@@jmclick.6349 Unfortunately, I had to donate my Type S last year because my transmission finally went out on me. Plus before that during my final year of ownership, my beloved type S really became a money pit with other things breaking down on it. But the engine remained strong and was still in great shape even after I donated it. After 6 years of ownership of this car, it was a pure joy and I have no regrets owning this car. At the time the tranny went out, my Type S had just over 230,000 miles on it so it has been around the block and held it’s own.
@@texasfoci You got yourself a great car with a very fun, powerful and reliable engine. How many miles is on it? Just be easy with the Tranny. Over all, the Type S is a fun car to own and is mostly reliable. Enjoy.
AHHH! miss that engine sound. (that vtec tho).... I used to own this car in 2006. It says 260hp on paper but it felt a lot faster.(like300hp) This car is suprisingly quick for its size... this was my first tiptronic transmission car and I thought it was very responsive. I think the a-spec has shorter shifts and stiffer suspension then the type-s. I remember this car going from 80km to 180km like butter..had the speedometer needle looking like the rev needle. the bat mobile, lol I miss this car.
LACounty8l8 a lot of car manufactures go down on the HP number to play it safe, the TL-S 03 probably produces around 270hp-280hp and the standard around 240hp-250hp.
you are so ignorant you need to do some research on these engines it only make 260crank hp which through drive train loss over about 25% looking around 220 230whp
Matt O'Hearn Although its just a rule of a thumb, FWD with 25% drivetrain loss is way too much. 25% is usually with AWD and 17-20% is with the RWD. FWD usually is about 15% due to having least amount of parts to transfer the engine power to the wheels.
A-spec is a Canada only option. Different 17 in wheels, oem lip kit, 2 tone interior, black n blue. I'm not sure but I think suspension's tighter also. Black housing headlight n black grill. Sexy as fuck, I own one n I'm giving it a treat in 2 weeks. AEM cai, OBX headers n downpipe, n complete Apexi WS2 exauste setup.
just get XSP header they are comptech copy version I had them for about a year now and I got problem free. I like it because the price tag on $130 shipped. I was looking into Comptech exhaust and header too but when I saw the price... DAM. Check my profile out I got exhaust tone on my J30A1.
so you gain 25 WHP just by intake, exhaust mod, because stock J32a2 rate about 190 or 195 whp right? if so then dam that alot of gain but not noticeable lol.
Killer ride. I am most likely buying this exact car later in the week. I found one with just over 100K for $13,000. Test driving it tomorrow maybe. Cheers for this video!
Hate to say but that's not good for the weak automatics they have.
Ah yes vtec noise go brrrr
Nice 👍
No numbers??? Try again.
Do you still have your TL type s or nah?
That ride probably a toaster by now!!!😆
