The Story of a Racist Owner Destroying a Franchise
Just a warning, Ted Stepien was an absolute goof. On top of ruining the Cavaliers franchise in record time, he managed to ignite a league-wide rule change which is still in effect... he also said quite a few racist things which were questionable even by 1980's standards!

I know I know, I'm not breaking any big news here that Portland has screwed up a couple times at the Draft table... but folks, it's always worth a deep dive because it's truly madness! The parallels between Greg Oden and Sam Bowie in terms of their draft selections are eery, and I break it all down in this video! The Story of an NBA Star Scamming a Blind Man
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.Год назад
Back in 03/04, the Cleveland Cavaliers had a dynamic duo chalked full of promise that would seemingly have taken them through the rest of the decade into hopeful title contention - LeBron James & Carlos Boozer. The best individual talent of LeBron's first stint in Cleveland was brutally taken from him when said talent scammed the Cavs owner... a blind man. The Story of an NBA Star Scamming a Bl...

When Russell Westbrook Dominated the NBA Finals

With the dawn of a new season in the NBA, I figured I would revisit an epic moment from just over a decade ago, featuring arguably the most polarizing player currently in the league - Russell Westbrook. Unbelievable NBA Trades That Changed History!

    What makes sense is that Lebron's colossal failure in the NBA finals is something that never happened to MJ in any series, finals, or otherwise, so while he rose above that very low moment, it can be used to differentiate between the two players, which should be seen as good analysis rather than Lebron hate.

    Failing is one thing. Talking trash and putting the league on notice and then failing to back it up is a huge problem and it has understandably caused people to criticise him.

    His best path for a legacy if he just couldn't be arsed to put up with the failed management in Cleveland: Join the Bulls! In 2010 that is Derrick Rose on the cusp of greatness. I know, I know. Rose falls apart. Maybe teach Rose how to land right in the offseason, altering his career lol. But even if he does, it's much easier to recruit in Chicago. You beat Wade/Bosh a few times in finals, get your legacy safe, then either recruit or bounce back to Cleveland to do the Kyrie thing again. Or straight to LA right after Kobe retires.

    LEBRON OFTEN SAYS THAT "HE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT PIECES" WHEN HE FAILED TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THOSE SAME CAVALIERS THAT WON THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS AND WENT ON TO THE NBA FINALS, LEBRON EXCUSES HIS LOSING AS "NOT HAVING THE RIGHT PIECES" THIS IS THE ULTIMATE DISRESPECT TO THE PEOPLE YOU PLAYED WITH! FOR LEBRON TO DISMISS EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT TEAM, THAT TEAM THAT WAS THE BEST IN THE EAST, THAT TEAM THAT SENT 3 OTHER TEAMS HOME IN THE PLAYOFFS, THAT TEAM WITH NO REAL ALL-STARS BEATING TEAMS WITH ALL-STARS AND YET THE WEREN'T "THE RIGHT PIECES" LEBRON IS BASICALLY SAYING HE DID ALL OF THAT ON HIS OWN AND IT WASN'T HIS FAULT THAT HE DIDN'T HAVE A PROPER TEAM! I DON'T KNOW HOW ANYONE WHO EVER PLAYED WITH HIM ON THAT TEAM COULD EVER LOOK AT HIM WITH ANY RESPECT OR FRIENDSHIP. LEBRON SOLD OUT HIS TEAM AS LOSERS SO THAT LOSING WOULD NOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH HIM. CLASSLESS DUDE AND IT SHOWS UP IN HIS APPROACH TO THE GAME. YOU HAVE TO BE A VERY INSECURE AND WEAK MAN TO DO ALL OF THIS JUST TO TRY TO BE HELD IN A BETTER REVERENCE THAN MICHAEL JORDAN! SELLING OUT TEAMMATES, GETTING COACHES FIRED, CLAIMING THAT YOU WERE LET DOWN! WELL I'M GUESSING IN THIS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THAT YOU "WEREN'T THE RIGHT PIECE" BECAUSE YOU LET YOUR TEAM DOWN! THE MAN HAS NO CLASS!

    The irony is that it's not the defeat that cemented LBJ as not-the-GOAT, had the Heat won, Wade would have been the Finals MVP and I'm sorry, you can't be the GOAT if you are not even the best player in the Finals. It's like Tatum, Brown was the one that won both ECF MVP and Finals MVP, Tatum is more talented but can you for sure say he is the Celtics franchise player? He is an All-Star and All-NBA, but not a superstar, the same way LBJ has his longevity and athletic freakiness on his side but he is no GOAT.

  • @theSUBVERSIVE
    @theSUBVERSIVE 3 месяца назад

    I don't think that people dislike LBJ because he left the Cavs, the franchise wasn't helping him, that's a fact. The problem is that he did all of The Decision in his hometown just to announce he was leaving?? Just to proceed to make what turned out to be empty promises of not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7... That's someone who is detached from Earth. The irony is that had LBJ stayed with the Heat he would probably had more titles than he has now. What I don't like about his MO off the court is the narratives, the carefully timed tweets to grab the attention back to him, how he changed the focus of getting swept in the WCF to "I might retire...", how he forces his hand on trades just to take no responsibility whatsoever, how he calls himself the GOAT, etc. Getting caught trying to outsmart others makes you not so smart after all, it's just pretentious. And then, we have things like the 2011 Finals...

  • @theSUBVERSIVE
    @theSUBVERSIVE 3 месяца назад

    Nah, even if you are neutral, the 2011 Finals ended the GOAT conversation, if it was MJ, Kobe, or any other player, you can't get past this.

    Youre kinda downplaying the 90's era where Glenn robinson and Vin baker led the bucks and both posted their career highs in the same season in 1994. You also forgot about the late 80's led by sidney moncrief who won spot and said to be one of rookie MJ's toughest opponents on the court and late 2000's where Michael redd held the record for most points by a bucks player until Giannis broke it. But I understand because this is the history of the bucks in under a minute

    Carlos Boozer didn't "scam" anybody; he did what was best for himself and his family. He had all intentions of signing back with Cleveland until the Jazz made him an offer he could not refuse, 70 million when the Cavs could only offer 40 million. The owner knew the risks when he let him out of his contract. To expect Carlos to turn down 30 million dollars out of a sense of "loyalty" to the Cavs is foolhardiness and naivete on the part of the owner. NBA teams NEVER show loyalty to any of their players, they always do what's best for their business, and why would they expect any different from Carlos?

    21:10 you respect that? That was one of the most pathetic, insecure quotes a premiere athlete has ever spoken. Completely deflecting from the point and trying to bully spectators? The average fan might not have been blessed with great athleticism, but we can all recognize competitive spirit and desire to win-and LeBron's philosophy in that quote is cowardly and bankrupt. He also followed it up this year in 2024 with his "it's just basketball" quote after losing to Denver, again. Such a stark contrast to the mental approach of Jordan or Kobe or so many other all-time legends.
