Thing is that a lot of 'taken' men may have affairs but not all result in childbirths. Unfortunately its the child that pays the price for being unwanted in a situation like this. Tom did his 'part' concerning child support, im sure that this money not only fed the kid, but the mom also, 1700 is ALOT concerning one child because usually I hear of maybe $300 for a child, this amount is perhaps due to the father being who he is, and RICH... Tom doesn't owe him anything more than what hes provided for 18 years, and morally Tom has either called it a wash or he has just completely disassociated the situation from his life and calls it a 'one nighter with an unwanted result ' as that's how he has treated the situation. I'm a little confused why he has this deep desire to see, know a man who wants nothing to do with him? He was fed some major bull by the mom in order for this man to grow up longing to meet Tom, I can only imagine what was said. Usually you don't miss what you never had, this man should create his own music, songs, upload to YT and watch his popularity grow without the involvement of mentioning Tom Jones. Im sure he would be successful.

I get it that some people need to hear "I love you" spelled out in direct and clear words. But I can tell you with absolute certainty, as a friend of various linguistically-emotional-trainwrecks, at that moment of goodbye, where he said "Lis" and she turned around and he said "you smell like a toilet", that was it. That was "I love you", it meant nothing else but that.

I think the "toilet" remark, in context, was a joke. Their relationship always remained cool, but it's difficult to imagine Steve Jobs being _that_ much of an asshole to their daughter months before he died.

My(ex)husband is a big lover of Steve Jobs. Admires him deeply. One thing they have in common - my ex also doesn't give a damn about his child. He hasn't seen his child for years, nor has he paid any maintenance fees for years. But he reads all the book that Jobs read and meditates and studies yoga like Jobs did. Well, if one meditates for hours and does yoga but lives a life of a heartless d**k, I question whether those practices are any good for us 🙈😀
