[ATC AUDIO] Prime Air 767 CRASH in Houston #5Y3591

A Boeing 767 registration N1217A which crashed in Trinity Bay southeast of Houston. There were 3 people on board the cargo aircraft, operated by Atlas Air on behalf of Amazon's Prime Air service, from Miami to Houston. The flight left Miami earlier that morning at approximately 11:30am local time. Audio courtesy of www.liveatc.net #5Y3591
There should be a mandatory prison sentence of 5 years for flying a drone near an airport. No excuses.
The way they know each other like be down the pub could only happen in ireland, congrats eamonn up the Irish.
Even aliens spaceships crash.
So they have drone detecting radar and this cant spot it but two guys, one in a plane doing 250mph and another in a truck. given the "drone was at 200' and was clearly not close to the guy on the ground i am calling bullshit
40 years?! Incredible career! Enjoy your retirement sir!
If all of us were so fortunate to have that storied of a career!
there is this magical $700 device called a GPS which sits on the dash... which is meant to save lives. and is never utilized. It has synthetic vision, and a bunch of other cool stuff which when confronted with weird boeing avionics issues, you can use it. but such an amazing device is not allowed to be onboard airliners or other airplanes due to regs. also this pilot threw a tantrum and made up a random excuse to shove the nose down out of frustration, but at the same time desired to commit suicide. so yes its a suicide.
lol not a suicide
Ah, this is very sad, but also an occasion for Eamonn to celebrate a long and important career.
This is what happens when you prioritize diversity over aptitude.
Who was the first officer the one speaking before departure of the one speaking in the air
Thats my best friends dad hes one of thr soundest lads youll meet
Class ☘️
2:34 that's sad he knew that he was going down
Eamonn, still waiting to take you and Martina water flying in Sligo. Beats golf any day.
I think the cause of this one was diversity hiring practices
Update: Pilot Aska - first officer, caused the accident. Pilot Aska had a terrible training record and lied about his resume before getting hired on Atlas Air. (Hiding information of many test failures during training) Pilot Aska accidentally pulled a lever (TOGA) which made engines go at maximum capacity. Pilot Aska, got disoriented with low visibility, and desperately, without looking at dash instruments or consulting with the Captain, pulled the nose off the plane down. The Captain, quickly realized the plane was going down and tried to put the nose up, unable, due to pilot Aska still holding the stick down. When the plane got out of the clouds, Pilot Aska saw the terrible mistake, and pulled the nose up, but was too late. The plane struck the ground at an incredible amount of speed. Due to this incident the FAA will implement a new rule where all Air Lines must have all records of pilots training and carreer performance before hiring.
Wait that wasn't already a requirement???! Wtf??? So they could be hiring people who can't fly 😐
@@jonathanvandagriff7515 I would assume passenger pilots undergo additional training.
@@triple7marc you would assume wrong
Only in Ireland would you get this. He seemed to know all of the crew, and they knew him. Every aircraft including foreign, wishing him well.
Well said us Irish are a noisy bunch but very caring ☘️☘️☘️
"About 30 seconds prior to impact, as the aircraft descended through 6,300 feet headed to 3,000 feet, the flight data recorder indicated the go-around button was activated, possibly by the FO’s wrist while retracting the speedbrakes. The captain was distracted with other duties preparing for the approach. Activating the go-around button made the autopilot assume the crew wanted to climb and caused the command bars on the flight director to indicate the increase in nose pitch. Within a few seconds of the go-around mode’s activation, the first officer-believing the pitch up indicated the aircraft was stalling-shoved the control wheel forward. The NTSB says, “Within seconds of go-around mode activation, manual elevator control inputs overrode the autopilot and eventually forced the airplane into a steep dive from which the crew did not recover."
40 years of service. Enjoy your retirement!
Oh no my packages
On September 9, 2019, the family of first officer Conrad Jules Aska filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon and Atlas Air, citing improper training and negligence. HOW PATHETIC.. Aska was the problem...!
First Officer Conrad Jules Aska should of NEVER been flying with his sketchy record. Atlas Air must be desperate for pilots????
They are. I heard the pilots there are treated horrible
Exactly the first officers logic so dumb. yea we are stalling there is no warning but we are stalling let me just push the nose down allll the way down oh no I lost control ahhh we crashed how could that have happened
In the end of the video it says we should see in the coming days what the probable cause is. It is now been over seven months and I'll I've heard about it is the preliminary news reports. Why hasn't the data and cockpit voice recorder information been released? There seems to be some sort of cover up on this crash. I dont know if it's just because it was a cargo plane crash nobody cares, but 767s also transport passengers so I would think people would want to know the cause.
Pull out!!!!
Go raibh maith agat a chara!
Man, you don't see that kind of respect every day. Slán leat, sir!
Sounded like a GPWS “pull up” at 2:34
it is

One of my favorite things to do it drive out to the old airport road park up the car and listen to the air traffic control while the planes fly in and out. This has actually made me emotional. Enjoy retirement ☘️
All the best Éamonn. Will miss the jokes over frequency!

You can sense the respect in both directions in those exchanges. He oozed calm whenever you'd hear him on shift - and I'm not even a pilot! May he enjoy the retirement.
JuanJose16 From a flying and airplane ✈️ admirer who also doesn’t pilot, this was incredibly touching.
All the best for Your retirement, it's been a real pleasure working with You over these years!
Best of luck Eamonn. Anytime I listened to Dublin ATC and you were on, there was such a massive sense of professionalism and respect for you. I guess 40 years in the service will get you that.
