Unboxing and learning to ride inmotion v5f

I got an inmotion v5f electric unicycle. The motor balances front to back but you have to balance side to side. Sounds simple like a bicycle but it’s not that easy, I am learning and I think it will just take a lot of practice.

All I can say about this build is WOW!!!!! Absolutely amazing and professionally done!!!!
Great job.
Great series
How much did it cost. Is sleeping area strong, it looks very sturdy
Nice… but it’s gotta weigh a lot.
Thank you so much this was very helpful
Amazing build, I’d be very proud of that work. Any advice or things you would do differently if done again would be appreciated. I have a 1-ton Chevy dually with an 8’ bed and I’m starting next weekend when some specialty tools get here.
@RobertCox did u have to beef up the suspension or tranny?
Very nice wood working. That's a lot of planning and fitting.
Have you had it ever go bad with no leaks
Hey Robert, I'm Robert and I'm 71 are you there yet
It is now 5 years later. How has it held up?
It was in good shape when I sold it. I built a larger version there are videos on my channel
I have had that same explosive tank problem and it seems like a major health hazard! I have read that a slightly larger tube allows a tiny fan attachment so you can keep the vent really working to move out moisture and smells. Well done, thanks for your video! I would be curious to hear how the small tubing worked out?
weight
You need a couple of windows on the top bed!!
What is that,like a 4ft bed?😂
Well done sir. I restore vintage campers but are looking to one off a slide in.
Fantastic, but no helmet!!!
I have since upgraded to a V11 which goes much faster. I got a full face helmet and glued a rear view mirror onto it. If I start off without it I immediately miss the rear view mirror
Wow this is spectacular , I was in prison for marijuana for 4 years , hard times has put me living in my car for 2 years , I’ve recently bought a truck . I need one of these ! How much would it be for you to build one for me ! Sir ?
You can get used slide in truck camper cheaper than you might think, depending on the condition. I saw a few today from the 90s that were decent but needed some TLC for 1500-2000, can't build one for that
What is the siding material?
You were probably asked this already, but about how much $$ was the total cost in everything? If you don’t mind me asking.
Doesn't even look like a build, It looks like it came out of a factory, Very impressive love it
Thanks
Nice build. What did you skin thr sides and back with? It looked like 1/2" material in one photo? Did you fiberglass the outside?
EPS insulation glued on with great stuff covered with bed sheets and house paint
How about weight sir
This is awesome! Any sag or issues with the back overhang & side entry door?
I have built a few teardrop campers but a stand up camper is on my list
Thank you so much, paint the 2 walls yesterday; and touched the ceiling a tad bit in two areas. Thank you!
5 gallon glue on the roof??? Did yiu use it undiluted?
Yes:(
I own a sign shop and havepretty good taste. I see jr. high kid graphic layouts alot. They put their beret on sideways... I call them Wonder Signs. Stevie Wonder's shop.
What kind of mpg you get out of haulin that thing?
12 mpg at 65. 10.7 at 75
Perhaps one of the best videos to learn how to ride on a single wheel
Now that I see a guy my age get one and and do well riding, I think try it out myself looks fun..
Now I have a inmotion v11 also. The v5f was good to learn on but I out grew it quickly
On a “baby bed” none the less 😂 well done! Love my crew cab really miss 6.5 and 8’ beds
You guys that think you can spot paint a ceiling, goodluck unless its a brandnew one
Hello. What is the dry weight of your camper ??
About 1100 pounds
@robertcox2335 that's damned impressive.
Your video is perfect. Short concise description and no annoying music.
Thanks
Nice project!
Im thinking of getting a used one of these as my first wheel, are you still enjoying the wheel, has it given you any issues?
I have just upgraded to a V11. The v5f was a great wheel to learn on but I kept running up against the 15 mph top speed, if I had it to do over I might go with a v8 with a little more speed. I am just getting used to the v11 and it is a different animal because it is so much heavier and takes so much more effort turn, accelerate and stop. So I am glad I started with a smaller wheel. If you can pick up a used one at a reasonable price go for it..l have had no problem at all with the v5f.
Thank you!
Most helpful video ever thank sir
Thanks for checking it out. Good luck with your project
Did you use the same transmission front the 216 would it fit
very smart ideas nice to see another post from you, I like to use the propane as well like you said because of the speed, how is the camper holding up is there anything you would have changed thinking back on it now?
Thanks for the comment. The camper has worked out well. we like the space inside but it is also large and boxy outside so I think I would try to make it more streamlined also we need a more complete bathroom with a shower and black tank. But we like it so much that I don’t know if I will build another one
What did you use to waterproof the walls and the roof?
How many hours did it take to build, with making the plan, getting materials and doing the labor part?
6 months on and off. Made up the plan as I went along probably 20 trips to the store.
Looks really nice. Thanks for sharing.
Wonder! I am also very interested in acquiring and learning to ride this 'thing'. And you walked reasonably well on the second day of training. Thanks for sharing.
It’s great fun. I am wanting a bigger one now maybe a v11
How much weight does the cabover part hold?
Two people, queen size mattress and luggage no problem
Wow! Looks real handsome!
Thanks
This is one of the nicest build I seen in RUclips!aif I was to build this my own I would extend it a few foot to the rear to have toilet/shower.
Thanks. I later build a larger one. Check out the other videos on my channel
Impressive, would be great to know what adhesives you used for the styrofoam to wood and then for the sheathing to the styrofoam on the outside and how you applied it, any product info and technique would be appreciated, many thanks!
Styrofoam to wood with great stuff and titebond II to glue sheathing to foam
