It's not professional to sit the new hinges on the hood
Do you have a video of it without the edit so we can see which wire your resistor is to?
Thank you for this video do you guys are the best video I've seen it like keeps it real we're just some huge working in the shop with my old lady great video thank you
Iv always wanted to restore a suburban more than likely tho a 4×4 and a 2 wheel drive
Honestly I regret buying these !! I should’ve just bought new taillights and some led bulbs
They are supposed to not be attached that way you can adjust it There is a panel into the cab corner behind the seat where the speaker is and you can get right too it with your hand
Would you do it on both sides
Im having this same issue. Same truck too.
I just stick with the regular old bulbs
Nice video thank you I’ve a 86 c10 working on restoration
I bought same tail lights. Mine all work fine until I pull the headlights knob for either running or headlights. Then rear lights up like I’m pushing brake pedal. Push knob in to turn off headlights and running lights then all works fine. I swapped front turn and marker lights to led and they work fine. WTH!! Any advice. There’s no mention of installing resistors and RUclips shows just quick swap and crap works.
Same problem with mine
I'm never replacing my hinges
Most Aftermarket parts are garbage .....i always use oem parts
What was that spray you used as a lube? I think you said it was good for other parts of the truck too.
Wurth, I've been pretty impressed with this stuff so far. Not cheap, but seems to be worth the money. www.ebay.com/itm/181460891693?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=F2zAx5zfSUu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=sHkKz6QITtG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Im having the same issue...putting a resistor fix the problem? What exactly needs to be done to fix this issue?
The resistors did fix the problem. Wired I think on the taillight side to ground, though I can't recall for sure. It was easy to try both and figure out which solved it.
Brother thanks a bunch. Ill pick up a couple resistors tomorrow and test them out. I'll let you know or may ask for more help✌
@@reynawilkerson-t3r honestly I just picked up some generic resistors for LED taillights off ebay, the kind that have the heat sink. Here are the exact ones I bought. www.ebay.com/itm/173925634277?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1Mhz8u9MTaS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=sHkKz6QITtG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY 9000 miles later it's still working perfectly.
@@midwestcustoms8587just tried my passenger tail lights but still not working correctly with the resistor attached. Do you have to have a resistor for all 4 turn signals for this to correct the problem?
I had same problem you have to hard wire your break lights or either the running lights
I literally just did this on my crew cab sad sad day.
What wire is the resistor wired too?
This is the video i needed, thank you. I agree on the price not being worse than a 5-10yr old suburban. Got an 88 v20 with a brand new crate motor and 130k miles rust free for $15k. I juat need minor body repair (a single inner wheel well replaced and one small dent), new interior and new paint and it'll be a true head turner.
Would like some more info on your c notch
Bad wiring
Looking to swap my suburban little stuff like cam and springs what mpg do you get on the highway
This engine is a stock L33 with the stock cam. I did put it together this way hoping for the best mileage I could. The rear has 3.73 gears and this summer I got 19mpg at 70-75mph and 18mpg with a canoe on top. Hope that helps!
What do you guys mean by this , I’m going to do this same job tomorrow
It's not too difficult to pay more than $35k for paint and body work on a square body.
That's why I wanted to find one that didn't NEED that!
This video is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve got a 82 gmc C25 diesel, I’m considering making a daily driver. Will have to sell my 2004 ram 1500 with 90k miles and use the money to fix up the C25. Seems risky, but my Ram is about to need a bunch of work, and has always given me trouble. My C25 runs, but could use to have the engine rebuilt, exhaust replaced, new transmission with more than 3 speeds. The rest I can do myself.
Sounds like either needs work, so it's a matter of which one you value the repairs on more. Good luck!
Love the videos keep it up!
Thanks, and more to come....
Working on my buddy’s truck the nut wasn’t captured on his either.
Does the fender still have to come off if I’m only replacing the top hinge? ( I have manual locks and windows. )
Yeah, it really does. I just went out and tried to stick my hand in there to check and just no room. If you're pulling the fender off I'd do both, so you don't have to do it again.
No, but you're going to wish that you did. In order to get it off without removing the fender, you have to detach the door from the hinges (which means having to hold the door with something, and since you can't reach the hinge bolts after you put the door back on, it makes adjusting the door properly a real hassle of trial and error. For your own sanity, just remove the fenders.
BlueJeep? I've read the build, hope you don't mind I'll be borrowing some of your ideas.
Yep, that is me! Borrow all the ideas you like, they're out here for everyone to enjoy!
Man if I had a wife into trucks like yours I would be a very happy man
It sure does help not having to "withhold" how much I've spent on my project, but have her say "let's make a video of this and share with the world"!
I saw the thumbnail and thought to myself "that Suburban looks familiar!" very nice!
