I believe that the world will experience a crisis that will lead us all into a primitive arena. We should be ready.
Aside from that, please enjoy the clips presented here, of family, fun and things picked up along the way~

My life has changed 360 these last 8 months, but my love of survival principles, skills and primitive tools hasn't diminished at all. In fact, they have a whole new meaning now. Here is a review of the KampMATE stove ~
Update on BG Mini-Parang After Years of Use
Просмотров 5668 лет назад
I am not a BG authority, having only had one negative experience with these Branded products. That was the large parang that was recalled. I didn't care for it. BUT, this mini-parang has proven to be of wonderful size and weight, being both durable and comfortable to use...with some personal modifications :)
My Thank You is Payback

The introduction to my channel is basically a thank you to all the other RUclipsrs that enrich my life with entertainment, information and education. That is why I make videos. To payback a little. They are not professional, and I do not make money from them. They are simply for your fun, and edification.
Hobo Pipe
Просмотров 9908 лет назад
It is April 20th (420) and I thought it might be a great day to show you how I make a Hobo Pipe to smoke herbs in. You can call it a Bush Pipe, and as I say in the video, it's not what you smoke in it, but the fact that you can make one to smoke in! I show you my favorite local tree to use, with a few hints and tips you may choose to use or not use.
A General Introduction to the Rocket Stove

Here is a general play by play on the Rocket Stove. There are many types and variations, but this is the basic brand with lots of tin tape ;)
DIY Coozy
Просмотров 458 лет назад
It is spelled different ways, but this DIY Coosie (Koozy) is both practical and fun to make. They can be made for your pots, cups and especially those containers you use to both cook and eat from. It keeps your hot stuff hot, longer. I suppose it also keeps your cold drinks cool longer!! You'll need some tin or aluminum tape from Lowes, along with whatever you choose to use for insulation. In t...
Hash & Eggs with Cheap Equipment

This no name really cheap stove did just fine containing my brunch fire, and the Walmart three piece aluminum cook pan was just the ticket. I used a dollar silicone spoon for cooking and a spoon. The cost of this cookware: Stove $5ish, Cookware $7ish. Filling my stomach? Priceless!
Initial Impression of the Schrade SCHF 52

I waited and was patient. This high value knife, "new and improved" by Schrade, was on my "Hit List" I have to say...my initial impression wasn't all that :/
At A Glance: Safety Can Opener & Walmart Cook Set
Просмотров 1258 лет назад
I reuse food cans and the best can opener to use for that is this "Safety" Can Opener which cuts around the perimeter of the lid, rather than the top of the lid. This leaves no sharp edges, and allows for the lid to be reused. ALSO, a quick table-top look at the Walmart available three piece cook set found on sale for $10
Paracord Bracelet for a Fast Tripod
Просмотров 1458 лет назад
Many people wear paracord bracelets for fashion and they do have their "survival" applications but unless you have items tied into your para-bracelet, using them for anything other than fashion requires dismantling them. Here I show that you can use one for creating a fast, easy but sturdy camp tripod. Simply remove it from your wrist, find some good sticks, and slip it on. It takes seconds, an...
VR "Books That Made A Difference In My Life"

This is a video response to The Weekend Warrior Channel on Books that made a difference in our lives. It was not only my pleasure to participate, but I also learned something about myself that I liked. I learned that my favorite books are ones that stimulated me in the areas of independent living; foundational books of self reliance and sustainable living, that provide me with concepts for hand...
Burn-Out Picnic

Doing a burnout on a mini-brick bbq and a couple of camp pots, and I decide to go ahead and have a "picnic" lunch at the same time. Discussion of basic fire principles, and some chat.
General Introduction To The Ferro-Rod
Просмотров 478 лет назад
This video is not meant for those who are "in the know" but rather for those who are not. The Ferrocerium Rod has been called the most reliable form of ignition by many who use it, and while some disagree, I do agree with that statement. While a BIC Lighter is my first choice to light a fire, and my second choice matches, you should have and know several other ways to create a fire...it could m...

Opening A Coconut with The KABAR Combat Kukri
Practically Impractical as it should be
Great video. I like the idea of a walking stick.
Great vid, I've had one for years. But it was originally sold as a survival throwing knife. I use mine for fishing and home pest control lol! It throws beautifuly. Cold steel bushman and this sog spirit are great for pond fishing and wild boar hunting
All leather sheaths need a breaking time to mold & stretch round the knife. If you can't wait that long then put sheath it in hot water wrap the knife in film then put the knife in the sheath & leave it in for 3 days & it will wet form 😉
i use a machete like they due in other countries
Beautiful cat
Wifey wants new shoes now. Man o man. Doggin on 1 of the best sheath designed ever
Someone had mentioned that they did not like the sheath design and I think they're completely stupid I think their sheet design for the combat cookery is beautiful next to perfect
Plz mention the back sheath.. Jeez people
Way overdue for a video bud
Sweet jazz brother
I have a GI Tanto that with not fit the sheath correctly ,if it's forced in it really a B__ch to get it back out. Good to know Amazon refunded you 40% of you cost 😎
It's a good blade design and once the sheath issue is addressed it will be a foridable weapon or edged tool implement.🗡️🎱🗡️
You can remove the belt loop and flip it to the other side for left handed carry.
Those are not Twenty Dollar now in 2021 now dayz , glad I got one back in the BudK Dayz , I had my work cut out for me sharpening it. The Ka Bab is good but I got the BK21 by Ka Bar and its a Becker blade with a handle like Becker you have.
I have one and love it. I don't understand why they stopped making it
Bk21 full Becker tang is where it’s at
Yup you got that correct pal. That's how come I want another one and a BK 9 with some upgraded scales.
👍👍🇧🇷 Parabéns
Don't forget to burn off the plastic liner in those can billy pots so it does not leach all over your food. Awesome diy cook pots, great job! :)
How is your stove holding up 3 years later?
Wow, thanks so much. I actually already have some of this under my kitchen sink!
Great small saw, i like it. I have a two Opinel knives, no10 Carbon, and no10 inox fillete. They also made a big folding saw, with interesting locking mechanism. Take a look. Best regarda from Serbia. 🌲😊😊😊
👍
that center pouch is for the ka - bar becker Remora knife . a very nice knife.
Like it a lot but would be better with a full tang rather than the classic kabar "stick full tang".
It a combat Kukri for soldiers mostly, that's how come its small and light weight.
Looks like all u need is the cane because you are supposed to throw it, or do something with it...something....anything......
I'll pass
Smart
The butt cap is 1095. Just like on a 1217, etc..
Hiram ... do you think the IKEA stainless steel tea infuser, Article Number: 803.602.39, for $2.99 has potential to become a small wicking alcohol stove? I’m tempted to buy one, remove the handles, and insert some ceramic matting for a wick. Maybe it needs to be cut down so the holes are all covered by the wick.
Those are great little stoves. I've built several of them and they are now my go to stove. They never fail. Super light weight and easy to pack. They cost me aprox. $1.60 to build. You can't beat that with a stick. Thanks for the video !
Great video subscribed
Recorded in vertical and from the worst possible angle. Why?
Its good to you and I but if you hand this to a young kid, its gonna come flying back at your head guaranteed.
That little area is for one of kabars made in China skeleton knives that come with all the 'zombie' branded line. I think they are all the same sheath.
I smoke catnip😂😂I'm not gunna lie it did work
great knife but the sheath that comes with it sucks kydex make a case for it makes the knife perfect
I have those for camping. They drip too fast. I think next time, I'll pug up one of the holes with backed filter paper.
I just use these pipe jacks, pot smokers use them rather than a screen... www.amazon.com/Polykarmatic-Glass-Screen-Pipes-Container/dp/B01F2NSFM4/ref=asc_df_B01F2NSFM4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198057711065&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14872600373775785372&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015455&hvtargid=pla-348539844406&psc=1
We have one they work great for what they are
I love the idea of the heavy plastic from detergent bottles as sheaths. Great idea!!!
Another reviewer who was raving about the fancy Feast Stove said the only "con" for this item was that it couldn't be snuffed out. You have just disproven that myth. Thank you! As far as I know there are now no cons to this stove.
you talked more about the coconut than the knife :(
Holes in the top of the tomato paste can are for pressure release. When a pot is set on the stove, pressure that builds from the process has no where to go. Can force alcohol to actually flow from the wick. Dangerous!!! Hole prevents that problem. Hiram Cook and Colorado Camper. The latter developed a simmer ring for the Fancy Feast. FWIW.... I've built 6 of these stoves and have enough felt left for at least 2 more. The flame protector from Lowes is economical if building multiple stoves for friends & family. Did this for their storm emergency kits. A stove & bottle of Heet gives them a way to heat a can of soup & more..
nice! enjoyed the video
Fire needs three things to live. Oxygen, Heat and Fuel. By building a small contained fore like this, heat is concentrated somewhat to promote a hot burn, the fuel is bundled, and the air flow clean. I was surprised that it did not have as much soot on it when I finished. It did have a really pretty patina :)
"click off". I like that. LOL
I don't know what knife ka-bar intended for that little sheath, but on the becker sheaths, a BK13 Remora fits in that spot. The product page on ka-bar's website doesn't mention the little piggyback sheath, go figure. I agree with you about the Machax, btw. It doesn't get the attention it deserves. Most of the attention goes to the BK9.
I'm starting to like that style of Kukri by Kabar ,,,the name Combat is a Kabar kick back to the knife I would guess,,,Take Care
This is the second folding stove I have seen tonight, I need to add one of these to my light weigh kit, maybe it is a sign to get one... LOL Good stuff
I really enjoyed this Video. I sure do love to see a virgin burn on a stove. Feeding the fires is the best thing about it. I like to call it, Feeding the Beast. PNW Bushcraft makes great Stove bags and they are super affordable, all you have to do is shoot them a message with measurements...Waxed canvas and Leather.
the black cat looks like my cat midnight XD
