@@Yoxicofficial mechanic ripped it apart and my whole def system was backed up from the start of it to the end of the def system so he had to straight pipe my truck basically so i didn’t have to spend 1500 on parts alone and he had a guy tune it over a computer from a different state

Sorry didn’t respond earlier. I believe what happened was the actuator stopped working and this truck was used for a long time with out it working and sweeping on start up. So soot built up on the vanes. I worked the lever back and forth and started the truck which blew away the soot, and it freed up very easily.

False. Use an SPDT switch. Can't back feed.

@@BLAlley An SPDT switch will do both auxiliary power from a battery AND reverse power from the tow vehicle, and keeps the feed circuits separated. You can either have it in the OFF position in the middle, flip it one way to turn them on from your trailer battery, and flip it the other way to turn on from the reverse signal. Do some more research.

There's a sensor on top of the engine right beside the turbo hose. The black square sensor on the engine pulls it off clean it put it back in, and your problem is solved. Read this message around because this fix my truck it was a totally free Fix, everyone telling me that I needed to replace the engine or I needed a new Turbo😂

I run exclusively Blue Def Platinum and just got the Def problem see dealer message yesterday, again. First time at 14000 miles and again at 21000 miles. Getting rid of this POS

Yes it will eventually come back, but it will give you some extra driving distance in a pinch.

​@@TheATVboy17 I got that message a little over or close to 400k miles... Replaced the DEF injector and the message was gone at start up. Drove for nearly a week then the message came back. I then replaced the DEF pump(should've replaced them at the same time), the message left and never came back.

Did you disconnect both batteries and touch the neg and positive cables together?

My 2016 MC gave me the same message last year. It wouldn't reset and I ended going into limp mode in Georgia on I-95 in Savannah. I couldn't go above 15mph with a damn load that had to be delivered the port. ended up having to trade for a new truck. Don't make my mistake if you get this message take it to the darn dealer or someone you trust. YOUR truck will F you when you least expect it so by wise.

@@TheATVboy17 I'm confused you didn't say to touch the cables together in the video. So, you unhook both battery cables on each battery and touch the cables together?

@@5starlawncare yes remove both positive and negative cables off both batteries. And touch one pair of + and negative cables together. This removes all power from the truck and control modules, touching the cables together discharges and capacitors or any residual voltage. This is also a way to reset a check engine light without a scan tool if needed.

Why don’t you just delete the def and dpf since you have a mm3 ?

Everything is still good, It didn’t stay nice and pretty black it’s starting to get a little bit of a rusty look other than that seems good. I can hear the slightest difference in sound but nothing you would notice if you didn’t know the manifold was changed.

Was the problem just the exhaust brake squealing or was it down on boost PSI as well? Mine has the squeal and just started doing it under load. Shortly afterwards it only pulls 13PSI under load in 6th gear, maybe 18PSI in 5th gear. It used to pull 29PSI under load 🙄

@@jonringard5080 When I first noticed it it would only come on when the exhaust brake kicked on but eventually it got bad enough where it would always have that exhaust leak but I didn’t notice any loss in boost pressure.
