Добавлен 17 фев 2020
My name is Wolf, and I love to travel. I spend most of my time in the New England region of the United States. I travel in my micro camper built out of a Mercury Mountaineer SUV I call the Wolfeneer. I also usually take along my three wheeled scooter, the Piaggio MP3. Come along with me for an adventure!
Cabin Adventure - Testing A Mini Air Fryer For My Campervan - New England VanLife
I picked up an inexpensive (and very cheaply built) air fryer for my van. It only draws 700 watts, so it should be a light load on my batteries once I get a power inverter than can handle it. I test is out on my first night back at the cabins at Mohawk Trail State Forest in Charlemont, Massachsetts
My name is Wolf, and I am a solo adventurer. Most of my adventures are part time VanLife trips in and around New England in my Ford Econoline, Wolf Van Jack.

Normally I would do this by the fire pit, but it was too cold to be hanging out outside. So I decided to try making roasted chicken in my portable Coleman Camping oven in the middle of January. I wasn't even sure at 16 degrees Fahrenheit, I would be able to get the oven hot enough. My name is Wolf, and I am a solo adventurer. I came down with a cold as I was starting my last adventure of 2024. I woke up with a bad sore throat, but I still needed to get out of the van. Since it was peak hunting season, I needed to wear my blaze orange. I then went and explored some off the beaten path areas, finding the remains of a bridge and a vehicle. Congrats on the RUclips check, that's excellent !
Nice job, Mr. Wolf! Awesome pick! Cheers from VT.
Congrats on making money with the channel, and I hope the van is easily fixed.
I debated that same spot for a solo overnight, but for non-Mass residents its much too expensive. Sounds like that air fryer will get some good use!
Wonderful video Wolf. I always watch the ads because I know it helps. Good to know you got your first check...I'm happy for you. I remember that cabin from last year. It's nice that they are available during the winter. You have a nice setup and sleeping up high is the warmest spot...but a little tough if nature calls in the middle of the night. It's unfortunate that the knob was broken on the air fryer. I got a small one in the clearance aisle at Walmart last year for $15. It's a little bigger than yours and 1150 watts. I wish mine had lower wattage. Once you get the hang of it, it makes cooking so much easier. I love mine. I hope the transmission on the van is okay, and that it's something minor. I really enjoy your videos. We tried to make a reservation at Harold Parker for the weekend of May 9 but it seems like the MA state parks website is screwed up and we've been unable to book anything anywhere. I don't know what's going on with it. Anyways, it was good to see you again. Safe travels Wolf! 👍😁
Nice job, Wolf. Accolades on the RUclips status. You work really hard on these videos. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Nice spot 😊 I like the mini air fryer too, great for camping.
I use ketchup except I put it on the side
Your From Massachusetts.. like me.. Haddock is the best ocean fish ..😊
nice video bro
Love your vids. The outtakes at the end were great 😂!
Another fine camp meal. I was waiting for a hungry bear to show up and help you eat it.
You make some excellent camp meals Wolf. Hey, when I watch your videos on TV there are no commercials, but when I watch on my phone there is one at the beginning. I thought once you are monetized you get commercials. Just wondering so I can watch the commercials to help with your income. Nice video. Stay warm in this crazy deep freeze. Safe travels Wolf.👍😁
I'm seriously impressed with the Coleman oven! 👏 'Wolf's Kitchen' put my dinner to shame tonight. 😂 Take care Wolf
It's like a five star restaurant! 😁 Looking forward to learning more about ham radio. Thanks for the video. Stay warm!
Hi there! Miss seeing your videos! Glad you're camping again. Love to watch what your going to cook.
If you have enough fuel
Love your videos, been to a lot of the places you've gone.
Another great adventure, Mr. Wolf!
very cool ... adventure ✌👵
Beautiful snowy hike - thanks Wolf!
nice video Wolf thanks for taking us along
The next time I'm at a Ranger station, I'm going to ask if anyone knows anything about the Kancamagus Bench Mark. I was in Lincoln/ Woodstock today with my brother and thought of you as we passed Hancock Campground. 👍 We hit Lincoln Woods and the cable bridge, then checked off a bucket list item and went to the Ice Castles in Woodstock. I love my home state of Maine, but there's something magical about the WMNF area that's kept me coming back for 40 years. Never stop exploring Wolf. ✌️
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing such beautiful winter scenery on such a chilly day. I enjoyed going along for the hike. Wonderful video! Safe travels Wolf! 👍😁
Thanks Marilyn! It was a chilly, but fun hike. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Wolf, you got some beautiful shots! Enjoyed the exploration hike. Thanks for the video
Thanks Michele!
First
Nice, you got out camping again! And you fixed your blinker, great job. See you next time 😊
I'm going to have to buy some perogies and try them. Thanks for the winter camping trip!.
They are great! I had the fully loaded pierogies.
Just wondering what cabin number is this
That is cabin #6
Nice work troubleshooting the blinker issue. 👍 In a perfect world, a free spirit should be able to flourish like anyone else. I sincerely hope the employment situation works out in your favor, Wolf. ✌️
Thanks Rick, I have faith something will work out.
Hope you enjoyed your trip. Way too cold for me! I'm looking forward to MUCH warmer weather. Can't wait till Spring! Safe travels Wolf! 👍😁
I'm looking forward to pulling out my snowshoes! :)
Cheers Wolf! Glad you’ve been out and about enjoying life. Until next time.
I'm so glad to be on the road again!
Always something uhh
It certainly is. More to come in a future video on that topic...
You were using the summer grade blinker fluid. Get the winter grade with the anti gelling agent in it.
Some people travel all over and go from temporary job to temporary job saving money along the way. Check Vermont and Maine for clients. Then you still could have weekend adventures while still living in your van.
I would love to be one of those vanlifers that go to different seasonal jobs. Maybe someday, but right now I have obligations keeping me in the Boston area. I have had way up north however, I've done network installs for a motel up by Moosehead Lake in Maine.
There are so many trails on the Kancamagus Highway. There is a book that I bought at the Lincoln NH visitors center off exit 32. Have you hiked Lincoln Woods?
I spend a lot of time at Lincoln Woods, as it is right at Hancock Campground. I've hikes both sides of the East Branch pemi to the edge of the pemi wilderness.
Happy New Year Wolf. I hope your new situation becomes a new opportunity.
Did you consider two half doors for your closet? not as much clearance required.
That's an interesting option. I'll have to take some measurements. Thanks!
A Root Beer review channel? Something I've never seen. Might be a first. Who doesn't like root beer?
You never know, it could be possible. LOL
Looking forward to your trips!
Happy new year wolf!! 😊😊
Good to see that you got a chance to get away and go camping again. I can't wait to go camping again. I am so looking forward to it this year. Happy camping Wolf! Safe travels! 👍😁
It's always a lot of fun, and maybe we will even cross paths this year.
@LoneWanderingWolf I hope so! 😁👍
Shorts are good. I like watching the sandwich girl. In each short, she makes a sandwich. I think she used to, or still does, work in a restaurant.
Good seeing you back in the saddle. Thanks for the snowing camping trip!
Best advice ever . Be Kind❤🇺🇲
What about a sliding door?
Maybe, but then it needs room to slide into. Plus the mechanics of it are more complicated. One think I know about myself, the less I complicate a project, the more likely I am to finish it. LOL
Di you ever think of camping in southeastern MA? There are some nice campgrounds there!
I've considered it. I live North of Boston, and I hate the traffic in that direction, but you are right, there are some really nice places to visit out that way. So maybe this year.
Lobe the new pot and kettle! Yay..your back!
Yeah!! Wolf is on the road again! I always travel with a root beer just in case I run into you and if I don't, I crack it before I leave and give toast to you directing me to so many awesome campgrounds! Looking forward to the closet build and all of your adventures of 2025!
Well, I hope I run into you this year then. Haha. Thanks Michele!
Can’t believe you are camping already! Good for you😊 How about coming up to Coleman State Park in Stewartstown, NH in May or June? Come check it out! A lot of snow up here now though and it’s closed. Have a great week.
I'm out whenever I can. The only time of year I don't camp is between Thanksgiving and New Years. Too much going on with the family, etc. Outside of that, I'm on the road every chance I get. As for Coleman State Park, the cabins are open all winter, I might just grab one for a couple nights this winter if I can afford it.
@ That’s great! Let us know if you do come up to Coleman as we don’t live far, just down the road and across the street. We would love to meet you😊
