Просмотров 1,9 тыс.Год назад
I recommend a review of PART 1 of this DMR series before viewing the setup in PART 2, especially if you are a newcomer to crossmode operation. The video covers a detailed setup of the openSPOT 4 PRO hotspot and specifically the Anytone D878 DMR radio for crossmode operation. The principles also apply to other DMR radios.

Meyer Family Video

My dad, Julien Meyer (1912-1997), captured the early days of the Meyer family activities from about 1941 to 1966 on 8 mm film. Some of the videos are about 81 years old. I sorted, edited, digitized, captioned, and integrated his many reels into one video in 2021. Note: There is NO Audio.
The Bunny Story
Просмотров 3013 года назад
My dad (Julien Meyer) was a very creative man who taught 6th grade at the southside Elementary School in Benson, MN, for several years. I was not in his class as he did not want any appearance of family favoritism toward his son; however, he created a video story about a Rabbit seeking adventure. He assigned class members as actors and filmed the whole thing on 8 mm film in about 1947.

So, what is to prevent someone, for example, from the west coast, using their own W6 call sign (with NO portable identifier), and while connected to a remote station in Maine, proceed to work Mount Athos, and apply for DXCC credit for the QSO against their home call (again, with no portable identifier)? This is CHEATING! And I KNOW that there are hams that are doing this! And these remote control operations are promoting this kind of behavior! I looked at the terms of service agreement, and the operator is supposed to agree to create a 2nd station location for purposes of LoTW QSL applications during remote operations. It's just an honor system. Yeah, right! I highly DOUBT that anyone actually does that. I have worked over 300 DXCC countries with my little 2 el trapped yagi at 33 feet and a vertical from my home QTH. I have missed MANY new ones, but my ethics would NEVER allow me to use a remote station and cheat like that. I am PROUD to have accomplished this entirely from my own home station without any kind of cheating by using remote operations. These remote operations have cheapened the once honorable DXCC program.
The prevention is the password protection that is required when signing into the VNC server. No one can use the station unless they are given the password. I use my station strictly for my own use. I agree with you totally on the ethics as you describe them. I don't know if there are any open remote stations, at least I have not run across any. Congratulations on the 300 DXCC, a great accomplishment. I have been in ham radio since 1951 and worked about 190 countries myself in just the last few years. Operators setting up remote stations should not give out passwords without knowing who will be using their station. Thanks for your comments.
veery good

I interviewed for a Calibration job at a major pharmaceutical company. They offered me a lot of money. Didn't have the certification. I'll be getting it asap
Trapperjohn1000 about how much do they pay a pharmaceutical tech
I you are talking about a calibration job in the pharmaceutical industry check out the website at www1.salary.com/Calibration-Technician-I-Salaries.html . You can also google "Salary calibration technician" for some other sites. They state the figures as of March 31, 2017, with a range usually between $41,131-$52,839. This varies with regions, backgrounds, etc. If you are talking about a pharmacy technician, the salary is much less.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS VIDEO
thanks God for this video
