Thank God I drive a Toyota 🙏
Game changer can you used interior?
You are good teacher. Keep it up . I hope you get big followers
You don’t have to cover the alternator?
Straight to the point. Thank you!
Who can achieve? Smoke appeared from under the hood while driving, stopped, disconnected the battery, after reconnecting the battery, sat the car, connected the cable through another car, after which, after driving a couple of kilometers, the batteries and the car stalled, after repeating the procedure with the cable, the car drove a long distance and works well. What could be the problem? excuse me for my english
Mine is dead rite now in my driveway and I don't want to do it
Its a dodge tesla😂
Unbelievable! So stupid
Thanks for this great clear and concise video. I work at a dealership and just needed to give the Journey a jump to move it out of the way. I already thought it was an inconvenient car with the ethanol-only situation but now that I know about the battery I definitely want it outta here! I would never put this on my customers, especially my minivan moms!
Awesome review thanks!
lol
Awesome!
Not looking forward to doing this!! Smdh!! I’d like to smack the design tech at Dodge!!
So dumb
You kind of forgot to show how to do the work, which is the point of this wasn’t it?
I bought my K1800 pressure washer at Sams. I have had it for about four years, and I just purchased my third $40 wand for it. The original wand and the second one I bought just started leaking uncontrollably after 5 - 10 hours of use each. I take excellent care of it, store it properly, and only use it only about 3 times a year for various small to medium sized projects around the house. I've also read reports from other owners who are having the same problem. Obviously there is a defect with these wands, and apparently Karcher has no plan to remedy it. What a shame. I really like it otherwise. It is compact, sturdy, rolls easily, and everything has a place. It's plenty powerful for around the house too. I'm constantly watching for someone who has found a wand that will last and is compatible.
Several videos.... However they have various sequence of events, some of which are perhaps not "best practice"... Ideal #1 Spray the bracket nut and battery terminals with "Easing Fluid of you Choice".... #2. Remove the small electrical plug/socket on the Negative/Chassis Ground, while its "mate" is still attached and firm. #3 Remove the bolt holding the Negative/Chassis Ground cable to the bracket attached to the battery NEG post. Move the cables away from the battery and hold them clear with string/rope/clip (whatever)..... #4 Remove the bolt holding Positive/Red cable to the bracket attached to the POS battery post. Move the cable away from the battery and hold clear as per what was done with the Negative cable. #5... Another spray of "Easing Fluid of you Choice" to the nut at the top of the rod on the "hold down bracket"... Try to undo the nut, if it moves at all, then reverse direction (tighten) slightly and respray, then try and undo again.. It can be reached from above with a long extension bar. Try forward and back and spray to ease the nut off... Note 1:: If the battery terminal bolts are tight it's easier to work them loose without the battery dancing around. Note 2:: With the battery disconnected and the cables out of the way there is far less chance of the long extension bar causing a short between vehicle body and POS battery terminal. Note 3:: With the cables secured out of the way it is easier to "jiggle/juggle" the battery out. Clean it all up. Run the nuts on the various bolts, wire brush and lubricant.... And: If you are reading this then you are a DIY mechanic... Another 10-15 + minutes is not the end of the world...
My journey went into battery saver mode. Any idea how to remove that indicator off the dash cluster
good job bro.
Is it possible to jump this car? 2013 dodge journey?
The stupid thing is, not all Dodge vehicles are like this. The Charger from around the same model year has it in the trunk. The Avenger had the battery in the same location though. So much to dislike about the Jouney.
Seem like those engineers had been smoking pot again 😂😂. Of all the things you could put there to save space they had to put most often replaced part of the car. It’s ok if you have Lithium Iron Phosphate which would literally last the life of the car but a damn lead acid battery goes bad in 2-3 years
Journey far far the worst vehicle ever
Appreciate the no nonsense video man, work at oreillys and had a customer come in and need a battery and didnt have the money to do that and a shop to change it so this was the guide i used to change it for her after hours lol.
Good man! Can you do mine next!? 😅
That was very kind of you to do. Most stores probably would have turned her away.
I just had to do this. All i had were wrenches and i had to use the scissor jack on gravel. I successfully accomplished the goal even though the manufacturer didnt want me to. Now i get dodge journey videos recommend. 👍🏼
Fuck this model
Look no further to answer the question why smart people buy Asian vehicles.
Nice video good info but these assholes at Dodge need to be fired for this design worst ever but thanks again
Man what a pain in the ass… thanks so much for the video tho dude!!!
After replacing the battery my radio screen doesn’t turn on. Any idea how to get that back to work
Just buy a new car.
How long does the smell last from the gunk shine protector ? It's getting into the cab and u can smell the gunk a bit
Someone on Crack designed this!
I'll never buy a dodge ever again because of this.
This is sad 😂😂
This is enough to make me pass on the Journey. It's a headache i don't need🤦🏽♂️
I don't know whats worse, the location of the battery or the fact you bought a Dodge Journey.
Hit a deer recently and bumper was opened up and I saw this battery. was really thrown off. Getting it checked to make sure it’s still properly secure.
Amen
Have you had any problems with it staying on.
This is why you look under the hood before buying vehicles!!!! LOL!
What a piece of SHIT design.
I hear it scratching..
Its 10mm for the terminals and 12mm for the bracket and if the terminals are closer together as some group 26s are you will need to chop off some material on the hold down bracket to make room for the terminals. Good luck yall and screw you mopar engineers!
You didn't show how to remove or replace the RETAINING BRACKET
It's in the same location as the first gen 200's battery.
I wonder if you could relocate the battery to the back and run long cables. Or make a door on the fender to open from the outside.
U did not cover anything
You should remove the battery cables man 😂😂😂😂
Over use of the word “guys.
