary Peak. I ended up tiring out a little quicker than expected, so I cut the day short by just completing Twin Peaks via the Robison Variation. The route I took had a couple of sub-peaks that I topped out on along the ridge to Twin Peaks. Overall the hike was amazing with beautiful forest and wild flowers down lower, and a lot of fun scrambling up higher. The view from the top were incredible! You can see many of the major peaks in the Wasatch as well as good views of the valley below.

Rock Crawling in Moab UT, Part 2 of 2 | Poison Spider Mesa

This off-roading trail in Moab was awesome! Moab, Utah is an iconic off-roading destination that's famous for its challenging terrain, thrilling rock formations, and breathtaking views. I was amazed at the obstacles that we were able to get up and over. The slick-rock sandstone here is super grippy and makes it possible to drive up (and down) extremely steep trails. I took a trip to Moab, Utah for some rock crawling and took a stock Toyota 4Runner up Hell's Gate! Hell's Gate is an obstacle on the Hell's Revenge trail, which is famous for its challenging terrain and amazing rock formations. I was amazed at the obstacles that we were able to get up and over in this vehicle. The slick-rock sandstone here is super grippy and makes it possible to drive up (and ...

Snowboarding Suicide Chute in June | Wasatch Backcountry Skiing
Просмотров 1 тыс.28 дней назад
This was my first time snowboarding during summer and it was a blast! I had spent a decent amount of time this winter looking at Suicide Chute (a steep couloir off of Mount Superior), but hadn't gotten the chance to actually splitboard it yet. Since the snow everywhere besides the couloir was melted, the short scramble up the South Ridge of Superior ended up being a quick and fun option to get ...
Hiking Storm Mountain via Ferguson Canyon | Wasatch Peak Bagging | Best Hikes in Utah

Storm Mountain is fun peak that can be reached via Ferguson Canyon. The lower section of trail passes by several small beautiful cascading waterfalls. I thought the middle section of the hike was just ok. The scramble to reach the summit, however, was a blast! I even got to see a mountain goat (it moved out of sight before I could get a picture)! ⛰🐐 Elevation Gain: 4,278 ft Round Trip Distance:...
Hiking Mount Olympus | Wasatch Peak Bagging | Best Hikes in Utah

Mount Olympus was an amazing hike! Most of the trail is between south to west facing so it gets a lot of sun which is nice for helping the snow melt during the spring. I hiked this in May and it still had a decent amount of snow at the top but the views were worth it. Splitboarding The Skillet on Mount Moran | 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America

The skillet is a 6,000 foot ski run on Mount Moran in the Tetons, and is one of the 50 classic ski descents of North America. Snow conditions ended up being pretty bad this day and my group ended up not making it all the way to the summit. On the way up we passed a ton of avalanche debris from the previous day. We probably could have continued uphill for a little longer, but wouldn't have had t...

Terminal Cancer is a steep couloir in Nevada, and is one of the 50 classic ski descents of North America. This was a last minute trip and I'm glad I did it. We had awesome conditions! Even though the snow at the very bottom and top was a little variable, most of the run had amazing snow. The natural rock hallway was full of powder and the views were very aesthetic. Splitboarding Heart of Darkness | Wasatch Backcountry Ski Mountaineering

Heart of Darkness is a steep narrow couloir off of Monte Cristo in the Wasatch Mountains. The ridge line up Mount Superior was steep and really fun. The snow in the couloir wasn't the best, it was pretty icy and choppy, but it was st...

"Kahala?" Ka'ala.
Yeah haha, I noticed I pronounced it wrong when I was editing it. 🤦
Great hike !! Thought I was about to watch a David Lynchs Twin Peaks review but I'm not disappointed :)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Sorry it wasn't the review you were looking for haha 😅.
Enjoyed your video! Moab is one of my favorite places to visit and explore.
Thanks! Yeah, Moab is such a cool place!

great video. how was the food?
Thanks! We thought the food we got was pretty good.
Doesn't even look aired down!
We did air down the tires some. I was definitely impressed with how well the 4Runner did haha.
Very nice and capable.. sooo an old stock runner had no problem climbing that obstacles… i see tons of videos climbing that obstacle with tons of mod and still fail.. Best mod is drivers mod!!! Good shit
Yep, I've seen a lot of videos of other vehicles fail on this as well. My friend has a decent amount of rock crawling experience, so it was cool watching him drive up this. 🙂
Any tips for the hike?
There's not really any shade, so bring water and sun screen/sun protection. It'll probably be more enjoyable in the morning before it gets too warm. The trail gets pretty narrow with drop-offs right before the last pillbox, so just be careful if you go to that one. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward hike. I hope you enjoy it!
@@murphytravelsofficial thanks!

Well done. You did great on your fish identification! Lovely family you have.
Thank you!

Beautiful! We were just there last month, but the rope wasn't there where the footholds were and there wasn't any water to cushion the fall if we fell. Unfortunately, we decided yo turn around. Bummed we didn't get to do yhe whole trail
Thanks! Dang, that's too bad you weren't able to do more of the trail. Hopefully you'll get another chance sometime 🙂. I know the water level on trails like this can change a lot.
I went there yesterday but the smell was so bad and strong. Is it normal?
Was it a sulfur smell or something else? I don't remember it smelling super bad when we were there, although a slight sulfur smell is pretty common at hot springs in general. I wonder if the smell changes depending on the time of year or other condition?
How did you access this? We drove the OHV road for several miles today. We got on just south of Mt. Carmel.
Hey! We parked just off the side of Hwy 89 at the Elkheart Cliffs Slot Canyon Trailhead. Then hiked to the top of the wash, which turns into the slot canyon. You should be able to find a map/gpx file with good beta online.
@@murphytravelsofficial Thank you!

Rad!!
Thanks! It's a pretty cool line! 😀
Going tomorrow! Super excited!
Nice! It's an amazing spot. Have fun!

Do you really need a reservation to hike here?
From what I remember, it's more of an access agreement/liability waiver forms you have to fill out. Basically you just have to agree that the land owners aren't liable for anything and that you aren't doing commercial guiding and stuff like that. You can check out the Hiking Permit info here: www.hrihelp.com/hiking-camping
I think it's probably the same form for Laie Falls .
Thank you for the info, what time would you recommend starting a hike like this? I’m just gonna go and park and hopefully not get in trouble.
@Makeawish456 I usually start my hikes first thing in the morning, so I have as much time as I need/want.
@@murphytravelsofficial I wish my friends could wake up before noon lol, I’m the only early bird..
I cannot find the second pillbox
I had a hard time finding it my first time because I read a bad description of where it is. After you get to the first pillbox, keep hiking parallel with the shore line (Northish). It's not very far to the second one. There are also a bunch of trails that go inland and more uphill. Those are fun to hike, but are the wrong direction.
0:03 is where I put my tent when I went up there. The closest part to the island on the right side of the lake is where I almost drowned too😂
Oh wow, that sounds scarry! I'm glad you didn't drown.
Great video - gives me a good sense of what it would be like to go see it.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

Where's the location? I'm vacationing there in 2 weeks
It's called "Rio Choyin". It's by La Fortuna, near the Arenal Volcano. The entire river is warm.
Love it! I went here today and it was really fun.
Nice! Glad you had a good time! 😃
We just did this a few weeks ago on a REALLY rainy day. The falls were amazing! they were showing pretty strong that day (5/18). We got soaked but it was awesome.
That's awesome! These falls would be really cool to see when it's flowing strong.
Where is this?
Fall Creek Falls, Idaho. Near Swan Valley.
How long did the hike up take with a kid?
It's about 2 miles one way. It probably took us around 2 hours to get up.
I've been told the hike is actually pretty difficult?
It depends on how much you hike. It's just under 2 miles one way and about 900 feet of elevation gain. There's also not a ton of shade. So it really just depends on the persons fitness level.
Beautiful island just came back 😮from vacation from there lots to do on the island 🏝️ ❤
Yes, Cozumel's an amazing place! 😃
Nice vid. Were there webbing straps at the anchor stations?
Thanks! The anchors were all in good condition with new webbing when we went through, although that was last year. It's a very popular route, so chances are everything will probably be good to go, but I'd still bring some webbing and rapid links just in case you need to replace anything.
Nice
Thanks!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I was there watching you! First time I've seen anyone on it. Amazing!
That's awesome! It was really fun, we had great conditions!😃
Nice video. Thanks for naming the fish.
Thanks! You're welcome 😀
how deep is the water?
It was probably around 8-9 feet deep at the jumping spot when we were there. The water levels change quite a bit at these falls, so it might be different depending on how much rain there has been recently.

Great video except my heart skipped a beat when I saw your beautiful daughter buried in the sand. Please Google Sloan Mattingly Fort Lauderdale to learn more.
Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the info on potential dangers with sand holes at the beach.
I used to go to Waimea falls as a kid with my family long long ago when there was only a narrow dirt foot path with a lot of big rocks to the falls. Later on in my teens my friends and I used to hike the trail to Waimea falls to go swimming in the pools below the falls and jump off the rocks into the pool. Life was good in those days. Brings back a lot of good memories.
Sounds like some good memories 😀
@@murphytravelsofficial yeah, Hawaii wasn’t so overpopulated then.
Can i drive to this spring?
Excluding winter road closures, you can drive pretty close. It's a short walk (0.5 mile or less) from the parking area, but has a river crossing with no bridge. The water was knee high when I went, but I'd imagine it's deeper in the spring time.
Which spring is this?
It's called Chicken Soup in Lava Hot Springs, just on the side of the river.
@@murphytravelsofficial thanks, I'll have to check it out! I've been looking into some other springs, the only one I know how to get to from memory is Jerry Johnson.
Sick!! What mountain range are you at?
This was over in the Ruby Mountains. 😀
What's the name of the beach? Looking for a kid friendly place
Hi, it called Kalepolepo Beach Park.
Just got back from Sky Reef on our 1st cruise . I loved this place. 1st time in really clear water
Nice! I'm glad you had a good experience. 😀
Used to go here as a kid many times!
What time did you start the hike?
It's been long enough that I don't remember the exact time, but it was probably around 8-9am.
