Even though some folks find Japan pressings to be lacking in bottom end, the care and attention to detail during manufacture is obvious. Unlike most other countries, 7" 45's from Japan seem to be given the same high standard of mastering/pressing/vinyl quality as the Japan made full length albums. Polystyrene rather that first grade vinyl was commonly used in the US.
