@@user-qz1gr1bf1b thank you and hope your day is going good
It’s awesome to see you mod those little guys it looks like a headache well done again!
@@brycestewart9493 it actually was not bad at all to mod this little muffler. The 570/575/576 and the 562 is the real pain in the butt
Hey hey !
Evening sunbear. That saw looks great and sounds good, cuts great. You and family have a blessed day tomorrow 🙏 🙌 ✨️ 🦅🦅🦅☺️
@@user-qz1gr1bf1b thank you
The aluminum saw dust from machine work was not cleaned out. I think the screw holes for the cylinder were tapped after the case halves were assembled and the shavings left.
@@richarddodds9326 dang that doesn’t sound good. After having both a NeoTec and the Holzfforma I would say that I rate the Holzfforma’s a shade better in quality.
I got 892 and it runs good and got to get some stihl parts. The screws are soft and will strip some of the plastic too. The 1'st time it was working hard the compression release button got soft and the valve dropped in and dented the piston and cylinder on the top ring and had to scrape the bump out of the ring groove to free the ring, got new valve, it's ok and discovered saw dust lightly scratch the bore. Not very much. I open muffler and turn H screw in 1/4 turn and it is very powerful. Got 3/4 wrap handle 36 bar, the chain had busted side link and I fixed it and got 24 stihl bar and chain too. The chain adjuster is junk.
@@richarddodds9326 yeah there is some little thing that you definitely need to replace on a lot of the clone saws. Nice to hear the you saved the piston after dropping the decomp in the cylinder. Stihl definitely has a bed design on that one. The Husqvarna design is much better on must of there saws. Thanks for watching my video
Great job as always that’s a fast saw ! You running a 25” ?
@@brycestewart9493 no, gentleman that has this saw sent it along with a 20” bar. It needs a 28 at least. Thanks
@@sunbear1973 ya those run the big bars easy
Sounds like the full comp don’t like to do plunge cuts lol but we’ll done I’m not the only one fixing them old saws ! Great work Bear as a always !
Yeah that chain is a little aggressive on the rackers. Thank you 😁
The high sounds too rich, the low as well a tadd
@@crowtubecrozier2857 oh it is and I had no more adjustment on the high jet. So will have to take the carb off and see what is going on with it.
Not going to help. There's actual engineering that needs to go into dimple size, placement, and such also requires ceramic coating to help with the heat management
Is there a patent on this technology? 🤔
@@noelcasley4512 maybe. I think that the company Speed of Air, does have something along the lines of a patent on their stuff.
Sounds like you are having fun 😁 😂 enjoy my friend. 😉🦅🦅🦅🤗
Evening sunbear, that 038 saw looks pretty clean compared to my neighbor down the road. Was a old husky, with 3/4 inch of oil and sawdust on the outside. Muffler had a big rusty hole 🕳 in front. Took me two days to get it clean. Couldn't hardly see the carburetor and air filter was totally packed with sawdust. What the fish. People really don't take care of there equipment 😮 very sad. What results are you attempting to receive?
@@TheRitchieLeeShow there is a couple. One - to see if it will hold up, two - try and notice any performance improvements, three - see if it will burn the fuel clean and get longer run time per tank. But since I don’t have the technology behind my ideas, like Speed of Air company, it is just something to experiment with 🤙🤣
@@sunbear1973 I'm going to do the same thing for the same reasons .

@@user-qz1gr1bf1b thank you and you have a good evening as well 👍
It did seems like it was starving for fuel. I wonder if you fuel tank breather is blocked ?
@@mikewasowski1411 it could be that. When I get some more time I will be checking on that and another commented that it also could be the coil. At this point it’s pretty much a full aftermarket saw build and even though everything is new I could be having faulty parts. Thanks for the suggestion and area to look at
Yes the turd bench
I bet it doesn't have much in a 24in log. Seems to need that sweet spot in higher rpms to cut! When you hit the throttle from idle its not snappy. Jmo!
@@tedneitzel It feels better now that I changed out the 54mm big bore kit and put a 7300 cylinder on it. For some reason it did not have the compression like the smaller 52mm or 50mm cylinders. In the next couple of weeks I will be getting out in the woods to cut some bigger stuff for testing some of my latest builds
@@sunbear1973 if your doing aftermarket stuff you never gain anything unless it's ported. It's just not oem quality.
@@tedneitzel that 54mm big bore was aftermarket but that 7300 kit is a new OEM, so it was much nicer on quality. The only thing with that one was I believe for a cutoff saw and I had do a good amount of modifications to it. It should be a good experiment 😁
👍👍🙏🙏
It's kinda like me, start up and the heat wave hits again today I peter out. Was my b-day yesterday 70 just trying to stay cool 😎 we coastal natives really aren't used to high heat waves. You get that saw figured out, patience my friend. Enjoy the day. 😊🦅🦅🦅😉
@@user-qz1gr1bf1b 😆, happy belated birthday and yes stay cool
Do you have an extra known good working coil? Perfect symptoms of a bad coil.
@@IndianaDoug that’s a good point and I think that do have one to around. Thanks for the tip to look at.
A few months ago I had a 445 for a repair. The coil was bad. It was giving a spark, but on some strange timing - cold startup was always with a loud POP (detonation) and then almost no power in the cut. With new coil I got power in the cut, but I could not get rid of the detonation on startup. Did the same light mods as you showed here (muffler mod and removal of that plastic cover from intake). I also slightly bent the connecting rod that goes from carburetor to the butterfly for pure air intake. My reasoning here was to try to give the engine more mixed fuel and air, and a little less pure air. Did not do the timed comparison of cuts, but my feeling was that the saw then had more power (torque) in the cut.
@@homopit42 that’s a good ideal on the throttle connecting rod and I did not even think of that. I do think that the small amount of timing advancement helps it out and feeling a little stronger from it. I only filed away about a third of the key in the flywheel.
Afternoon sunbear. I have no clue, I do just easy maintenance. So I guess you on your own. Haha 😄 🤣 😂 🦅🦅🦅🫠😉

Hello sunbear, 👋 I have a few husqvarna saws, don't use them much. Echos have come a long way. Bought a cs 4910 from Charles Brisco last year and man dose it rip. I still collect other saws. Nice 445 you worked 💪 on. You and family have a safe 4th. 😉🦅🦅🦅☺️
@@user-qz1gr1bf1b happy 4th to you. That Brisco 4910 must be a fun saw. 👍
On the blade is that a skip a tooth chain and what degree do you sharpen your chain bc it cuts like butter
@@Andrew-tx8gh yes that was skip tooth chain and I was pretty much keeping it at the factory angle. I believe that it was an Archer chain that I have put a fill on it twice know and made sure that the rakers are set around .030 depth.
How did you get the muffler apart. I tried to pull apart but no budge. Any ideas?
@@johncucinella1954 I was able to use a flat head screwdriver and work it apart. I did notice that Stihl use some kind of sealant on the seams. If you had a heat gun or hair dryer I would try that by heating up the edges and see if that sealant gets playable to pry apart.
Mantap mesin nya bro
Pretty snappy for a concrete saw top end hahaha nice bro love it
Thank you and I probably will have fun with it 😉
@@sunbear1973 you know you will ! Hahaha #racesaw !
It sounds like it's got a low down bog, I've not ported any of mine yet, but with pipped can, they are snappier than that one. what numbers did you end up with?🤔
Yeah it seemed to have that and I still need to play with the carb adjustments a little. Hopefully that is where its at. I did get in to that original muffler and remove the baffling and it now has around a 3/4" exit hole form that. The numbers ended up at Ex-99, Tr-120, and Int-76. I probably could have given it just a little more intake like around 78-79.
Hi sunbear, dolmar looking good and sounds good 👍 👌 cuts pretty fast 😮😊🦅🦅🦅😉

@@user-qz1gr1bf1b I think that it’s worth doing but right after putting it on and going thought the tuning this little bugger seized up on me. I don’t think that it was the carb since it seemed to be running rich during the tuning. 🤷♂️
