Was thinking to do this experiment, but with water cooling and heating, which is much more efficient moving heat / cold. The setup must be identical with exactly the same power as well. Later i can measure water heat gain over time and see which system is more efficient. Water retains thermal energy better and with minimal loses. I wonder if anyone had done this .

The DS2501 chip you have shown in the diagram can be purchased for different wattage levels. Replace the component with a new DS2501 of the specific wattage you want the laptop to recognise charger to be. Laptop will read the new wattage information from the new component. Hope it helps.

Sa va dea Domnul sanatate , ca ati facut un bine cu ceea ce ati impartasit ! La mine a fost vorba de un aragaz folosit doar 1 an si care arata impecabil la contactele electrice ale termocuplelor . Insa tot au dat rateuri si dupa ce am curatat cu un spray de contact s-a rezolvat instantaneu . Bineinteles ca am sunat la firme specializate si au estimat niste costuri de 7-800 lei , bani economisiti datorita dvs !
