Libby Loggers (Montana's Best Episode 21)
If you ask a Montana local what they know about Libby, Montana they will mostly say, "Logging". The Libby Loggers slogan has been around for decades due to the logging boom that took place in the early 1900's. The logging community was one of the largest logging communities in the United States and was an example how to log sustainably. Transporting the large volumes of lumber across the country was effective due to the existence of the railroad, the river, and roadways.

Montana's Best TV 60 Second Promo Video
It’s an “ancient” (6-7k years) “seabed” plain evidence of the flood. If not, where did the water go?? Go kid your grandma.
You should do a video showcasing every county and res in Montana.
You guys have a serious Montana accent. Donno if anyone noticed that.
Farmer Dan is the best!
mother in law for Christmas...lol
Looks better than when I spent my teenage years in Libby in the 1970s. Love to visit, again! Good to Libby in video :)
Go to their annual International Chainsaw Competition...first week in September.
Chico is a going concern these days. Livingston has been discovered. Back in the mid/ early 1960s, Chico was just a shadow of its former glory. The plunge was the main attraction and the bar and a delicious burger. Then the whole place changed hands, the new owners saw the times changing for a money making investment. The rest is history. One can bring their camper/trailer there for a healthy fee and relax for a week or two. BTW, the plunge was covered until the roof collapsed in 1957, never to be replaced. A lot of fun being in the hot water during a blizzard in the winter. 😅
You guys do such a wonderful job highlighting the beautiful state of Montana. Thank you
One of my favorite episodes yet!
good to hear
👍
I've been there. It's a must visit. Such a cool town surrounded by beauty. You all nailed it Montana's best.
Gonna have to visit this town soon. Absolutely stunning.
Wow, never heard of this town until now. Might add to our RV trip next year.
😍😍😍
Men's retreat here we come!
Seriously!
That is beautiful!
Awesome work as always! Makes me want to go there.
That was a lot of fun and super interesting.
Fantastic episode!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love this so much
❤❤❤❤
Whoah never knew Libby's logging history...and those carvings.
This is awesome!!! Cannot believe all the amazing art.... great episode!!!!
Little Pink Hat. MARRIAGE ETERNITY. My ALPHA Bloody or IRON. I LOVE KITTENS.
My Great Great Grandfather George Macmillan founded the town of Roundup. My family has a lot of info to give to the historical society and I have spoken with the Director. They are aware he is and have a plaque above the door, but don’t have much information about him.
We love hearing about this!
awee yes, animal abuse left over from the 1800s
Wow! Spectacular views, history, and that bridge looks so fun. You had me at "[Mother's Viewing room] at a theater..all theaters need this" until watching this show, I have only passed through Libby with no information of reasons why to visit. My neighbors down south travel to Libby each year to fish and always revel about how amazing Libby is, but until now I was not convinced to add it to my list. I'm now excited to actually go, visit, camp or stay at one of the iconic acomodations. I suppose a video is worth a thousand words. I would have been up at that theater all 2020 and before when I felt like theaters were a no go for those with children. On the business side, for those looking for a unique experience for teambuilding, or clientele, or Corporate CE groups- I'll pass any day on traveling to Whitefish, Great Falls, Billings, Dallas, Seattle, or Las Vegas. Can we please just book CE in Libby. Love this show. I actually got youtube premium so I could play this show scroll on repeat at our corporate office. No commercials and no creepy ads and no awkward jokes. Host is poised, informed, easy to listen to, music mixed in is ambient and soothing for our corporate office.
Thank you for sharing!
Hey Julie! Good to see ya! Great tour of Libby!
Thank you for watching.
WOW I need to check out that swinging bridge!
It's worth it.
Great video!
Thank you!
While im sober many years this was a great town on Saturday nights!!!!!!!!!!!😅😅😅😅
I left right in time I was there right before it flooded
Just came across this video and have to commend the creators for capturing the experience of a dinosaur dig. My family and I had an excellent two-day dig with Shana on her land during of summer of ‘21. It’s a surreal landscape under the open sky where you don’t know what time-capsule awaits around the corner - but be assured that you will find fossils! Once you begin to recognize the telltale colors and textures, scanning the ground becomes almost meditative. During our two days, we found a variety of alligator teeth, dozens of unidentifiable marrow pieces, and a likely foot bone. But the biggest surprise my 10-year old unearthed from the gumbo was a partial triceratops brow horn - a massive fossil that took several hours to delicately remove and cast. It has since been mounted and proudly displayed in our home, soon to be donated to a local school. Hoping for a return trip in the future.
Thank you for sharing
Asbestos county
not anymore
That's interesting. I ❤ trains, trams, take a ride, I have a folder on ''transportation'' (folder 2, in playlists) you will love them too :)
I went there on a field trip when I went to Jim Darcy school in the 90's
Remembering Bob Gohn. 1:12
I only see videos of a bunch of people with a chisel and hammer carving bones out of rock
Show me an excavation from beginning to end
Does it have an interchangeable bar?
406 Americana...there's a fabulous red barn, coming from Ennis, to 4 corners!
Fake
I was in the parade
Why aren't finders of pieces of carnivorous dinosaurs allowed to keep what they find? Is it because the pieces yield too much potential amounts of money?
Looks like fun!
It is sad shipping fossils found in us to other countries.
Virginia City is a total original
Top 3 favorite episode
Absolutely loved Rodeley's accent! Did not expect that.
