    Thanks! I had some bad gum pocket numbers and started using the PocketPik tip that goes under the gums, along with ten drops of grapefruit seed extract in the Aquarius water tank, and it started reversing the gum pockets. 🙏🏻 It takes me 5 minutes to trace all my gums. Have you seen the standard tip also reverse gum pockets? With the PocketPik tip, I can only use setting 2.

    • @holistichygiene
      @holistichygiene 2 дня назад

      You are correct. The Pik pocket is regulated to a 2 and is designed for perio pockets greater than 7mm. Every pocket from 1-7 mm can be cleaned with the standard tip.

    • @holistichygiene
      @holistichygiene 11 часов назад

      Can’t remove black stain. That is coming from food, mouthwash, smoking, vaping, red wine, etc. The waterpik may help prevent some from building but once it’s there you need to see a dental professional for a proper dental cleaning.

    If the water angle around the wisdom teeth is straight down into the gum instead of 90 degrees could that bruise the gum and make them bleed?

    • @holistichygiene
      @holistichygiene 11 часов назад

      Possibly. Those are hard to reach. Do your best to not point that tip into the pocket. There could also have been bacteria, food or plaque built up that once it’s removed with the waterpik, the gums will bleed for a couple days until they have a chance to heal up.

    Please keep making videos!! I have been watching your videos and enjoying the content, I am learning! I neglected my teeth for about 2 years due to poor health and have invested in a waterpik and sticking to waterpik with a dash of the hydrogen peroxide at night, then brush with closys, chew sugar free gum throughout the day after eating and use coco-floss in the morning before brushing. I found Ora Wellness a few weeks ago and use a bit of the powder/oil a few times a week and sometimes just rub the oil onto my gums with a soft toothbrush during the day.

    How much and what percentage hydrogen peroxide? I have a bottle of 6% and 3%, would really love to use it occasionally, but whenever someone mentions adding a capful or so, they don't mention the percentage of the HP they are adding. Just found your channel after finally going in for a checkup and clean, now trying to get health back on track - this is the best instruction video for this that I've come across. Subscribed!

    • @holistichygiene

      Either percentage works. If you have 3% food grade use it. If you have the 6% brown bottle use it. I’ve used both. Both create oxygen needed. Food grade is always superior.

    I kept telling my dentist that water pik was better and he kept telling me to floss. Before I start using the water pic I always had build up behind my right moler and my gums still bled and floss string would smell. I didn't use my waterpik for 3 weeks recently as it was left whilst on vacation. I flossed but my gum became itchy and inflamed. The gum moler i mention became swolem. . I started gargling with mouthwash throughout the day because I didn't know what else to do. I ended up purchasing another one for last days of my holiday. It's was so painfull when I initially began to use it again. My mouth stank and so much food came out that was obviously old. 4 days later bleeding ss stop swelling is gone and partner comment that my breath is alot fresher now. He said he'd beem smelling it bit didn't want to upset me . I felt awefull. Like honestly my mouth was so dirty it's was nasty without it

    The classic tip doesn't actually touch your tooth does it? You feel by water flow? The only tips to touch the tooth is the ortho and plaque finder - the ones with bristles? Great idea on using the brush on the tongue!

    • @holistichygiene
      @holistichygiene 2 месяца назад

      The tip can and should touch your tooth/gum line. Yes, you feel by water flow and the tip going over each tooth tracing the tooth where the tooth and gum meet. Any tip should touch the tooth.

    Floss really ineffective? I don't understand the argumetn of the floss not reaching the last 4mm surface while the waterpik will reach it. I have tried both and with the floss i can reach also the curvy part of the teeth, with the waterpik you can also reach those surfaces but you don't have any surface feedback if you have reached them or not, it depend on the direction you are pointing the waterpik. If you keep a straight direction like you showed you will not reach every part of the deep curved surface of the teeths.

    • @holistichygiene
      @holistichygiene 2 месяца назад

      The string of floss will almost reach 3mm UNDER the gum into the periodontal pocket. Our teeth have concavities on them that a straight string of floss will not touch under the gum. Yes, the floss reaches and cleans all surfaces above the gum that you can see. The pressure of the waterpik allows the water to flow all around and under the gum, creates a vacuum and removes all bacteria, plaque and food debris. The waterpik works for the areas of the mouth no bristle from your toothbrush or string of dental floss will ever be able to touch or reach. Both methods will yield the best results. But if you are going to chose one over the other, waterpik will always give better results

      In my opinion, it’s hard due to time restrictions and the dental professionals asking the right questions and caring enough to help you it is sad to me that more folks do not take the time to help more often. I don’t want you to be sick and I can help you help yourself which in turn makes my job easier. The Heather you are, the easier it is to maintain, the healthier your body is and it can become pleasant to visit the dentist. We can then enjoy the appointment versus dreading it.
