I thought you were toby as spiderman my bad wrong place
I was wondering why the jokes about drummers 25 years ago. Today, with internet available to any random dude and anyone recording themselves, it's clear why. It's all about that lack of awareness of doing something already done a thousand times, if not more, and talking about it like a sage with high wisdom telling you the ultimate secret. Funny at first, but now it's absurd like the same album re-releasing again and again and again, it's really bothering me... Ironic, because in the 90's, it was so hard to just have a video of someone teaching drums on VHS tape. The mystery around drumming was real, couldn't figure out everything our ears could listen to. But now there is no mystery at all around drumming. Let's see, I already saw how to play the Double Stroke Roll with Dave Weckl in 1989 and 2001, all my 4 drums teachers in the late 90's, but also Jim Chapin, basically EVERYONE and the list just goes like that for ever... But it's even more absurd because of Drum Channel, Drumeo, Drummerworld and all those websites around drumming, add to that free video from people like you or anyone really. So yeah, no we really don't need another video about ''how to play a double stroke roll'' with the matched grip, the same grip twice. It just make our music video harder to find because of people like you adding more video about the same repetitive topic on RUclips. What's your next goal? Let me guess, how to play a damn Paradiddle?
Norman Brown is absolutely fantastic and I love him, he's my favorite.

Wes Montgomery George Benson Chuck Leob Nick Corleone and the great NORMAN BROWN 👏 👍 👌
I went to see Mr. Brown 3 days after the Twin Towers terrorist attacks. He could have canceled but said he wanted to play for us to heal through music. Oh man I'll never forget. He starts playing What's Going On. It stayed with me for the rest of my life. Lesson learned, even if you think you are in the worst of times you have got to keep going by staying positive and spreading goodness.
I love him so much
