Dough:
250ml Milk
2 tablespoons Margarine
2 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 tablespoon Salt
1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
500g All-purpose Flour
Filling:
500g Mozzarella Cheese
200g Reduced Cream
1 cup Chopped Parsley
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
Warm the milk until it's lukewarm.
Combine the warm milk, margarine, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir until the margarine is melted.
Add the active dry yeast to the mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes, allowing the yeast to activate.
Gradually add the flour, kneading the dough until it's smooth and elastic.
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Very good recipe.
Coxinha cheese filling is made of requeijão (catupiry), a Brazilian kind of cream cheese with stronger taste. Great idea to emulate this by adding parmesan to American cream cheese. BTW... Coxinha means "little dreamstick". That's why it must be rolled in this format.

Hi, I did not. The dough gets a really nice golden-brown colour from the recipe itself. 😊
Can i make the dough a day before and put it in the fridge. Or does it have to be made fresh when making them?
Hi Sara, I would suggest preparing the coxinhas completely and then freezing them. This way, you can enjoy them anytime you want without going through the entire preparation process again. Feel free to let me know if you need any more help with the recipe.
