Welcome to Maunsell Brake 6686!!! A celebration of the wonderful world of steam from times gone by!!!! Here you will find lots of exciting content filmed at preserved railways across the UK!!!! I regularly film at the Bluebell Railway in Sussex, visiting galas, locations by the lineside, and editing compilations of locos and classes. I also visit a variety of other lines in the south east, and around the country, including the Spa Valley Railway and the Kent and East Sussex Railway.

Peckett 'Henbury' on the Bristol Harbour Railway, 17/08/2024
The Bristol Harbour Railway was offering train rides on their demonstration line over weekends in August 2024. The locomotive in use was Peckett and Sons Works No 1940 'Henbury', built in 1937, working at the docks in Bristol.

To Whistle in the New Year, The Bluebell Railway held a mini-gala. Four locomotives operated passenger, goods, and shuttle services along half of the Bluebell Railway, to just south of Sharpthorne Tunnel, which is closed for track work. Over past 20 years, the Brighton Atlantic Group have painstakingly built Beachy Head, an LB&SCR H2 Atlantic Class. None of this fabulous class were preserved, creating a seemingly irreparable gap in preservation. Caledonian Railway 812 Class No 828 has been on loan to the Spa Valley Railway since 2022 from its home base at the Strathspey Railway. GWR Manor No 7812 'Erlestoke Manor', from the Severn Valley, was a visiting locomotive for the Bluebell Railway's Branch Line Gala Weekend. The loco then stayed for the next weekend's Road Meets Rail event. Here we see No 7812 hard at work charging the gradients of the Bluebell Railway, on three dates in May. For the final time in 2024, the Bluebell Railway operated its Timetable C on Sunday the 27th October. After this there is one more week of Timetable B before a brief shutdown before the Winter season.
