Hi Stefan, I have a question regarding Wilbers. I want to install on my 2024 CVO Road Glide, but unsure if I need to purchase the front cartridge system or can I just use the springs? What's the difference?

Thank you for a great video. I’m about to install Nivomat on my 2019 Street Glide Special. The kit came with replacement preload bushings. The paper with the kit refers to a FL3 bike, but mine is the SGS. Has this changed?

Hello Stefan, do you have a pre-rushmore Wilbers Nivomat installation video? I've ordered a kit from EPM (309-1002-02), but not sure if the pre-loads are included in the kit. I have a 2012 RG, 41mm tubes with damper valves (no pre-loads). Thank you for sharing your time with us, your videos are awesome.

Bei mir steht diesen Monat ein Wilbers Nivomat an und ein 14" Santee Lenker. Hab alles hier liegen. Für beides sind deine Videos erstklassiges Material! 👍

Put them in my 09 ultra classic and the vibration was shocking ended up taking them out.

I installed a metal plate from Amazon to the floor of my 2024 chopped Pak. It really stiffens the Pak and is low profile. Not expensive at all. All Paks had them in the past.

Never had this issue on my 13 Street Glide, 95 Soft tail, or 98 Sportster, only on my 07 Dyna-Glide!

Wilbers suspension. Hi @Stefansgarage3014. Have a 2018 FLHCS Heritage classic 114. Ride both by myself and with my wife. A few times a year, my wife and I go on holiday with packing. Today I have Öhlins both front and rear but I don't think it works well. difficult to set up optimally when I ride with such different weights on my Harley. Very interested in Wilbers Nivomat shock absorber set. Would love for you to install this for me so everything is set up correctly. . Where in Germany do you live? I myself live in Ystad in Sweden.

This may have been addressed already but I’ve read elsewhere that this helps out tremendously. Only drawback is it also creates a rougher ride given the material is stiffer than stock. I don’t really care if it is or isn’t. I will still be replacing mine ASAP. Great video, just want some feedback on ride quality. Thanks.

Harley is so overpriced to not come with really good suspension like the Wilbers kind. At least they’ve upgraded the brakes over the years

Gday Stefan. I’m very interested in correct tyre pressures on my 24 Roadglide. I’ve recently been touring 2 up and have been seeing very high pressure increases on the rear tyre from 40psi up to 50/51 psi with the pressure monitors. It seems to me that Harley are possibly recommending incorrect pressure due to the extreme gains in pressure that I am seeing. Factory fitted Dunlops. Should I be running higher pressures. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers

Pay attention to the amount of shims in the rear axle to achieve preload on the bearings. Also check the wear and alignment of the belt. Don’t trust the cam adjuster on the axle for proper positioning.

Thank you Stefan for another great informative Harley maintenaince video. I have found that a wobble is many times the result of neck bearings needing to be adjusted. Usually on the Roadglides it starts to apper around 10k-15K miles (16k-24k km). The correct way to adjust the neck bearings is the fall away method mentioned in the serive manual.

With such a new motorcycle, this should all be covered under the warranty. But I know that Harley dealers are always trying to get out of it... it has to be like that, it's a Harley

Metzler has had defective tires that have caused the wobble issue in Indian challengers as well. Go back to stock Dunlop. They have always balanced very well. Deviation from stock is always a risk !

Assuming the shock spring rates are the same can be a mistake. Carefully adjusting the preload on shocks independently and riding can yield extra stability. I have 2024 CVORGST and no problems riding no handed at 80 mph and stable as a rock. Harley couldn’t improve my Brand new 2021 SG Special and I did above and didn’t get rid of 100% of wobble but made it good enough that it wasn’t really a problem anymore.

If you think that's bad, go ride a BMW K1600B or Grand America in traffic on the autobahn. You'll go back and hug your Harley.

Where did you buy the front engine mount? Did this part have any effect on your motorbike?

Thankyou Stefan, that was very informative. The few times I have had a steering wobble I usually accelerated out of it. Steering wobble can often be fleeting and perhaps due to weather or road conditions on the day rather than the bike itself. Of course if it is a regular occurrence then steps need to be taken as you suggest.

Ich hoffe bei den ganz neuen Modellen ist das kein Problem. 2018-22 sind glaube ich echte Problemjahre für den death wobble. Hatte eine 2014er StreetGlide die fuhr locker 190 ohne eine Bewegung. Meine 2018er fängt bei 150 an zu schlingern. Allerdings bin ich auch eher der gemütliche Fahrer und schneller als 120 auf langer Strecke wird es eh nicht. Problem kommt erst wenn man überholen muss und dann schneller wird.

Servus Stefan... - danke fürs Video. Ich fahre die Metzeler Cruisetec... angegeben von Metzeler sind 2.5 für vorne, und 2.8 Bar für hinten. Gehst Du darüber hinaus ?

My 2024 road glide would go into a wobble around 30-40 with hands off the bars ever since it was new. I was about to check the steering head bearing free play after putting a new tire on. I put an American Elite tire on, mounted it myself and the wobble is completely gone and has been gone. I am running the same tire pressure I was in the stock Dunlop tire as well.

Thank you Stefan. I was very grateful for your advice when I contacted you regarding a wobble on the 2021 Road Glide. These days the old girl passes 120mph rock steady, as long as the wind is not too turbulent. Very interesting your +4psi for Metzeler. I’ve made a note to increase my levels. I added a King Tour Pak and thankfully it hasn’t caused any problems. Single malt looking nicely broken in now 👌
