A good, but of course limited, selection. The only one I haven't seen was the last one. There were so many great films back then. You could have included Wim Wenders' "The American Friend". I was surprised that you knew of Jean Eustache. Luis Bunuel, Rainer Fassbinder, and Louis Malle all had several worthy movies back then. Malle also had a very successful career in the US. For the eighties, you should include his movie "My Dinner with Andre". The European actors and actresses are much more relatable than American ones. They are more like real people you might meet, and they are lovely that way. Too bad that the AI voice has such terrible pronunciation.

My mother smoked 3-4 packs a day her whole life. She died at 71 of cardio pulmonary disease. We all lived lived in second hand smoke. My father died at 83. I was low birthweight but amazed the doctor by pushing myself up before 6 months. I had a heart murmur that turned out to be innocent and resolved itself before I was in school. My brother developed asthma in his teens that resolved itself in a couple of years. He is 70 now. My great great aunt had a clay pipe in her mouth all day every day. She lived to 99. My adult life has been more harmful to my health at 67 now. The leaded gasoline probably did much of the damage.

I was 9 when an 11 year old pulled me from the bottom of a 9 foot depth swimming pool with my Mom right there on the side who did not notice I was gone .A stranger gave me mouth to mouth resuscitation before the fire department came .I was in the hospital when the Apollo 11 crew blasted off in to space and about 20 nurses were in my room watching it because I had a TV in my room .I went home a couple of days latter and was able to see them walking on the moon. My Mom said"I am so glad that you lived to see this, stay awake" I said "can`t I please sleep? they will show it again later".
