Wonderful video, thank you so much! Been home for 3 weeks, walked the same as you, miss it a lot!
@@annarosenberg1251 happy you enjoyed it!
Hi, enjoyed watching this, thanks for sharing. I'm walking the part from Vigo to Santiago next month, i walked a 3 month camino this spring/summer, starting from my home in Belgium and i'm looking forward to being back in Galicia 🙂
@@nancycompagnie6500 happy you enjoyed it. Wow you walked all the way from Belgium? That’s epic
@@josephrasmussen4463 it really was 🙂
Fantastic video. Off to do my first one next April - just not sure which one yet. Might go big and do the Frances. I’m 58, just retired….and have the time. And I hate you for the Interstellar bit - I was in pieces. 🤣 I’m not religious in any way, but I get your faith. It’s impressive. I’m not that adventurous so it’s time to step out of the box and do something a bit out there. So thank you for the inspiration. Good luck my friend. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks a lot Tony, kind words. It's brilliant that you are going to give it a go, take your time. You'll love it. Good luck!
What month did you walk this Camino?
Great video sharing your experience and thoughts. "The best things in life are simple," that's exactly what you learn from the Portuguese. Another thing you learn is their beer, wine, and Port are fantastic!
@@MrRugbyprop1 thanks a lot! You are absolutely right there, plus the coffee
Very beautifully done video. Thank you for sharing.
@@smisplacedalaskan1762 thanks a lot :)
Nicely done! Heading to Porto at the end of February 2024 to try the same route. Thanks for the inspiration and information.

What a lovely video you created and a beautiful, sensitive spirit that you possess (I especially loved your feline friends).
@@fitmelissa1 thanks for the kind words
What a super video, I am desperate to do the Camin, your filming is very sensitively achieved, and the choice of music conveys the emotions of each day.
@@resurgem happy you enjoyed it
What a great video. My cousin and I go to Porto on the first of october. Then we are going to make a start on the camino. We only have a week, next year we Come back to finish it

Ohhh what a wonderful video!! I walked three caminos (twice frances, once del norte) and you made me want to go on the forth one! Thank you for filming and sharing. By the way the quality of visual and sound is spot on, would never have guessed it was shot only with an iPhone. Peace❤
Wow, thanks a lot for the encouragement! I really hope you add the Portuguese one to your list too.
Thank you for sharing your journey Joseph. I have been considering the Coastal Route/Spiritual Variant, your film has me convinced that it is "The Way" for me. Buen Camino!
@@deborahburt9456 glad to hear it! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, buen camino
Thank you. It was wonderful to watch. In which month did you go? We are thinking about December but not sure what winter in Portugal is like. Best of luck for all your new adventures

nah man

Of course. Found it: Lampião Caffé
May I ask in which month did you do your walk?
Of course. It was late Jan/early Feb
Doing this same, my 1st, Camino walk in September. Thanks for this video; I almost want to do it during the winter as it looks great and peaceful
You will love it
Wonderful video! I'll be doing the Portuguese route and spiritual variant in September with a group of women. I'm definitely sharing your video. Thanks! 😊
thanks a lot and good on you! Buen Camino
I am so pleased to see a godly man do the Camino - it is meant to be a spiritual retreat but increasingly it seems to have been overtaken by sports enthusiasts just looking for an adventure. ✝️
Thanks John, it was definitely a good moment to spend with the Lord
Doing the same trip now! Will be in Santiago in 2 days God willing. Loved your video and will share with others. Thank you for your thoughts about Abraham and adventure and faith. That is a very powerful message i will take home with me to share with friends and family! Thank You! God bless you!
Did you make it to Santiago ok? Thanks for the kind comment glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed your post....My wife and I just returned from Portugal & Spain, wife walked the Camino Portuguese Spiritual variant, I was her pit crew....though I didn't really walk it (due to a past leg injury) the whole experience was a blessing, the sights, sounds, & people we met along the way were such a joy to experience, and the spiritual experience, fellowshipping with God along the way clearly was a Blessing from God. We're planning a return.
Sounds like it was an epic adventure. Which one will you walk next?
What was your mode of transportation as a pit crew. Wanted to do same support for my husband .thanks
Thank you very much Joseph for your inspiring video! Special thanks for the lovely images, the music and for what you said on adventure! I walked the camino Frances september 2022. I am retired now and hope to walk the coastal portuguese camino in spring 2025. Keep doing what you are doing, you inspire a lot of people!
Thanks a lot for the kind encouragement. I’m happy you enjoyed it and I hope it does inspire you ahead of the coastal route. All the best!
Thanks for this video. It found me a few days after I finished the Portuguese Camino myself. The words and thoughts you expressed resonate with my aftertaste. It was nice to see again the places I passed and remember the moments, tastes and people I met along the way. Great job mate, thanks again for this video.
Thanks for the feedback mate, I’m thrilled you enjoyed it and could relive those moments again for a bit. All the best
Budding film maker this guy eh
Loved that song Layers on Layers. Never heard it before! Great video as well.
Yes Fink is a great artist! The song felt like a good fit there
Your comments about Abraham (Abram when called to adventure) are wonderful! Thank you for sharing everything!
So happy it inspired you, all Glory to God!
Thank you, such a pleasure to watch your journey.
Thanks a lot :)
Awesome joe. Do you really need walking sticks? I had them through Camino Frances but rather not bring on this route.
Thank you! Definitely recommend them. I used to dismiss them as no one seems to use them in New Zealand. However I borrowed my girlfriend's and it made a massive difference in the end, at one point towards the end I was leaning on them a lot with sore feet.
Hi Joseph, Many thanks for posting your wonderful video. I had the pleasure of doing the coastal Camino with my son last May, and as you quiet rightly say, everyone has to experience it in their own way, everyone has their own Camino. You have a given people an opportunity to see what is available to them if they just make the effort to do it. Your camera work, editing, music and naration are a credit to you,and I wish you many more adventures and Gods blessing in all that you undertake. Buen Camino.
Thanks a lot for the kind feedback. That must have been a great experience doing that with your son! All the best and God bless you
It was the best EVER. Stay safe, and keep on using your obvious talent for film making.@@josephrasmussen4463
What a beautiful, profound, and impactful ending and sharing of this journey for you. Thank-you for sharing.
Thanks a lot Michele! Stoked you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the vid! You're the only one that I've seen (so far) who has done the spiritual variant, so thnx for that! 13 days - that's good time. I also liked your reflection at the end. Safe travels and buen camino!
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed the video!
When did you guys walk this route?
Heya, late Jan / early Feb
Wonderful journey and a spectacular video diary. My wife and I will be on the coastal route in April 2024 to celebrate our 34th. This video is a great introduction! Thanks, Joseph!
Thanks a lot for the comment! Good idea for a bonding experience
Man that was brilliant. I’m getting on now in ages. But I think I can still do it. Thanks
Never too old. People of all ages walking it. Just take your time, have a wine along the way, there's no rush!
Would you share your day-to-day itinerary?
To be honest, I didn't plan too much of an itinerary, because it's along the coast it was easy to just set a general direction and stop/start in the closest towns wherever I felt like.
Wow. That transition at 20:44 was absolutely beautiful
Thanks a lot! I'm happy somebody noticed that one haha
@@josephrasmussen4463 yes! Also the fact that you were playing the song Collie Man! haha great sound score!
