Worked a treat on my 2012 Q3 S line. 10 minute job. Thanks for the video
Thanks for your help !! Much appreciated:)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌👌👌
Your a hero ❤
😆😆😆😆😆😆
Did you add those 2 exterior temp gauges?
Yes. Bought them as accessories. Carefully drilled the required diameter hole and bolted them in. One at grate level and one at dome Level
@@jaydeebee2511 nice. I’m thinking of getting a kettle ranch but not sure if it’s worth it and how much I’ll use it. I have a 22” kettle and use it
@@jaydeebee2511 another question I had was when you set the lip on the holder (when you open the lid) does it get scratched from being metal lid to metal rod holder ?
@@ern153the ranch is at my work place for when we have big cooks for the staff. Would never use something that big at home. At home i run 2 x 22” performers cos normally when i cook volume at home i am cooking different cuts and meat that require different temps and cooking methods.
@@ern153nope.
Is the complete inner part of the pit covered in foil?
Yes. And i just punch through the foil for the air vents. Keeps the kettle clean. After I’m finished a couple bbqs i grab the foul and throw it away. My bbqs are up to 24 years old and look like new cos of it !
@@jaydeebee2511 man that’s such and awesome idea. Definitely doing that from now on
Saves a tonne of cleaning up and keeps the kettle virtually like new
It’s sticks pretty good? I have the same one you do but I bought a tube of high temp RTV to seal it instead of just sticking it on and I’m not sure if I should use it as is or use the RTV.
Stuck perfectly for me as is and has been going fine for years now without an issue
Thank you
Автор забыл сказать, что если вы всё-таки коснулись рукой стекла лампы, то нужно её обработать обезжиривателем.
This is correct. You must not touch the glass part of the bulbs ! 👌👌
Perfect, thanks a lot

Thanks, this worked a treat. Very clear instructions and so simple.
Glad it helped
You saver!!! Thanks 🫶🏻
Glad it helped!
Thank you!!! :-)
You're welcome!
Massive brisket
I mixed 6 parts perlite, 1 part refractory concrete, 1 part Portland cement, and water, for the oven floor under the tiles, It's been curing for 5 days, but it hasn't fully hardened yet. I can still dent the surface with my nail. Could it be that I used too much water, and it won't cure properly? Or will it just take more time? Or could it be the mix itself?
Really dont k ow. Probably just leave it a bit longer. Can u put a small fan on it for a day or two ?
Guys, I've replaced on my 2015 audi Q3 the bulb lights. The original Philips was 12V 25W and when I bought the new ones, I've found a noname brand with 12V 35W. Do you believe is it ok to have 35W instead of 25W? Is it going to burn the fuse in the long run or something else? Thanks a lot to who can answer. Happy New Year and thanks for this video!!
I dont know the answer to that one. We probably need someone versed it electronics or an auto electrician to chime in and give advice
Thank you so much for this video. It was a tremendous help and gave me the confidence to do this job on my own. Just a note, some users may run into slight differences. For instance, screws instead of clips and the bulb inserts a little differently. I have a 2016 Q3 Quatto, the North American version, and these are some of the slight differences. It's nothing that stands in the way of an easy DIY job, though. Thank you for the help.
Yes. Correct thabkyou. The video is many years old now. The 2016 as you jave had revised headlight assembly and different style to my 2013 model
Thanks for that, looks pretty easy
You’re welcome
Thanks jdb, your video was clear...concise...and damn cost-effective. You gave me the confidence to do it. I did it in 30 minutes including cleaning the surrounding areas under the hood with some goo gone. I bought a 2-bulb pack for $35 and used just one. In the end you saved me $300 on my 2015 Q3. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to help me and others. Keep up the great work!
Appreciate it
I like your Performer table modification, that's a huge table
Thankyou buddy
Jay i enjoy your videos. More please
I try to. Life and work gets in the way. Its been a while. I should try and do some work videos just for the fun of it.
Yes !
Big Thanks
Thank you! Super helpful and easy to follow.
Looks awesome, brother.. thinking of getting the same oven . How's it all these years later?
Rock solid. Still use it roughly fortnighly. No issues at all
👍
Thank you, we just did this with my stepdad as easy as you make it only 30 minutes to do this
Thanks for sharing this tho 🙌, my kids have one of this A3 and they need it to be changed
Thank you for making this video. Audi wanted $1200 for 2 bulbs and fitting. Instead I was able to replace the bulbs using your video and amazon for $250
Very helpful thanks for the video sir
Thank you for a great and well explained video. Just used this for my 2013 audi q3 s line with no problems
Hey mate, can you tell me your process after taking out of the bag and begone crisping up in the oven? Did you leave it for a time, salt it ect? Thank you
Mate. Took it out. Dried it woth paper towels. Oil and salt rub. Then let it crisp up in the hot oven
@@jaydeebee2511 thanks, yeah, did the same thing last weekend! Worked a treat!
Awesome. Good to hear. Sorry for the late reply. Been busy. But about to upload a couple new things this week. Which i have not done in a long time. I do youtube just for fun when i have time
@@jaydeebee2511 no problem, I'm trying a brisket this week, sous vide first then I'll (try) smoke it in the woodfire after
I haven’t tried that yet. I meed a big group to do a nice brisket otherwise cant ever eat it all
Took me about 15 minutes to do, everything is very well explained.Thank you so much.
The poundage brisket you got right here, do you think can feed up to 25 people? 😬
With left over !!!!!! Unless they are absurdly massive eaters
@@jaydeebee2511 awesome ty! I plan on shredding it for tacos for my baby shower 😊
Sounds awesome !
Thanks for your video. I am so glad that I changed the bulb by myself. because of your video. I just bought the bulb and screwdriver costed hk$480. I guess the dealer in hk should be charge me hk$1000. Tks again
Youre welcome
Thanks mate, very well explained

duuuude they charge that much for that little work?
Yep. Thats y u diy

👍🏻👍🏻
Many thanks, changed my Xenon light today.

Where do your temp probes go through, now that you sealed the hole?
Same hole. Its just a high temp felt gasket with a slot in the middle. They pass thru and pretty mich seal up around the wires. But i have since moved on to a meater wireless thermometer
Thank you very, very much. You've just saved me lots of bucks.

What mix ratio did you use?

Great video! You are a hero!
Thanks
Hi Jay, great video thank you. I am thinking of get an Elite oven and this video helped. May i ask what model you have? I am thinking about a 850TC built-in. This model has the refractory cast chamber. Thoughts?
They are very good. I have the 850tc on the steel stand that I then cladded up myself. 6 years old now. Still going strong. I bought it as it was easier than trying to get one build and cement rendering etc etc. I just made it easier going for the elite. Compared to a traditional wfo the opening is wider and not necessarily to the exact ratios a pizza oven should be, which means it can loose heat a little faster. And the door is nothing special. You really gotta make your own door if u want to use it as an oven per say to retain heat. But otherwise I wouldn’t think twice about buying it again. About to fire it up now for tonight’s pizza fest.
Te agradezco el video fue muy fácil hacer el reemplazo
Very nice, BBQ looks great
Thanks
