Only things I want to mention is that the spa area is like a Japanese onsen. More so then florida lol. Also, adding to your point. They added weather effects and abilities. And castform. But yeah totally agree. Especially compared to gold and silver. What a massive jump in quality. Only comparison to me, is the jump to legends arceus.

We need a remake that includes this style of graphics. Gen1-gen3, which would give us updated graphics to gen2, but all 3 regions in one. Again I’m stressing gen1-gen3 all in one game with these graphics.

12:10 first clip on the left looks like the area just outside of Lilycove city. Slightly forward and then down. Clip on the right looks to be between mossdeep and sootopolis. I believe that was the start of the underground crevice that leads to Kyogre's lair. Or it was the area around sootopolis.

I started with gen 1 games, and gen 3 games are my favorite too. Although I prefer fire red over the others. But Hoenn is my favorite region in the series. It has a lot of unique towns for sure. My favorite as a kid and today is Pacifidlog Town. A whole town just floating on the water is so cool.

Easy answer: Because its the last canonical region

Yeah I agree. I think ORAS are legitimately the best Pokemon entries. I know a lot of people cite HGSS, which I think is a close call, but still. Emerald introducing the entire Battle Frontier with the additions of the Frontier Brains is also a highlight. I think Mossdeep is fantastic and underrated.

especially compared to Sinnoh. Sinnoh is like "here you have another route with default grass textures,some fences and a small pool of water. and the ones that are the most special, the snow and mud routes, are just a painful gameplay experience. And dont get me started on all the caves that look exactly the same

Gen 3 Hoenn is just a masterpiece. The design, the variety, the music, the colors, etc. I have been playing since 2005 and I still love playing it to this day

I like how there’s an NPC in the market that talks about how a port leads to a market which leads to a city. Really gives the whole region a feeling of history and community.

Gen 3 was when I started aging out of Pokémon, but I did play it and man did they nail it. I don’t have many memories of it since I wasn’t too into it but I do remember the ash falling on the ground and stuff like that.

Great video bro. Favorite song is end credits piano music after beating E4. Just sends me back to my boi Swampert. My first and only Pokémon I leveled naturally to 100. Emerald is the longest I played into the endgame. So much emotion, so much nostalgia. Man I miss being 10 when this game was brand new… hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago…

So true! Slateport city is just awesome. There are so many places in gen 3 that are memorable, and it was so lively and bursting with colors. Some of the most hidden secrets in all of pokemon gens. And, like most pokemon games, with this one maybe the most of all of them, I felt, when I finshed it, that it was just too short. Countles hours invested in those games when I was a kid. With no internet guides and youtube walktroughs or serebii and bulbapedia. Such blisful times.

i've always felt that the 16 bit graphics look for gen 3 was a defining look for the pokemon series. the games peaked visually with RSE in a way that i dont think the games ever will again

I just came here to say that Hoenn is the best region purely because I'm biased and I don't care what anyone thinks about it.

I grew up round blue red there forest seas mountains. We had pewter city who paved the way for all muciems. We have a power plant ice cave and victory road to get legendary pokemon. Mewtwo was final boss, with out this game there no polemon
