Webasto ThermoPro 90 Review.
An excellent and recommended furnace. While all brands "work" Webasto is far, far easier to service, and they all need service at about 1000-1500 hours of run time. Often this is simply a cleaning, but with other types that can be unduly complicated.

Becoming conversant in the use of the compass can enhance our Intuition.

    Return Line: I assume the return line from the injectors goes back into the main tank. So 2.5 gallons will last less than expected by normal engine fuel consumption rates. Return line fuel is as hot, coming from the engine. These are considerations I don't see in most sailboat day tanks.

      Mostly pull the burner carefully and decoke it. Be very careful to not harm the steel felt. I often will soak the unit in diesel or even a dip in acetone will help. So can build up on the fins of the exchanger too and this can be cleaned with a vac and a spare tooth brush.

    The main reason I install these on yachts is to support the bilge pump in the case of a power interrupt. It's very powerful for that purpose. UPDATE: So it's definitely functioning on spec. I am using approximately 50-60 amp hours on average running lights and furnace, and with no other power inputs such as the solar array the Efoy keeps up easily with an average daily run time of 9 hours, and .4 liter of consumption. Even if I were anchored out the whole of the winter, it would be unlikely to have 30-50 days a year that were THAT severe, with no solar input or elsewise. It looks as three m10 cartridges should run the whole of the winter with no hiccups.

    Very interesting. I've never counted my steps before. I do, however, know that I consistently walk 1km every 10 minutes, usually down to the minute or minute in a half. I counted today, based on the ballpark of 1.6km to a mile on the map, about 915 strides unladen and 943 strides back, laden with a knapsack full of groceries. It's also a bit snowy and fairly icy, so my stride length wasn't consistent. I'll definitely keep doing it to get a better average.

    • @leo169
      @leo169 4 года назад

      That is interesting to know. There is a stretch I walk to work that is ~800m, I have done it twice and both times got around 460 strides, so about 920 for a mile. I thought that I might have the distance wrong to get that low, but if you are doing around the same then probably not. Cheers.

      That's not a crazy number by any stretch if you're on the tallish side especially, and not carrying much. I've walked probably 5000 miles or so carrying a pack so one gets a really grind gate established after a while, but experience can teach one how to factor a bit.

  • @Bb2b75
    @Bb2b75 4 года назад

    This was going to prove a little harder for me to measure my steps over a mile. I live remotely in a mountainous region and far from a road with markers. I do have a zigzag cutting that has been partially cleared down the side of the mountain i live on. It takes you from the top where my house is into the valley bellow. It was going to be the best terrain in regard to even strides and a reasonable pace. I knew from past experience my pace of 5km/h. I have walked heaps in my life and this pace I am very familiar with. So with the steep incline and decline of the zigzag and it not being one mile i would have to go up and down a few times to reach the mile. There is a bit of undergrowth in this area too which would slow me down. So I calculated a pace of around 4.5 km/h taking into consideration the terrain. As such to reach the 1.6km or one mile i set my timer for 21.5 minutes to have a rough indication of distance. Going down the zigzag took 200 steps and to retrace those steps coming back up took 240. The timer of 21.5 minutes ran out when i had taken 1044 steps in total. I am curious for the rest of the week to do this and see the variation from today's results. This wasn't exact but I am confident i would be within a 10% tolerance and maybe even as close as 5%. This can be verified later with the assistance of the GPS. In regard to the count I was OK with that. My mind did not wander too much. Every time i got too 100 steps i would restart at one and lifted a finger to keep the 100 counts already counted.

    • @soulcatchercharters5008
      @soulcatchercharters5008 4 года назад

      That sort of thing will give you similar results, and any of these exercises can be adapted to get the desired end result, which is a conscious connection between distance and stride.
