WW2 deep level shelter hidden under London
Really informative Phil, Been there myself with my little boat.Big learning learning curve!
you need a new hobby lol !
Think behind the green door was Fareham Borough Council's cold war nuclear bunker (all now cleared out). Have seen photos, the entrance was through a caravan parked near Beresfords MOT place at the fort.
Nice ❤
Looks like it turned out great
fukin burglars..wheres the police
Nice job. What paint did you use inside the cabin?
Hello mate not paint as such it's flow coat
Good night everyone l love your videos of you and your boat please keep it
Thank you for that comment I will very soon thanks again
Hi, found this series as im looking at a free cjr 14ft on facebook market place, i was wondering how many hours you think it took for the sanding, look forward to getting to the rest of the episodes, do you have an email i could possibly drop you some questions on? :)
Hello mate thanks for the comments and questions are always welcome if I answer them correctly is another question 😀 I do have a email if ur still in need
Do you have a vhf radio fitted with emergency button
No mate I don't it's still something I need to get I'm a tad crazy others call it stupid 🤪
What’s the blue filler that you used please
My mate made it up for me I'm sure it was polyester filler but maybe wrong give me a day or two and I will tell you 😉
Hi ya bruv, been watching your restoration videos and following the channel lately, I've got a boat that ive had for about 15 years now, i started restoring it again (for the second time🤦♂️) about 5 years ago and due to life commitments and the dreaded thought of all that time and sanding for the second time I abandoned it mid restoration, I'm thinking of taking the plunge with the old girl once again so I wondered what sander you borrowed from your pal ?? In the 15 years I've had it I've bought and killed about 10+ branded sanders so far 😂 .... Great job on the boat by the way mate it looked awesome once you finished it, keep up the great work and keep us updated with fishing trips etc in the future 👍
Cheers mate .dam thats a long time set urself little dead lines and meet them will see alot of progress that way and honestly mate that sander was a game changer juat make sure u keep it flat so easy to dig holes it was a mirka deros i was lucky enough to borrow one there not cheap anyway plenty more content to come thanks again
@anurbanhistory2975 it is mate, I've not touched it for about 4 and a half years so who knows what hidden nasties I'll find this time around but I'm keen to give it another go. Appreciate the advice and ill check out those sanders, I spent a small fortune on other branded ones in the first restoration process so if one will get the job done the second time around then it'll be worth it in the end. Much appreciated bud and looking forward to future videos 👍
Hiya mate I’m looking at getting a cjr 14ft. Don’t Spose you could give me some measurements of the inner cabin if possible. Can’t find them anywhere
Hello um yeah i could when i go down to her next im assuming u want to know if u can sit or sleep in there
Which town is this
Southampton uk mate
@@anurbanhistory2975 can you navigate from there to London ?
@@frixux not on rivers no this leads to southampton waters and out into the channel
Just goes to show you that money can't buy taste and that fat turd definitely has none.
Hi, really enjoying your videos I’m doing the exact same thing with a seahog. Thanks you’ve given me some good ideas, can you tell me where you bought the rub rail and what profile it was pleas did your mate 😂 struggle pulling it over the rivets? Cheers
Thanks mate glad your enjoying it I got the rub rail In Woolston southampton if your local I can send you address and I can't remember off the top of my head I just cut a old bit off and took with me and all the rivets were drilled out mate I done that then it's stuck on with sikaflex hope that helps 👍
That’s brilliant Thanks
Looking forward to new boat content 😊
Thanks John I really need to just been to busy I will get on it soon merry Christmas 🎅
Merry Christmas
My boy
Is that a 60 hp on this rib
Very interesting! I really enjoyed thos. Thank you!
i am the 1000th viewer
That's actually a Capri 140 same hull and ring deck buddy but not a cjr ,hence it was originally short shaft transom ,no rear bunks ,would of had a one piece molded floor and a different steering console .
That's really interesting I will definitely look into this I'm sure it's a cjr and I've got some good friends in the trade that confirm this but u also seem to know your boats I will look Into it thanks for your comment 😀
polly craft 4.8 meters samexeize
The Capri 14’, CJR and the Virgo 144 were very similar boats, I had the Virgo 144 which had a buoyancy tank under the outboard well, the CJR had buoyancy tanks along each side. The last version of the boat was the Seahog Trio made by Arnie Holt at Poolside Mouldings in Freckleton Lancashire. Following Arnie’s death the Trio’s mould and manufacturing rights were sold and they are still being made. One more piece of information, there was/is a fibreglass supplier in Southport who back in the 1980’s would loan out a CJR mould for their customers to do a home build.
Outboard mounted too low
I don’t climb those stairs during the day, let alone the night!! 😂😭 braver than me
I walked to the top with 3 dogs once... pretty stupid idea
I'm not a fan of heights at all but I do like to scare myself haha thanks for the comments sorry for the very late reply 😅
Where is this id love the visit
Very empty was trashed and emptied not long after thanks for the comment sorry for the very late reply
Is your sikaflex white? I’ve got black and need white or grey, (can you paint over it?) Also, could you not keep and sleep on the CJR?! I do when fishing the Norfolk broads, but mine is a 16ft, which I think is just a longer deck 👍🏼
I've used black and white depending on were ect and I wouldn't paint over it probably could but will more then likely just flake off.i suppose it's possible to sleep on her but would be very uncomfortable not very practical with how it's made inside cab thanks for your comment mate
Be careful 🤪 and have fun
I genuinely can feel the pain and ultimate frustration. Great work again. The Mrs’ didn’t sabotage Pops, she want you to have fun 👍🏼
Thanks mate and I reckon she did it still 😂😂😂

She's come along way from this point , like a brand new boat , great watch already
She certainly has thanks for watching 👀 😊
Boar* nice video btw
Well, at least they got to travel while the world was still free. Who knows what treasures might be hiding under all that rubble. Do you think these people were hoarders or did vandals rummage through and throw all their belongings on the floors? Good video. I can never understand why people hang dead things on their walls. That well was very curious.
Certainly did travel and the man was a mbe and served in the army for many years.yes very bad hoarders I was told they loved there when it was like this but it's also been tipped upside down by thief's and vandals.the well was awsome I'm told over a 1000ft deep and I can believe it thank you for your comments as always x
Watched every episode should be very proud of yourself
Thank you mate I really appreciate that there is more to come I'm currently making a new episode sorting some issues out then sea trials prt2 👍
@@anurbanhistory2975 great stuff il be looking out for the notification. Not the best weather for sea trials… well not here in the north east anyway lol
