THANK YOU!! 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid. Did exactly as you did, minus pulling the bolt out. Bought the same exact part you recommended, worked perfectly!! I used a small piece of tape on the end of a very small screwdriver to (hold the bumper part) and insert through first opening, then once partially inserted and barely set into the brake Pedal part, i pulled the small screwdriver out and inserted a slightly larger to set in place, cause I couldn't get enough push leverage on the smaller one. Once it popped in place and brake switch reinstalled, worked like a charm. you saved me a lots of money if brought to mechanic, and saved me tons of time, trying to figure this one out. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

I'm changing the alternator on my son's 2019 Corolla LE. I went through quite a few videos before I found yours. This was the best step-by-step demonstration of all of them. You are correct the alternator for this car is expensive. It was like $400 after the core return. It is the Valeo. The auto part stores couldn't be sure of which replacement was correct without seeing the sticker off of the bad alternator.

You saved me today! I came out to my fusion hybrid and noticed the brake lights were on. Mine is a 2014 so instead of a T50 it was a 13mm bolt to adjust the brake pedal travel. Got the same nissan dorman pin from oriellys and everything was fixed for $5.

So it's made to eventually fail smh.. Amazing video. Much appreciated

Toyota should issue a recall about this. It's a bad design. Every Toyota model with electronic power steering has this problem

bro y u take the steering wheel off, there are 4 main bolts, after you disconnected all the column wiring, and the unit lowers ???other vids show a much shorter trip?

Just a heads up fellas. If you remove the cluster, you can do this from the top and not even touch the column and mess with all that. All you need to remove is the 2 12's and the 10 for the motor. Lift motor out of the way, vacuum the old debris out, install the two new damper parts and reinstall motor. 30 minutes tops. OEM part numbers: 45253-28130 and 45254-28040, one each, you're welcome. ;p Reply

I did this with one hand as well. Guys, if you do this make sure you press the brake pedal when putting in the new switch. Press down on the new switch and turn it to the right so it locks into place. Don't just put the new switch in and lock it in. That little nub at the end of the switch has to be pressed in when the brake pedal is all the way up, or your brake lights will remain on and drain your battery.
