Lyndall Brakes Forged Modular Wheels
Lyndall Paul explains the benefit of our forged aluminum modular wheels for your Harley-Davidson.
Our forged wheels are plug-and-play fitment for most HD models from 1984 to present. By switching to our wheels, you can expect a significant weight reduction compared to stock, while improving your wheels strength and longevity.
By reducing your rotating mass, you'll improve your bike's acceleration, deceleration, and handling. Add our Bow-Tie Cut rotors and you can expect a huge over rotating weight reduction (about 7 lbs per wheel depending on your current setup.)

It would be really nice if Lyndall support was as outstanding as Lyndall products. I need to upgrade my rear rotor and pads on my 2010 FXSTC and after a LOT of research it looked like Lyndall was the best quality stuff out there. However, getting support to answer questions clearly or even at all was like pulling teeth. Mostly I got vague responses or I had to send several e-mails because support only wants to answer one question at a time. So after a LOT of pain I was all set to pull the trigger on my order and Lyndall dropped yet another surprise on me! I ordered a set of pads to use with my stock rotor to see what sort of improvement I got. But while the pads were still in transit I was told that the pads I ordered will grind the Lyndall rotor so I need to buy profile pads! WTH?!?!? Same part and fitment... will work with stock rotor but not a Lyndall rotor?!?!? Who at Lyndall thought this was a good idea? And I asked the profile pads questing several times over preceding weeks and Lyndall support ignored my question! So.... buyer beware. You guys may have amazing products but I guess I will never know because your support really sux! So I'm off to see what Galfer can do for me. Get your act together guys! I want to be buying USA not something made in Spain.
Why does a Harley Davidson requires Floating rotor? Absolutely no use😂😂😂
Float rotors are used less transfer of heat from the outer piece to inner piece. HDs are heavy and the brakes do get hot trying to stop the mammoths.
how about the black rotors?
Verry good
Great video thanks for the lesson. 🤘🏽
Only for HD?? many, many other brands would take interest in them.
왜 피스톤이 플라스틱으로 돼 있는 겁니까??
they are aluminum
Thank you for the information, answered a few questions I had through your video. Excellent content as always
Thanks Paul! Great info!
Every time I see bare hands in contact with brake flui I scream!

Where do you buy the rebuild kit

Where can i buy these seals orings? please send me information to buy i'm from mexico
A local dealer should be able to point you in the right direction.
So I've been using the z plus ones on my black rotors that I purchased from Lyndell direct, along with my brembo calipers. I'm having issues where I get a lot of fade and they're really not working out anywhere near as well as I thought for 13 inch rotors with the brembos and those Z pads w/duel 13" disk in the front, & single 11.8 in the rear, Brembo frt/rear. On an 18 Roadglide Special. Lyndell suggested using the extreme pads. What will that end up doing to my rotors as far as longevity with a daily, somewhat aggresive rider, as far as chewing up the rotors??? Kevin
our Z Plus pads are our softest compound. While they are great for cleanliness and noise, they are lower stopping torque and meant for commuting/touring, not aggressive riding. For aggressive riding I'd switch to our Xtreme or Sintered Xtreme compound, will be a night/day difference just changing the pads. The harder pads will pull the black finish but leaves a nice contrasted look. Contact me directly and I'll help you out. 7372135819 or at info@lyndallbrakes.com
Excellent quality products! Thank you for showing us the steps it takes to make a quality American made piece of art!
thank you for your support!
Thanks for this video. I live in an area that must be alot of old people or something. Finally pulling the trigger on a set of your rotors and pads on my bike and the shops around here have never heard of you guy's so it's up to me to figure all this out

Is there a piston sequence for those monoblock brembos? I have the same style on my motorcycle. I recently inspected the pistons, I pushed them out with the brake lever so I could clean them. I noticed that they extend in an offset pattern (front left and Rear Right extends more than the remaining two pistons). Since seeing the pattern, I figured it shouldn't be extending in that sequence.
All the pistons should push out at the same time. If they are moving at a different rate all you need to do is clean them, and if you are still having issues its time for a full rebuild.
The BEST Brake pads money can buy! Worth every penny, Thank you for your products!
We're glad to hear you're happy with the pads! Thank you for your business. We love making the best products for best riders out there!
do you sell the rebuild kits?
yes we do, for the m4 monobloc with 34mm pistons
These rotors are a joke only lasted 20k miles before the rotor ring has to be replaced. Warranty is a joke. I'm ever buying these rotors again.
I talked to the customer service team about your issue. And you are correct we do not warranty for minimal thickness wear on our rotors. Our warranty guarantees for the life of the rotor to never warp when using our brake pads. Your issue is that you reached minimum thickness on the rotor then continued using the rotor until it failed. Quick note about that: depending on which brake pads you use (along with riding style) the rotor lifespan will be different. z+ pads ~65k // Gold + pads ~35K // Xtreme ~25K
Plz explain it like for a 4 year old, not 5 year old. What fluid for a '22 Road Glide LTD? Ty, MAg
Use the 5.1 brake fluid for everyday rider and it will last the longest before needing to be changed. (Approx. every 9 months) Use the 660 if you get your brakes hot (riding two up or going up and down steep grades) but you will want to change your fluid more frequently (Approx. every 6 months)
I hope this isnt a daft Q but does it matter which way round the seals go in as i thought you said at 6.15 they are not round and have leading and trailing side ? but on inspection on my M50 seals both edges look the same
I think you will be fine either way.
@@lyndallbrakes apparently the seals are square but where the seat into the calliper isnt, so over time the form to the calliper and so fore then have to be replaced when removed
Those dust seals are not that easy or at least mine arent
The older they get the more difficult it is to clean and rebuild.
Are there titanium castled pistons available for this caliper?
Not for this caliper but brembo does have calipers with titanium pistons.
do you guys sell those rubber plugs?
Unfortunately we don't
not only dust seal but also piston should be changed??
You should check them for any sign of wear, scratch. First indicator are the brake pads, if they wear evenly, the caliper pistons are fine, if the brake pads looks like a slice of salami, chances are you have a one or more pistons to change
You should inspect your pistons and if there is any damage you should replace them. But for the most part if you maintain your calipers you will not have to change the pistons.
This is Chris with Rattler Performance Works in Cosby TN . I run Lyndall rotors on my 2015 FLHXS , Crown cut rotors on Prodigy wheels , Extreme pads , Brembo M4 calipers . It stops hard and fast , I also have Bow tie cut on my CVO Vrod 2005 , I will say the titanium hardware is NOT CHEAP but it finishes off the nice product . Best in the business 💪

Been using your pads for 15 years on my HD. What ever happened to the almmc rotors?
We discontinued them, they stopped really well but were not durable enough for the streets.
my rear brake disc It's the same color as you in this video, which now moves a lot. And then there was a loud noise. How do I fix it? Must change the Attachment Ring or change 3M. Please answer me. Greetings via message Both emails have been sent.
Changing the 3M will help reduce the noise. But if you have significant play in the rotor, you might need to replace the carrier. Looks like I am a little late replying to this message, but if you are still having issues contact us and we will be able to help out.
Killer products and great video explaining the differences between the rotors for the customers who are up in the air on which ones to buy! 🤘🏻💪🏻
The Metal spring plate at the top is not necessary? The pads have some good amount of play without them
Use at your descension, does not hurt to leave them in.
Just wanted to say we love your products and the videos are a big help as well. Cheers Brother
grateful for your business and support, cheers
What about the spring retainer to hold the pads.
we find that they are not necessary, as the body of the caliper traps the pads in place. They simply serve as a vibration dampener to reduce noise. We have done many track days with them and many without and have not noticed any difference in performance
@@lyndallbrakesIv found that when the heat builds after a session on track, the springs seems to expand and bind the pads to the disc a fair bit. Taking the springs out rectifies it. Is it normal for the springs to cause binding like this in these calipers?
presume same applies for 100mm?
that's correct
thanks for your informative video. it made rebuilding my Thruxton R brakes a breeze! cheers
thanks for watching!
I’ve had the black round style on the front of my 17 SG…I have a distinct pulsing in medium to hard braking..I have noticed since watching this video that these look directional…the left side gassing design actually travels backwards in comparison to the right..I’m not sure if that is causing the pulsing but the left rotor is glazing in spots. I emailed Lyndall but have not received a response. Just throwing that out. Aesthetically there awesome.
our rotors are meant to be ambidextrous, the direction of the gas slot will not affect performance at all. If you are having any issues please email info@lyndallbrakes.com to start a warranty claim. We will ask you to mail us the parts for warranty inspection and to include the brake pads. (our rotors are lifetime guaranteed against warpage when used with our brake pads)
Lyndall warranty replaced both rotors and pads..very happy with them standing behind there products.
Can you tell me how can I buy them ?
email us at info@lyndallbrakes.com to purchase rebuild kits for brembo radial calipers
Hi ! I need some help on this caliper :) I'm french, sorry for the vocabulary I did everything like you, and, i have to check up the drain valve. So, I remove the cap, and i unscrew it. I screw it, and i did the bleeding procedure. Pressure is okay, but each drain valve have a little sweating (not by the hole/neck, by the screw thread). I do not understand. There is no seal around there no ?
You may have a different version of the caliper. make sure you get a rebuild kit that matches your model number and take care in replacing anything that is worn down or dirty.
Great video. Very helpful.
Same for the 2004 brembos from g35 coupe?
this process should work for most all monobloc calipers
Best video for rebuilding calipers! Please create more. For rebuilding calipers, should it be based on time or usage? Should it be done yearly or can it go like 25k miles for monobloc calipers?
depends on different factors such as, which brake pads you're using and how much dust they produce. We usually test piston movement by removing one caliper at a time from the fork, then pumping the brakes to exercise caliper pistons and inspect the rate at which they compress. All four pistons should travel in unison and pads should meet in the middle of the caliper. If not, clean pistons and repeat process until they do, replacing seals as necessary.
Thank you. RLTW
G’day Paul. Thanks for putting this video up for us. I’ve been using your Z-Plus pads on my 2009 Night Train since the very first pad change. One of my mates said to give them a go because of the very low dust compared to the OEM pads, and I’ve been running them ever since. Best brand on the market, thanks for what you and your team do.
You should do a side by side comparison to the Galfer rotors.
Shitty method with the piston removal. I always stick something in the middle that passes trough the disc cutout and then two thicker plastic pieces, and boom, all 4 will move and none will fall out. ;)
okay
