    Love this! But, where's the pool? LOL I totally agree different strokes for different folks. I think a projector TV would be easier though. But if you're in a campground I assume the toilet is for night time only?? Also I didn't see a way to wash dishes. How does your son sleep on that couch?

    • @outdoormary
      @outdoormary 13 часов назад

      I would like to get a projector soon, that'd be nice! And yes, we mostly used the toilet for late night bathroom needs. For that trip we chose to just use paper plates, but we do have a large tub we can use for dish washing when needed, it has two sides, just like a double sink. And that Intex couch folds out to a queen size bed, and both kids were able to sleep on either side once folded out.

      @outdoormary 11 дней назад

      @@user-mo4qs3vs8c , you are certainly entitled to your opinion, I respect that. But no, I wasn’t going to just stay home. The entire goal of this is to not stay home! The whole point of this was to facilitate being able to visit Zion National Park, while still feeling as comfortable as WE wanted to be. Remember, everyone has to do whatever is comfortable for them. Different strokes for different folks. My family and I had wanted to go to Zion for awhile, but I could not reasonably spend upwards of 349$ per night for lodging. We used to spend thousands of dollars per week staying in expensive AirBNB for vacation, but we are not in a position to do that anymore, but we still want to enjoy vacations, and this tent made it affordable & financially responsible for us to do so, as the campground was only 30$ per night. The objective isn’t to camp, the objective is to vacation in an affordable yet comfortable way to our standards.

    I saw a video of a guy with no roof rails create tie down capabilities by running a tie down strap across the top of the car and fastened the ends together inside near the ceiling. The doors shut fine. Then you can fasten bungies to it that are clipped to the tent loops. Bungies and magnets can do the rest. The wheels are a good place to hook on to. That method works for adding a tarp for a awning. If things don’t seem to reach you can add cord through the tent loops and all the way to another safe place to hook on the car. When you look under your car you’ll see there are many places to hook a bungie to.

    Think it would have worked out better if the lift gait was open before you anchored it. That's a real good sized tent! I'd be in the same situation as you as I'd be camping alone with no help to put it up. A plus is none of the other car tents I've seen have that piece that will close off the tent if you drive away from your campsite during the day. The doors are massive and screened so it should have adequate ventilation. And the sidewalls are all window so if you leave the rain guard off that's a ton of ventilation!

      @@jbird9357 , thanks for the feedback! This tent definitely is spacious, especially for a SUV tent. And I certainly can’t beat the price. I’m sure I’ll get faster with each setup too.

      @@outdoormary I'm excited! Want to start traveling in my Equinox. The fact that you did it alone gives me confidence I can do that also. Did you contact Ozark trails about directions?

    Were the directions sewn to the carry bag? My OT products have them printed on fabric that is sewn in to an outer pocket on the bag.

      @@maryjomccallister9102 , that’s what I was expecting too, my other OT tents have the instructions printed inside as you stated, but for some reason this tent doesn’t, just some warning labels. Luckily it was pretty straightforward to figure out what poles went where though.

    The clips work good also, those fabric tunnels always make me bite my lip so not to cuss. Sorry to see Ozark Mountain didn’t put the clip action on there. They do have it on some of their tents.
